Clean
The noise - walls were vibrating with pounding music both nights. It was torchure trying to sleep. I’m exhausted after two nights stay

Location was good with an outstanding view.
Room was dirty, a lack of investment in maintaining the property and a reception (particularly the male staff) who were at best disinterested (perhaps that was just resignation as the owners appear to have given up). Oh and I almost forgot to mention the regular smell of sewage.

Clean beautiful view. Incredible staff. Best staff service I have ever had in a boutique Hotel

Beach location is good, but the hotel room layout is poorly planned and dangerous.
During my last night at the hotel, I slipped, fell, and slid while walking out of the bedroom hotel shower, severely injuring and dislocating my knee because of poor hotel room design. It was night two of a four-night stay in Zipolite and it entirely ruined the remainder of what would have otherwise been a great and memorable trip.
Because the hotel does not have 24-hour reception, I had to wait to discuss this with hotel staff during my morning check-out. I showed them my bandaged knee swollen to the size of a melon and explained to them (in fluent Spanish) exactly what happened. Even thought they saw me limping as I walked to reception, I was met with empty stares from both receptionists who genuinely exhibited no care whatsoever. One of them said, "Okay, so you are just dropping off the key?" Hope this is enough to deter anyone who considers important how a hotel handles medical emergencies, especially when these are the result of amateur hotel room layouts.
For the amount of money this hotel charges per night, I expected guest services to at least offer information on where I could seek medical help, but not even that. Surprisingly, I received greater care and empathy from the Zipolite hotel where I stayed at next. No one expects to become injured while on vacation, much less because of an overly priced hotel's negligent standards. Based on my experience, there are lower priced hotels nearby that offer superior customer service and room layouts where my injury would have never happened.
I have to admit that it is a visually appealing hotel, but if a 35 year old can end up with an injury like my own (my primary care doctor just referred me to meet with an orthopedic doctor and requested a knee MRI), then I have to express caution to anyone who is in their 50s and 60s. I don't see how anyone in their 60's would avoid a hip fracture with the type of painful fall that I experienced in the hotel room.
I hope this review is of help.

Location was very nice
The running water for our room kept turning off, no running water for the shower, sink & toilet.

Loved the ocean and beach setting. The sound of the surf while enjoying the delicious food on the beach front patio was amazing!

My stay at this property was a mixed bag. Zipolite is an amazing and beautiful beachside community with wonderful, charming and lovely people. Unfortunately, they are not at this hotel. The only thing I liked about this property is that it was situated on the beach.
Primarily, the staff and the management of the staff is what I didn’t like. There are so many staff members on this property, but it doesn’t seem like anyone’s actually running it. They do not interact with the guests at all. When I woke up every morning and there was no greeting. There was no offer for coffee, they barely even looked at me. They just go about their day doing their work and ignoring the guests while music blares through the speakers over the small and dirty pool at the very front of the property. The music is very loud and thumping, and it goes from 2 o’clock in the afternoon until anywhere from 8 to 10 PM. It’s obnoxiously louder than any other property on the beach. When I brought it up with the staff, I was told “this is a hotel and beach club“. But from what I could see, the emphasis is on club and not hotel.
When I first arrived, my room assignment was right behind the working kitchen, which is about 20 feet from the area where the music is really loud so I asked if I could move to a different room. After some attitude, I was given a different room this time just next to the maintenance area where I was awoken every morning by the sound of banging and power tools as they were doing construction all over the property. Often times the workers would be speaking or yelling quite loudly to each other across the property while guests were trying to enjoy their vacation and relax. I had to go elsewhere to do so.

The bed was really comfortable, the shower products provided are very good, and the towels were very good as well. The location of the hotel was very nice, and the pools are great also. Drinks at the restaurant are great. The staff also let us check in a bit earlier, which was amazing for us.
The music at the beach club was too loud even when the hotel was empty during weekdays. On the weekend (saturday) the music stopped very late. There is no separation between the toilet and the room, so it can get a bit awkward using it when you are sharing a room. The taxi prices the hotel staff shared with us from the hotel to the airport was outdated, so it was a bit of a problem because we had reserved a different amount of cash.

The hotel infrastructure is very good.
The hotel has "Day Use Pass", meaning that for attract people, they have DJ and loud music everyday. This is not mentioned in the website or booking.com. If you are looking for a peaceful and calm place, this is NOT the one.

Great room, great comfortable big bed. Great location on the beach.
However…. I did not like my stay for the following reasons:
The hotel totally misses the Zipolite vibe. A loud beach club hotel doesn’t match the free spirit feeling. Get those fully dressed influencers (the bad kind) taking photos out please. They are not there to enjoy.
Next. Staff couldn’t care less. Not a single hi or bye. Reception was cold. They saw me struggling with suitcases - they just watched. Check out: same. Not a thank you, not a did you enjoy your stay. Do you need a taxi? Nothing.
Next. Despite the hotel being empty, I asked for some flexibility with my booking as I had issues with my flights. They bluntly refused. If the hotel is full: ok. If the hotel is empty: not ok.
WiFi: not working throughout my stay. Technical issues can happen, but don’t lie about it.
First they said it was village-wide. It wasn’t. All the places around had internet. Then suddenly it was a coconut that crushed the antenna. Whatever.
If you come Zipolite - accept the Zipolite way.
Don’t spend triple the money on some loud, I dare to say fake, place that only cares about your money.

We had a great experience overall. The room sizes were larger than we expected, and a great price for a room overlooking the beach. The pools were lovely to relax in, especially the beach side pool. The bar and restaurant staff were great and very attentive. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The music at the bar was not too loud and created a chill pop-fueled vibe.
The only issue with the facilities was that some of the rooms were still mid-construction. Our balcony was not finished, so we were walking on plywood. Hopefully those renovations will be complete soon.

We loved the big, beautiful junior suite with ocean view. The room was clean, the bed was king sized and comfortable. The sound of the waves was magical. There are 2 pools. The staff were all helpful and friendly. If you get up early, 7am, you can go down and pick out your beach chairs for the day. We ate at the restaurant once, and it was good. Price was a little higher than many of the more rustic beach restaurants that lined the entire mile of ocean front.
We found the music to be way too loud, it started early afternoon. And I mean, loud. Thumping electronic and dance type music. Which I'm ok with, but seriously loud. It was Semana Santa the week prior to Easter Sunday which is a party week. On easter Sunday the music stopped. Otherwise it was even super loud in our room, but only til 10pm,which was nice. The electricity went off several times during our stay, which caused some inconvenience. It was out for a few hours one day. This caused the room to get quite warm. The water went out several times as well. The maintenance folks worked hard to get services back. But we never knew if we would have hot water, and some days we didn't have it all day. The room door intermittently stuck and was extremely hard to open, seemed like the key would possibly break off. Then it would be fine, then bad again. These are all minor inconveniences. Also the dogs on the beach. There are so many stray dogs, and people bring lots of dogs, they run all over the beach, they are constantly barking, even at night. We even had some dogs start a skirmish right next to our dinner table at The alquimista restaurant, causing me to be quite nervous, as I've been attacked by a dog. There is dog poop all over on the beach as well. These dogs have nothing to do with the hotel but folks should be ready for them.

The view was amazing and the property is gorgeous. We had delicious food at the restaurant and the staff were eager to make our stay as fantastic as possible.
I don't really have any complaints. I was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

Location of hotel is very nice. The rooms are nicely appointed. Pool area is clean , well kept.
Bar area is well kept, clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Very good service
The one thing having stayed at NUDE on several occasions, is the loud DJ music all afternoon on the patio. It blares across the small pool and patio area. It's challenging to have a conversation or feel relaxed with the electronic music blaring at a decibel level fit for a night club. The music is nice to have , but not at the level being played. It's tiring within 30 minutes.

The place is beautiful, not many rooms, attentive-professional-friendly personnel, good food and breath-taking views. Got the idea?... Even that there were some spots under construction, this didn't demeritate our experience at all. We deeply enjoyed it.
nothing... I can't imagine someone complaining it about this beautiful place.
