Our stay was amazing. A lovely break away from reality.

We love the cabin. And now the extension in garden area is great it feels very secure along side having the seating area is great! The cabin is so cozy!

We weren’t too keen on the camera on the side of the cabin as it seemed to be quite invasive as we were in the hot tub or sat in the seating area.. another issue we had was the old rose petals around the room.. 🙃

looked old, calor gas canisters need to be hidden, could go with a cost of paint around hot tub, toilet is v v close to sliding door ! One half of a J cloth given to wash up. Towels and robes just felt and smelt tired

The surroundings were tranquil, relaxing and very beautiful. I felt so relaxed and enjoyed our beautiful views over the river. The bed was comfortable the the place was furnished really well. It was charming and homely. Definitely could have spent a week there! Loved how short of a journey it was to Longleat as well. Made things very easygoing. The check in system was also easy and simple however it would have been nice to have been told what to do before arrival as we were quite confused that the reception was locked. The star of the show was the hot tub. Extremely simple to use and control the temperature and it was so relaxing and perfect for a late night dip!

There was only a few niggles - one, we’d have loved a working fly trap. Being by the river, we expected bugs, however one night was absolutely insane. We had them everywhere! There was one in the room but it didn’t come on at all. Also the draining system in the shower needs work. It flooded the bathroom on the second night and started to go into the bedroom. We were in the shower for less than 5 minutes when this happened. Also, could’ve done with somewhere to hang our nice clothes. Lastly the amount of plates and objects to use is very odd. Only one small plate between two of us. Only one egg cup. Just seemed a bit strange but wasn’t really a big deal. Just worth noting down.

Needs hanging space and shelves next to the hot tub. Table on decking rusty and needed a bit of maintenance cutting back the weeds . Could do with some where to hang your clothes in the log too

Lovely location, quite relaxing and lovely scenery. The hot tub was lovely and the pod was so close to the local bar/restaurant. Bed was comfy and the room was tidy on arrival and of us had everything we needed.

The only small issue is the tv signal. The pod had a tv but was unable to be used due to the signal.

the location was beautiful! to wake up next to water on both sides of the lodge was so nice and so relaxing. it was so quiet during our trip and was a very convenient location for longleat safari which was the reason we ventured here!

a few minor things really- it was very flooded around our lodge and we had to toe over some very large puddles haha! little things were missing like hooks around the hot tub for towels and a step to get in and out I’m only 5’3 and it wasn’t easy! somewhere to hang coats and a few items of clothes as there was nowhere to do this. perhaps coat hooks where the lovely hyland cow painting was haha? a few items of cooking utensils would have helped - nothing to use with pan - had to flip pancakes with fork also no information on how to use the microwave oven! we didn’t expect to be cooking full meals there but it was handy to have the things we did. black out blinds would be much better.

Was nice for a couple of quite nights away but tad overpriced for what it was as a whole.

Was cute and cosy and loved that you could wake up by the river - very peaceful area. Hot tub was a great bonus and private which was nice didn’t have to go to far in the cold. Has a restaurant onsite which was handy as the pod has only a small hob & microwave so limited to what u can cook if eating in.

instructions to get to the property weren’t written out very clear but used initiative. It could have been a little cleaner - worktops were clean but window sills and floor not so much. Wi-Fi didn’t work like it said it would the whole time we stayed so we couldn’t use the smart features on the tv as it wouldn’t connect and little staff present at the location so no help available.

Fun, comfortable, private and we'd go back.

The cabin was spotless, it was really private and the facilities were perfect and modern. Modern interior and the bed was so comfortable! And the big window next to the bed looking over the river and forest was stunning. Loved the location, close enough for a quick drive to shops, secluded enough for privacy and the bar/restaurant next to the site was lovely. The hot tub was amazing! My partner and I loved this place and would happily come back.

A bit more cutlery and utensils for cooking would be nice, a bigger saucepan and frying pan would have been nice.

A heavenly oasis

The location is a smalll oasis of relaxation. This is our second stay within this location at Hunters Moon and we plan to continue to visit. It is perfectly set up for fishing, but also really great hot tub relaxation and chilled bar/restaurant facilities.

Not a big enough frying pan to cook 2 breakfasts, but that's a tiny niggle and certainly did not ruin our stay.

Lovely lodge, great location, nice calm atmosphere, relaxed break, excellent privacy, lovely hot tub had cute lil ducks join us for breakfast too!

Missing a few finishing touches i.e hand soap in bathroom, somewhere to hang clothes (a rail would fit perfect in the top cupboard where you just come through the door!) A little welcome hamper option to add to the booking would be nice too, ie. Extra towels, toilet roll, tea/coffee/sugar/ milk/ biscuits, snacks etc A fly squatter would be great too, there was loadsss of them in the bathroom lol not complaining though it was lovely!

Unhygienic Overpriced Disappointing Door was left open so had mosquitos everywhere Hair on the bed Jacuzzi needed cleaning (did not use it as it was that disgusting) No instructions on how to use anything Fridge wasn't even turned on. Was supposed to stay 2 nights, only stayed one as the bed was so uncomfortable on top of all else.

Really peaceful, 5minutes away from the town Center. Absolutely loved it.

Lovely scenery! they have a restaurant/bar right next to our cabin. They welcome you and let you know that your keys are already in the cabin. Think this is to covid restrictions but was a good idea as they said it on their board outside of reception. Was nice and cosy and really nice waking up to the lakeside next to us. nice little seating area outside also to just sit down and relax. I like how they respect privacy with the hot tub and have it cornered on the side of the cabin and no one can see.

Only a small problem but it wasn’t serious. If leave the windows open you get a few little flying bugs in. Mainly was in the bathroom but like I said was nothing serious and was easily sorted. Me and my partner was not fussed about the situation as you are near a lake side so is a possible chance it will happen.

Property was set in a lovely quiet location. The Restaurant and bar on site were both good and had great food.

The property itself was not worth the price paid. Left extremely disappointed. We had no heating or hot water throughout the duration of our stay, we were forced to take freezing cold showers in October. We tried calling the number for Queries that was left at reception multiple times but no one answered. We also tried to message the owner direct through booking.com but because there was very little to no service in the area and certainly no wifi like advertised, we was unable to send the message to let someone know during our stay. Even at the restaurant and bar we could not connect to the wifi. In addition to this, the property itself absolutely stunk of cigarettes, for two non smokers this smell was horrendous and unbearable. The radiator in the bathroom was also leaking, making a constant noise and leaving puddles on the floor that we had to clean up each time we used the bathroom. I would appreciate it if I could be contacted back regarding our terrible experience. Thank you.

Amazing night stay

Stayed here for my partners birthday. Host was amazing. Completely left us to our own devices, and Let us check in early for a small fee. Loved the fact there is a stream right next to the pod, which the balcony looks over, and there’s a lake the other side. Hot tub was also brilliant and onsite restaurant and bar. We didn’t eat here but we did have a couple of drinks and spoke to some of the locals which was lovely. Was so nice to hear the water running next to the pod in the morning.

Location.

I have never written a negative review before, but we were extremely disappointed with the lodge we were moved too (Magpie 3), following a power-cut to Arc Pod which was new. (We understand it was an external fault). Magpie 3 looked old and tied inside, smelt musty, ant powder around the windows and floor, wifi did not work, hot tub was cold (approx 25”C) and only 2/3 full. Wish I’d taken photos to share. The only positive was that the local staff did respond quickly to the change. Would defiantly not stay again. Only sorry that the owner chose not to respond to my initial complaint.

Can’t fault it! Amazing!!

Everything was fab. The location I think would be my favourite, the view out of the hot tub into the woods was so peaceful. Definitely coming back!

only thing I would be nit-picky about is flys, but being by a pond or stream it’s to be expected I suppose. Didn’t make it a bad experience at all
