Central, comfortable and very friendly staff. Everything you need for an overnight stay in the city.

Location is central and underground parking available. Staff were very welcoming and very friendly. The room was spacious.

The light on the AC wasn't switching off so the blue light on the AC bothered me when I was trying to fall asleep.

Great hotel for leisure travel

Excellent location in Cape town if you want to avoid long uber drives at night and still go out. Dome rooms have fantastic view on table mountain!

Breakfast was shocking, poor quality dirty serving dishes. the hotel looked run down . dirty elements everywhre run down paint, tape over doors The noise from Kloof street saturday evening was deafening until midnight

Staff good. Hotel disapppointing

We were allocated what we think was a disabled room as the air con unit was broken on our allocated room. Huge bathroom - no shelves to put sponge bags on. Towels were outside the bathroom so had to walk round with wet feet. Bed was really hard. No area outside to sit on shade round the pool. The area with sofas shud have overhead protection from the sun this giving more outside space for bfast/meals/drinks/relaxing.

Great stay

Beautiful property with close proximity to all the nice restaurants. The breakfast offered was phenomenal with plenty options. Our room was very spacious with a good view of Table Mountain

Great Hotel

The view of Table Mountain from our bedroom was stunning. The location of the hotel was excellent with lots of lovely cafes abd shops round about . Uber to the V&A were cheap. The staff were amazing , so polite and friendly. . The hotel was spotlessly clean . The food in the hotel was really lovely and great value Loved our stay here . The bonus of the pool was excellent for rest days

Very tiny rooms, awful smell in the bathroom - issues with pipes, not only in my room with colleagues as well, rooms were not cleaned ontime, even after 2 reminders. Omelet for breakfast takes forever and they charge you for an extra bottle of water.

The shower was the only decent thing.

Aircon not working nor the fan, uncomfortable pillow and no space in the room besides on the bed, very squashed and uncomfortable especially for ZAR1,800 +/- per room - absolute rip. Staffs attitude at check in was awful. Never again will I stay there.

Noisy location, no noise insulation, aircon not working

The reception, dining and breakfast areas are impressively decorated and makes this hotel look like a high class establishment. However, once you are in the room, it is a different story.

The hotel is directly opposite Bar Splendido, which turns into a nightclub in the evenings. There is no noise insulation, so you will hear music, cars driving passed at all hours of the night. We thought we could close all the windows to reduce the noise and switch on the aircon so we could have some air in the room, but the aircon was not working. We asked for another room but that aircon was also not working. The shelf in the shower was also broken and the shower smelt like pee. Also the shower door did not seal, so the water leaked all over the floor. The hotel phone was also not working in the new room as the charger for their cordless phone was missing. On the day that we checked out, the lift was also not working so we had to take our luggage down flights of stairs. All in all, a bad experience.

I liked how centrally located the hotel was. The design of the hotel is also very modern and clean. The staff at the breakfast were so friendly and helpful and always willing to assist with any requests.

I didn't like how noisy the street is with all the fancy sports cars revving their engines and driving up and down the street like they were at the Monaco Grand Prix! Luckily I packed ear plugs otherwise you won't be able to sleep with the noise of the cars. Also it is located in quite a vibey party area so it does get quite noisy with the music from the surrounding pubs/restaurants.

Excellent hotel in a vibrant area

The staff were all amazing - so attentive & friendly. Some of the young trainees on reception were brilliant! The location is great & easy to get tp everywhere from. The breakfast was excellent & good food served at the restaurant.

I would have liked to have a swim but the pool was full of bugs & right outside the restaurant, offering no privacy.

Breakfast and the menu. Complimentary bottled water on arrival. Service staff for breakfast was great but evening waitress needs hygiene training and customer service etiquette.

Housekeeping not sweeping and mopping regularly and condiments for espresso coffee machine always a problem and not refilled daily.

The room and amenities are excellent. The staff are very welcoming . They also got me a take away brakfsst at 6:15 am. In terms of location , I felt comfortable during daylight at the main street near by. On dark hours i took an Uber to get there from another erea. I was very happy with my choice.

Highly recommend Kloof Street Hotel for Cape Town visit

The location was perfect, near restaurants and stores. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great AND we could ordered from the breakfast menu if we’d like. All included with the room. Even though it was too cold to use the pool, we could tell it was a nice place to relax and enjoy the view of Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.

The room could be slightly bigger. But not a deal breaker for us.

Exceeded expectations

Hotel is new and well maintained. Staff are simply amazing! Coffee is excellent. Stay at Penthouse Suite if you get a chance - it’s absolutely worth it! Also you may wish to try half a day private trip to penguins and Cape of Good Hope Nat reserve - the price is higher than collective tours but the driver was super nice and professional. We also stopped for a swim on the Indian Ocean side. Talk to front desk - they’ve got me a super deal! Can’t thank the staff enough!
