Overall a great place to stay! It was almost perfect and I would definitely recommend.

Location was great and the room was spacious and clean. The bathrooms are shared, but there are three to choose from, so I never was waiting to use it. The kitchen is a huge bonus with every amenity you could ever need!

Our room was at ground/basement level with a window that faced the street traffic right next to the house. This made it too loud to leave the window cracked at night. The bed only has one pillow per person, and I felt that two pillows would have been more comfortable. The bathrooms are down the hall, so if you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night, the motion detecting lights turn on and nearly blind you.

Amazing place to stay, reasonable, clean, close to city center.

There was a complete kitchen with every appliance, tool, pot, pan, utensil and dish. Would highly recommend to anyone! This was our first place we stayed while in Switzerland which "set the bar high" for other hostels.

The host has provided us with free coffee. The weather was hot. At our request, the host has immediately bought a ventilator for our room. The hostel was so close to the center of the village. So it was very convenient to eat, shop and visit the surroundings.

My room was on the ground floor so close to the main road so it was a little bit noisy and it was not possible to open the window all the time.

recommend for stays here after a heavy sking or hiking in Appenzell area

I recommend you to choose this hostel for your stays in Appenzell area, which has a real feeling to live here as in a hotel (even more). - near to the downtown and 3-5 min by feet to take a dinner. - 20m away is a bread house which can easily take a breakfest and coffee and tee in hostel is free too. - fresh, clean and modern decoration in rooms and WCs and Bads. - parking is also fine and prepared for drivers.

just a small suggestion is that the pillow is too soft, which can be some better and other staffs can reach a Perfect.

Vi var på väg till Wasserauen för att vandra och rummet funkade bra för en natt på väg.

Rummet var rent och tyst och sängarna bekväma.

Vi ville kunna lämna väskorna på hotellet men eftersom det var obemannad så gick det inte. Önskar att det hade varit galgar så att vi kunde hängt upp kläder. Det fanns eluttag bredvid två av sängarna men det hade varit bra om alla kunde lada telefonerna under natten. Det var svårt att förstå hur kaffemaskinen fungerade.

Sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Sehr toll, dass es Kaffee, Tee, Confiture usw. in der Küche zur Verfügung hat.

Bett war etwas weich und die Kissen etwas dünn. Steckdose in Bettnähe wäre premium.

Mycket fin hostel.

Rent och snyggt, mycket bra säng och perfekt läge nästa station, restauranger och affärer.

Det var lite varmt i rummen, det fanns fläkt men det var inte tillräcklig.

Das erste mal in einem Hostel

Zentral gelegene Unterkunft, urig eingerichtet, man fühlt sich in Groẞmutters Zeit zurück gesetzt aber mit sehr modernen Blickfängen kombiniert. Sehr sauber und alles da was man braucht. Was cool war, wir hatten das ganze Hostel für uns 2 alleine.

Leider sehr hellhörig, Pension / Apartment über uns, hatte eventuell einen oder zwei Elefanten mit.

Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Self-Chekin hat super funktioniert

Dies ist ein sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus. Sehr sauber. Genug Platz zum Verweilen. Moderne Küche steht zur Verfügung Sogar eine Sauna steht zur Verfügung.

Die Unterkunft liegt an der Strasse, zum Teil etwas lauter. In der Nacht war es aber relativ ruhig.

Tudo estava muito bom! A acomodação é incrível, super fofa e muito bem organizada e limpa! Eles tem tudo na cozinha, muito bem equipada e super perto de tudo!

Situé à deux minutes à pied du centre ville historique. À recommander absolument pour au moins trois nuits afin profiter de la Appezeller holiday card.
