A little diamond of a hotel in the heart of the best area of town

The staff were wonderful both at reception and at the bar and social The location ideal if you want to wander and discover the area. Aesthetically this hotel is a stunner

I really cannot criticize too much I would add black outs behind the curtains and I had a small issue with a preset temperature on my thermostat but honestly cannot wait to come stay again

Location was amazing. 7th floor rooftop was amazing. Every single staff member deserves 10.

AC not good. After getting the wrong room. Taxi pre booked did not turn up. In saying that the staff went all out to fix every problem. Why charge for a glass of orange juice?

Central but Noisy

The hotel is centrally located and ideal for walking to nearby areas. The room and bathroom were clean, with towels changed regularly. The room includes a small kitchenette for coffee, tea, and light cooking. The shower amenities were of good quality.

Noise from the rooftop bar was disturbing. The area felt crowded and noisy at night, with access issues due to street closures. Staff were not very attentive, and the key cards frequently stopped working, requiring repeated visits to reception.

Very beautiful hotel , friendly staff and good location.

First off, the staff were so so friendly. We dropped off our stuff before check in and they literally unpacked it into our room. The rooms are so unique and beautiful. Even though the hotel is on a busy street, we could not hear anything at all from outside. The rooms were fully equipped.

The bar upstairs was very expensive.

Grubby, dirty and run down!

Not much to like. The manager onsite was pleasant and tried his best. Breakfast was good but at an alternate property

I used to be a regular at Antrim. Was always a Pleasure, neat, tidy and clean. My most recent stay was a complete shocker! My room which faced onto the pool had the curtains taken down. This meant that anyone at the pool could see into the room. I asked the manager whether curtains had been removed and told him I was not happy staying in the room. In addition, the room was grubby the old grey fluffy rug had crumbs all over it. I asked him for a refund and said I would go stay elsewhere. He then called the manager and the solution they came up with was to put a towel up or go and remove some curtains from an other room. It was late so I said I just want a refund and I will leave. Nicole stated that firstly she couldn’t guarantee a refund and secondly that not having curtains was not an issue as no one else had complained. Definitely really good customer service. Worried I would not get a refund they then offered me an alternate room. Thinking this would be better the room was grubby, dirty and I felt that I had to keep my shoes on at all times. There as also a dirty cleaning cloth left in the shower, mould in the shower, the towel rack was broken, tiles missing off the floor in the shower and the taps were loose. The walls were dirty, carpet was dirty, damp on the walls and there was a layer of dust on the window stills. This place is not worth anything they are asking a night. What a disappointment!

We stayed for 4 nights, and the staff was funny, kind and very helpful. A great thank you to them all!

- It is situated in an area that has easy access to main roads leading to other spots in the city, and outside as well. - The neighborhood is vibrant with life: coffee shops, good restaurants, art galleries. - Nice rooftop where you can get a drink, dip in the pool when it gets hot, or just enjoy a book during the day when it’s quiet. - Very useful mini-kitchen: a big plus!

- It can get really busy and noisy particularly at night, so not always great to get the rest you wish for when you are an early bird. - For laundry services, get to an outside laundromat, it is too expensive otherwise.

Very fashionable hotel, friendly and welcoming staff, great rooms and a cool rooftop. Nice breakfasts in the restaurant downstairs. On a lovely backstreet walking distance to lots of really nice bars and restaurants.

Nice stay in the center of Cape Town

I liked the design and decoration of the room and of the rooftop and the Wes restaurant.

There was a weird smell (like sweat) when I arrived in the room and the noise of a neighbouring club was extremely loud from 6pm to 3am, even if I asked to stay in the quiet side of the building.

Very Central Comfortable Great roof top bar with a pool Excellent breakfast.

All was fine. Just a mishap givjng us a key card for the wrong room which was a bit embarrassing walking into a room of people. And can be a little noisy at night if in the lower floors with the nightlife down below at street level.

Tragicomedy with poor acting. Self-service guaranteed

Charming interior

We were greeted by a prolonged yawn of the Front Desk woman accompanied by a an expressed concern of her being along and exhausted. This warm welcome was then continued an hour later (past check-in time) only to learn that the rooms are probably clean but the housekeeper was not reachable to confirm the cleanness. Coming from hospitality word, we then had to take charge of the situation and inspect the rooms ourselves. Only after we completed the job of housekeeping, we were informed that the rooms were ready. Further to our surprise, one of the drains was cloaked leaving us wonder whether the showers were actually clean as they would fill in with water and create a pond within 2min time. In another room, the floor towel got almost black from being on the floor. No discussion neither with the Manager on Duty nor Front Desk Managed resulted in any positive compensation for the experienced discomfort. In fact, non of our concerns were part of the handover in the morning to the newly arrived Front Office Manager. He had no clue that the previous shift was not up to the standard of a boutique hotel. Additionally, while breakfast was promised to be started at 7:30, it was delayed by 30min due to fumigation the night before which we were only made aware of upon arrival to the restaurant.

Great location in the heart of CPT CBD with plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Rooms are modern and there was no noise during the evening. At the time of our visit they were building/revamping the rooftop bar so we didn't spend too much time up there even though the views are stunning.

We were hoping to check in an hour earlier which I checked with the hotel the week leading up to our stay and I was told they will keep us updated closer to the time, but nothing was communicated. One of the parties in our group arrived 45min prior to check in time, but was just told no the room isn't ready. It would have been nice if it was offered to her that she can wait at the roof top bar while they hold her luggage or something, but the receptionist seemed a bit tired and overwhelmed which is understandable after a busy weekend. Just a recommendation for future similar scenarios.

If I am to go back again, I would definitely stay at the Trade Hotel.

The front desk and the manager were really helpful and accommodating. The hotel was centrally located and easy to get around from.

The breakfast menu was limited, and the portion was small. Nevertheless, it was good.

The facility was ok. Clean and lovely decor. Absolutely loved the setup

Restaurant staff was taking time to notice patrons. Was not aware that parking is paid for. I paid for my stay way in advance and on the second day, I was locked out and the reason being that I did not pay for my stay. It was irritating going back and forth to the reception asking them to allow me into the room.

Trade Hotel was a real treat - fab vibby location in central Cape Town - room was neat and tidy and we loved the decor. The Breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient

Comfy and relaxed

I loved the apartment. It was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. I loved that it had everything that I needed and that I could make my own food and not have to eat out.

The bar across the street right outside my window with people fighting in the morning hours, with the noise only settling down after 04h00. The music didn't bother me, it was more the people that got drunk and then being rowdy and hooting at each other that was a nuisance.
