Peaceful and friendly stay

We stopped here for one night on our way to Italy and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, the surroundings were beautiful, and the place had a peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly what we needed to rest and recharge before continuing our trip.

The only downside was that the room felt a bit small for three people, and the air conditioning was a portable unit that looked a bit like a fridge and made quite some noise. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.

Good value for Switzerland with stunning views

Stunning view from room. Good value for Switzerland. Breakfast really good - even a Swissified 'small English' if you wanted'. Evening meal good and generous portions. No Tea/Coffee in room but this is available for free from a proper coffee-machine on the 3rd floor... tastes far better!

Lovely room facing the mountain. Excellent walk in shower. Good breakfast. Ate in the hotel restaurant as it was quite remote, food very good.

Out of the way not many facilities close by, no option of small bites just main meals /dinners . Coffee machine didn’t work to have coffee in room which was in the corridor . Would have been nice to have coffee/tea in room

Amazing Lake Lucerne view!

The Lake Lucerne view was amazing! The room was clean and adequate. The food in the restaurant was good.

The shower kept changing from super hot to cool. This needs to be addressed, as it was quite uncomfortable. It’s a hike from the train station, although there is a free shuttle every hour. You still need to walk a bit after the drop off.

Magnificent Lake View~

Wonderful lake view, comfortable room and balcony. friendly staffs and peaceful environment

no public traffic direct to the door or nearby. Large luggages would become nightmare for customers. I suggest the hotel should contact customers before check-in for their needs of taxi transport from train station.

Lovely, comfortable stay

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Roggerli, staff were friendly and the restaurant has a beautiful view over the lake. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom neat and tidy and modern.

Beautiful views, clean rooms, incredibly helpful staff and great service all round. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed last year only for one night but they remembered us. The hotel and staff are highly recommended and the restaurant and food is also very good.

Lovely stay on the outskirts of Lucerne

Beautiful location! Clean,comfortable and large 2 bedroom apartment. Breakfast was great!! And you could seat on the balcony overlooking the lake. The girl who set up breakfast was great and so helpful!!

Amazing views, comfortable room. Staff were really helpful (even when we forgot Switzerland has different plugs to the rest of europe). Breakfast was filling. Food in the restaurant for dinner was really nice, would recommend staying close to home one night and giving it a try

It was the second time that we have chosen this hotel on our way to Italy. It's nicely located - beautiful views and close to the high way, but also good for a quick trip to Luzern. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. We also had a tasty dinner at their restaurant. We were travelling with 5-month old baby and everything was very convenient. The staff was kind and helpful.

Beautiful, Quiet Place

What a wonderful way to stay in the Lucerne area! This hotel/restaurant is up on a hillside in almost a farm setting. The room was comfortable and the balcony had a great view of the lake and town below. Super quiet. If you want to go to the city or other sights, just go to the train station below and hop on. The restaurant had wonderful Swiss specialties.

The balconies have an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The rooms (especially the suite) are nice with comfortable beds. If you can afford the suite, it is much nicer than everything else they have and is truly amazing. Breakfast was also good.

The bathroom in the non-suite was a bit small and dated.

Lovely location, nicely furnished rooms & tasty food.

The rooms have been nicely furnished, lovely attractive bedding & accessories, looks more like a bedroom in a home than a hotel. So very pleasing. The bedside lamps are amazing, able to choose which type of ambient light you like. The bathrooms are the giveaway that the hotel is older, but are perfectly functional with really good quality towels & toiletries. Lovely breakfast buffet, I needed my breakfast to take away & they were very accommodating. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, really tasty, well prepared & beautifully presented. Switzerland prices are very high so expect to pay above the European average for dinner & wine. The location is right above the lake to the views are incredible, a nice walking workout can be had up & down the hill in to town. Overall a lovely stay.

Perhaps more modern bathrooms but there’s really nothing wrong with the existing ones, they just look dated compared to the room.
