We had a fabulously relaxing four days in a stunningly beautiful setting.

The design of the property is thoughtful and is full of details done by artisans on staff. All staff were exceptionally helpful and willing to share their knowledge of the area. The view is spectacular, the breakfasts delicious, and the town is an interesting working fishing village. We would definitely return. Of note is that this is not the place for people with mobility issues.

A beautiful oasis in a stunning location

The hotel is beautifully located on the cliffs above the picturesque cove of Puerto Ángel. The grounds are stunning and a perfect place to relax and savour the ocean breezes. The attention to artistic detail is amazing - it’s a truly unique environment. The staff were all very warm and helpful in every way.

It was the perfect hotel experience for our honeymoon and we will definitely return.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We loved the location - the views from the room were incredible and the town was quiet, and not super touristy which was way at we wanted. The hotel room was amazing and we can’t wait to come back. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful - but don’t look for too long.

Breakfast + balcony view are the highlights of this place. The A/C works wonderfully, room itself (indoors) was the most amazing I’ve seen. So many details/ works of art all over.

This place « looks » amazing but it’s a facade which has already started falling apart whilst the whole project is not even completed. It’s slowly disintegrating since NO ONE seems to be doing maintenance on the beautiful works of art all around. Bird feces, pool filled with debris, hot tub empty of water, outdoor bathtub jets full of black grime, construction zones without workers all over, broken statues/seashells chairs/tubs. For the kind of establishment presented, it REALLY needs to provide quicker/ more services too - it took over an hour to receive the 4 drinks we were offered upon arrival (which we got charged for a random - expensive amount - but were never presented a menu for). We woke up early (7h30 AM) and we were told it was not possible to get coffee in the morning (breakfast starts at 9 AM - wth, it’s filter coffee ?!) I think the people in place do « their best » , but the owner needs to step his game up, stop being so cheap and hire enough people in order to keep charging over 300USD/night. The view is amazing and if you look fast it’s fine, but given the fact there were MAXIMUM 10 clients in the hotel, I would have expected wayyyyy more of an experience. In each of our « amazing » pictures you can see something gross or broken in the background. Do better.

Superb

The hotel itself is unreal! It stands out as one of the most unique and stunning we've ever been too! Staff (Alfredo in particular) were great. They were very helpful and accomodating. Having our own private balcony with a bed and hot tub was amazing, with such beautiful views (we saw a whale go past one morning). We'd love to come back. Alfredo also helped us organise taxis which were reasonably priced.

if anything, this place is a must visit for the view. the details fit out is more like Greece islands than a fishing village!

weirdly, there was no doona cover. we don’t mind waking, but if you do it’s a big hill to the beach.

Pleasant

Breakfast and location of breakfast was fantastic. The view is incredible. I cannot remember the exact time but it started quite late, we had to wait for the breakfast to be served, perhaps 9am but we are early risers.

The views over the beach and bay are amazing. Half of the hotel however seems unfinished and similar to a building site. Everything was clean, the rooms were kept very neatly but the whole place seemed half done.

Amazing one of a kind hotel.

Pasion de Luna is gorgeous one of a kind hotel where all rooms have a sea view and every part of the hotel is hand made with sea shells, branches, stones, etc. It's gorgeous, the rooms are huge, terraces in the rooms are enormous with jacuzzi and views. Common spaces are gorgeous and staff super helpful.

The location is super remote. Gorgeous views and beautiful weather. Would of liked more access to food, hotel stops cooking at 4pm and the town is snoozy seemed like all things closed earlier. Hotel is up high and it can be intimidating to walk down at night to try to get dinner. If the hotel had dinner service and a bar it would make it worth going back. Very hard to find staff after 6pm.

Highly recommended! It’s beautiful and memorable

The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. Ana, was so adorable and made the most amazing food. The view!! wow!

It’s expected, but there where quite a few small insects such as ants and nats in the room, and unfortunately the bed. I dusted them off before the wife saw lol. Unfortunately no direct access to the beach and the dirt driveway up to the property was pretty bad.

Better than you could imagine

The view is AMAZING. I have a million photos of it on my phone now. The hotel is absolutely stunning, set up on a hill to overlook the entire bay. The hotel has such unique and artistic architecture it made staying here even better. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. 100x better in real life. The staff was also SO SO nice and helpful. They attended to our every need. We felt spoiled!! We loved making day trips to nearby hot spots like zipolite or mazunte, but enjoyed being further away in the tranquil spot of puerto angel.

Our room overlooked the bay and beaches. Very clean, came with a hammock and a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. We are vegetarian, the chef happily customized the included breakfast for us which was nice. If we needed anything, front desk was able to get it to us pretty quick, taxis, towels, water, recommendations. Thanks so much!

please avoid if you are travelling for work

I have been asking for an invoice since the day I paid for the christmas dinner (16th of December 2021). I’m talking to Alfredo on Whatsapp and he never gave me the invoice. Now he told me It’s too late because we are in 2022… I just don’t undersand how it could be so complicated ? I just need an invoice for my company… I’m tired to write to the hotel everyday without any news. That’s not professional.

Room was excellent, view was perfect, comfort in the room was fab. Breakfast was very good. We were a bit surprised that dinner was not available a the hotel but once we knew that we made other arrangements during our stay.

A somewhat over-priced but wonderfully kitsch Hotel in a superb location

Essentially, we had a great time here during our one night stay. A perfect location with a stunning view over the bay. Bedroom and balcony, indeed the whole hotel wonderfully kitsch. However, it has a long way to go before it can really claim to be a 5* Hotel. Staff hanging around reception eating their lunch, indeed pretty well always hanging around instead of sweeping/cleaning paths and common areas (large dog poo found on one of them which was still there the next day. No immediate offer to help with luggage, only when asked. Mould on jets inside the pool. To eat on the beach, go to La Bamba, which is furthest one in the line. Don't go to Suzy's even if the Concierge recommends it!

Cleanliness, Staff Assistance. Also, be aware that the walk down to the beach takes a good 10+ minutes and not comfortable if walking back up in the heat of the day.

Beautiful property views and breakfast

Everything. A unique experience. The views and natural hot tub on the terrace were just what we needed. Service is great. Alfredo takes care of all your questions and really helps out with transportation. The morning breakfast is just fantastic. The kitchen staff works hard and the food is wonderful.

Beautiful views in an amazingly designed hotel

the property is located on a cliff overlooking the sea. Even though there may be more stairs than usual, the privacy of each room is worth it. There are beautiful little details like ceilings adorned by shells, ornaments, colorful cushions and (sometimes loud) waterfall, incorporating architectural details from around the world (Mexican, south Asian, Greek and Arabic). The view from the large terrace is priceless. The breakfasts are delicious and we enjoyed them tremendously. We had dinner for my husband’s birthday at the hotel restaurant and the staff made a lot of effort; nevertheless it is fair to say that the quality of breakfasts is higher. . If you want to take a whale watching trip which is well worth it, the boats leave conveniently from the beach close to the hotel.

While the views are stunning,the access road to the hotel is a dirt road which easily becomes muddy because there is water coming from various into the road. it is the only way to get to the Pantheon beach - walking through the dirt road and then a fairly busy road. Having said that, if you have the opportunity, visit other beaches such as Mazunte or Zipolite that are larger and the boat traffic is not as heavy as in the beaches of Puerto Angel. I also believe that more resources should be allocated to training the staff which can sometimes be overwhelmed.

excellent location on a high bluff above the pacific ocean, amazing views. big room, extremely friendly and accomodating staff in a small hotel. excellent food for breakfast and lunch and dinner at the restaurant. the people who work at the hotel are there to help you and to accmodate you, extremely rare to find in a mexican hotel. this is a small people friendly hotel with amazing views on a high cliff above the bay. from the balcony, you can see the entire bay and way beyond.

the design of the hotel is a marine theme. there is a little bit too much of that. this is somebody's very particular taste that might not be liked by most people. but, all the advantages outweigh this one quirk.
