Everything was lovely! The hostel is gorgeous and instantly makes you feel at home. Manuela, the owner, was also incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay. If we ever come back to Appenzell, we already know where we’ll be staying! ☺️

Because of some coordinating problem, we got our hostel room upgrade to Boutique Pension. It was nice, elegant and clean. The common place was tidy, lovely and well equipped. The zimmer 3 was spacious and the atmosphere was pleasant. I enjoyed the view from the window. I really like that we can deposit the luggage before check-in and after check-out.
The soundproof was not so good as you could hear people walking around or maybe easily disturb others. The exhaust fan in the bath room was automatically on when the light was on, which was a bit annoying because it did not stop when we went to sleep.
