Traditional cosy hotel garni, which has great value for money.

Good location, 5-7 minutes walk from Weissbad station. There is no grocery shop in this small village so better to buy food before you come. Staffs are all friendly and kind and breakfast is wonderful, because a bakery shop is inside the hotel and you can buy sweets in the evening, too. The room is simple but practical and cleaned every day. Shower looks new and hot water comes anytime. They kept my rucksack after check out. I enjoyed my stay and would like to stay again, thank you! From 3 overnights in this hotel you can get Appenzell holiday card, which includes all public transport, 3 mountain cable cars, entry of many museums and sports facility etc… very generous offer!

The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was quite weak at times.

Very nice, spacious, clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even when my travel plans changed somewhat due to the weather, the owner was nothing but friendly and helpful. Maximum number of stars!

love my stay. I believe host lady is very helpful speaking little English. The room is super clean and the bathroom is very new. I have a great shower. There is no TV but you won’t need it with an Alpstein window view. Location is good, in 10 mins by train you can reach the cable car station to Aescher.

Wir erlebten Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und Aufmerksamkeit vom Personals, wodurch wir uns während unseres Aufenthalts willkommen und geschätzt fühlten. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und sehr lecker.

Sehr feines Frühstück. Alles frisch und grosse Auswahl. Sehr saubere Zimmer, insbesondere auch Nasszelle. Äusserst nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Das Zimmer zeigte gegen die Strasse, welche doch sehr befahren ist; ausser nachts.

Eine sehr saubere Unterkunft und eine freundliche Gastgeberin. Das "Bäcker Frühstück" ist frisch aus der Backstube. Der Tipp: Mandel- oder Nussstangen für zum Znüni oder Z Vieri mitnehmen. Die sind sehr lecker.
