Nice location, loads of potential but the dripping noise was really off putting

It was spacious and hot tub was good

There was a constant dripping noise and we couldn’t get to it to stop it. We also were told we couldn’t move and there was nothing maintenance could do that day. We were coming away as parents to 2 and foster parents to 2 all under 11 as well and just wanted peace and quiet. Other than that it was a good stay.

A great find.

Lovely and spacious cabin but cosy at the same time. Overlooked the lake. You can park your car right beside the cabin. Wonderful 4 poster bed in ours and pretty lighting. Kitchen had everything we needed except a corkscrew so we couldn't drink our wine so will remember to pack one next time.

The only complaint I would have is that the outside and hot tub area could do with being brushed down. The wood surround is just covered in cobwebs as is the porch and just about all the outside area. We were in Magpie 5 which was an absolutely wonderful cabin but the hot tub area is one of the smaller ones so no room for a table or chairs so if I stayed again I wouldn't pick that one again which is a real shame.

Could be lovely with some tlc

Lovely location overlooking a lake, we liked the hot tub and the comfortable mattress 😀

Unfortunately it wasn't clean we also had to wash all the dishes and cutlery before we could use it as it was greasy , there was no Cork screw or tin opener ,also one of the curtain hold backs in the bedroom was missing. The bedroom was so dark due to poor lighting that it was impossible to see to do my hair without opening the curtains. On arrival one of the floor lamps was missing a light bulb, we also found it impossible to fathum how to control the heating, it could be lovely but needs some tlc

Need a fan because it was so hot. Called contact number, but it appeared to be a maintenance contractor. Felt uneasy about getting someone out just for a fan! Perhaps a fan should be included during summer months.

Lovely little house on the lake

Excellent communication from the start with a flawless check in. So much more than we were expecting. Peaceful and relaxing, extremely idyllic natural setting. The hot tub was lush. The cabin had such a luxury feel to it with lovely furnishings.

We didn't like that we had to leave, we will definitely be back many times again. We didn't like that there wasn't a shelter over the hot tub, and as it rained we were restricted from using it, but after speaking to management, we now know for next time that we can put up a shelter, so our own fault for not speaking up earlier.

Peaceful and tranquil but near the town if needed.

Loved the location over looking the lake with the swans and geese. The four poster bed was a lovely touch. The lodge was clean. We really enjoyed our stay

The only negative we could think of was that we needed a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine and a scissors.

Definitely not luxury

It was very quiet, which was good. It was within walking distance of a nature reserve, a park with a lake and Warminster town centre. The bedroom was OK and the bed was comfortable also the settees were comfy in the living room. The hot tub was nice, and there is space to park the car right next to the lodge.

The toilet had not been flushed when we arrived. We discovered part way through the trip that there was no can opener. There were no sharp knives to cut with. The lake was covered in algae and there was a Canadian goose with a broken left wing which we messaged the manager about as it couldn't fly, not sure if any action was taken to contact vet as we heard nothing. It was a bit shabby with paint flaking, definitely not luxury. No idea where the key was when we arrived, someone from another lodge across the way told us to go around the back and lodge was open with key on the table. Could be a lovely place if more care taken. No instructions for the appliances either, and we struggled a bit with the cooker. The TV had very limited channels. The review booklet left on the table was a ring-binder, so any mediocre or bad reviews left, can easily be removed.

Some small attention to detail, Including - Tv reception needs checking Shower was very hot and difficult to reduce temperature. Cutting board for preparing food would be helpful and some glasses - including only 1 flute in the cupboard during the stay. Only 1 chair out the front of the property but not sure if this had been moved to others as some lodges had 3. We noticed old food (crisps) underneath sofa.

The location was nice as were thr facilities It was nice to have an army of ducks outside in a morning next to the pond. It was quite relaxing! It was close to shops and also had the welcome booklet which included basics that needed to be known

Close to longleat. Hot tub was clean and ready for our arrival. The on-site restaurant and bar were excellent and would recommend. Although not owned by the same people as the lodges themselves. The standards are worlds apart!! Warm and dry. You have control of the heating. Ducks and views of the pond

The ‘luxury lodges’ were tired and definitely in need of a deep clean. White goods were rusty on the outside and the microwave was wonky!! No basics like toilet paper or cleaning cloths/products provided. No oven gloves or tea towels. The bathroom floor permeated water from underneath the Lino after 1 shower and felt damp and the floor actually bulged underfoot!! The word ‘luxury’ needs to be amended or the standards need vast improvement to fit!! Don’t let the four poster bed pics lull you in to high expectations!!!

Lovely lodges and great staff!

Working in the area and struggling to find accommodation we stumbled upon this site. The staff could not have helped more and have found us suitable accommodation for the last month for so. The hot tubs were an added bonus after a long day working on site. Thanks to Charlotte and Luke for all their hard work. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely location

We loved the location. Unfortunately the lodge needs refurbishing. The bed was incredibly! Uncomfortable. We understand that the owner is starting to update all the lodges. Would have liked the price to reflect that it wasn’t up to standard. However we had a lovely time & will definitely stay again.
