Seehotel Winkelried

I really enjoyed the spacious room, the large shaded balcony, and the beautiful view of the lake. The hotel staff were very friendly, especially the receptionist who kindly helped us move to a room on a higher floor. The hotel is also in an outstanding location, right on the lakeside in an idyllic setting. Finally, the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the high heatwave alert.

The first room we were given was on the first floor. Fortunately, we were able to move to a room on the second floor, thanks to the super kind and friendly reception person. On lower floors, the roof of the restaurant in front of the hotel make the view and picture taking much less beautiful. Ideally, if you have a lake view room, you should request a room on the third or fourth floor. I also did not particularly like the bathtub with only a glass screen (personal opinion), as it makes showering less comfortable. You have to be careful not to splash water all over the bathroom. A fully enclosed shower would be a much better solution.

Bed very small and there is nothing in room like kettle or coffee maker

Accidentally went to restaurant instead of Italian as they were all outside and didn't realise I sat in the main restaurant

Nice room, water, tea and coffee available close to reception.

Terrible noice outside almost during whole day due to construction nearby. They started at 7am. If I knew I'd never chosen hotel during this time. Poor breakfast. Many attractions with extra cost sauna, place for rest/entering the lake)
