I very much enjoyed my stay with my group at Tofukuji Samurai Machiya. I only stayed for three nights but would have gladly stayed longer. The property was very clean, organized, and well stocked. There was plenty of space and we utilized the living room space often. Not every property in the area has a comfortable shared living space and Tofukuji Samurai Machiya was very nice to have a large communal area. The host was very helpful in providing directions and answering my questions before arrival and during my stay. The facilities were up to date and easy to understand. I will confidently recommend this property to other travelers and would happily stay here again.
I am a very tall American, and some of the doorways were a little low. You get used to it after a bit, but please keep that in mind if you are tall haha.

A beautiful property in an excellent location. It was just a short walk to the station. The kitchen and living room were fantastic and warm with plenty of space to relax. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the futon mattresses were lovely and thick. The place has been decorated with care and it felt very authentic and cozy. The property was wonderful and clean. The hosts are also very friendly and efficient.

Our family of 8 people stayed here for 5 nights.The house is perfect, as shown in the pictures and description, charming, traditional and with modern comfort. It is located in a quiet place close to the Tofukuji station.
The rooms are very nice and we enjoy tatamis as well as western beds. The kitchen is well equipped and a large table for the family is available in the dining room.

Nothing it was perfect and so close to transport and eating finds.
