Comfortable Engelberg Hotel

Great location across from Train Station. Well run with comfortable rooms, some of which have kitchen facilities. Good breakfast and cosy Wellness area. Only a short walk into the town centre for restaurants, shops, Ski lifts etc

Good hotel at great location, but pillows must be better

Contact with the hotel on late check-in was good. Friendly staff, clean room, nice sauna and wonderful breakfast. Location very close to the Titlis skilift and the main shopping street with restaurants.

Shower cabin in our room was small. Pillows were just filled with air and gave no support at all. Bring your own pillow if you are used to a decent one and want a good night sleep.

We had a great time there and we would definitely return.

Everything is great. Rooms are cleaned and big enough. The breakfast is tasty and you have enough options to choose from. And the surroundings are beautiful. You can take a walk to the centrum, go up on mountain or have a chill evening by the lake.

Great hotel, despite the manager

Excellent hotel, very well maintained, super clean. Quite decent breakfast. At short walking distance from cable car and village center.

I did already read before going many comments about the bad character of the owner, and I must say that are sadly true. They changed without notice the type of room we booked (we paid extra for the kitchen, but we didn’t have it assigned). When we claimed about it he reacted as badly mannered as I expected, so I took it easy to avoid conflict. Instead of assuming their error, they just put excuses like the fact we had two small dogs (they had already changed the room before knowing that!). This person simply doesn’t seem to know what means customer service. It’s really a pity and the only negative aspect about this otherwise great hotel.

Perfect place to stay for relaxing 😌 during holidays

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is right across the train station. The view from the balcony is exceptionally calm to watch the snow covered mountains. The breakfast was very good. The staff is very polite and helpful. The owner was also very kind.

The hotel is in a very scenic town, and the room and the hotel were tidy and clean.

The staff is available only for limited hours, and after 5 p.m., there is no one to assist you if needed. Additionally, the hot bath requires a cash payment, so without cash, you may face inconvenience. Please also note that the single room does not have a balcony or a view, which is not mentioned on the website.

Perfect place to stay, make it outstanding by bringing the restaurant up and running ;)

Breakfast was amazing! Room was clean and quite with a nice view, and location wise perfect, not in the rush of the city but yet closest to the cable car up to Titlis.

The only thing that I wasn't that happy about was that for some (unknown) reasons the restaurant was not functional. Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Especially the staff :)

Everything is perfect.

Everything!! We arrived at 1 AM, they put the keys and check in form in the receptionist so we can straight to go to our room. Hassle free. With the classic exterior building, surprisingly the interior is super modern. The location is perfect. Few steps to kids playground, pharmacies, supermarket, train station, and 10 minutes walking distance to cable car to go to Titlis. The breakfast is simple but heart-warming. We always late to have breakfast but they still give us the best service. Excellent!!
