Fantastic lodge!

Fantastic lodge on a site with other lodges. own parking space right outside so it was super easy to load and unload our bags. Picturesque setting on a lake, we even saw a kingfisher! Excellent location for us, only a short drive to longleat! Really comfy room and bed, clean and warm even when the temperature outside reached -5!! The hot tub was also a great touch for warming up in this freezing weather!

Not the host’s fault, but both Google maps and Apple Maps tried to navigate us down a lane that was not suitable for cars on the way to the lodge! The hosts did give directions but it didn’t say to beware of this. I have tried to report this on maps to prevent this in future but I think it’s worth noting for future guests too! Again, I really loved the lodge and facilities, the only thing the kitchen could maybe do with some oven trays and oven gloves :)

Exceptional

Stayed at Hunters moon for 2 days (Friday-Sunday) After reading the reviews on here I was slightly concerned that it wasn’t as good as it said but all I can say is our experience was perfect. I spent the weekend with my partner for a quiet weekend away and that’s exactly what we got. Contactless check in and out,the lodge was clean and came with everything you need. The hot tub was warm when we arrived so within the first half an hour I was in it. Only thing we picked up on was the bed was squeaky and looked like it had been bodged with paper but apart from that it was fine. Both me and my partner spent both evenings in the hot tub and enjoyed feeing the ducks in the mornings whilst sat on the outside bench having breakfast. Would definitely stay again

very dated not very clean no attention to detail walls damaged locks didn’t work on wardrobes no full length mirror only 1 toilet roll for 2 people for 2 nights for how much we paid we weren’t happy for what we got… it’s not a luxury lodge

Lovely stay scolding shower

Had an amazing time, nicer than the pics, our hot tub was private, only downside was the shower did not allow cold through so could not shower on second day. Overall loved it.

Boiling shower, also on booking.com on the facilities it said no internet but there was, I wanted to bring my now tv box and didn’t because of this.

No check in greet at all, didnt see anyone for the 3 days we were there. When we did ask someone about something he was completely oblivious to what we were talking about.
