Would highly recommend, loved the place the property and the holiday 👍

The location of the property was perfect - on the Main Street in Riomaggiore and easy to find. Hosts were really helpful. Plenty of space, full kitchen and the place was spotless. We stayed 4 nights and were given a change of towels after night two. We were on the top floor and lots of steps up. That didn’t deter from the stay at all, just good to know if you’re someone who can’t manage stairs too well. I think we stayed in the best town for exploring cinque terre. We did the lovely walk (via dell’amore) to Manarola and bought the 3day cinque terre card to cover trains and trails with discount code supplied by hosts. Fabulous place and great value.

Cute apartment great location in Riomaggorie

Cute little apartment. Only just up the street from the train station tunnel entrance (helpful for carrying bags uphill). Supplied with essentials required for cooking and given teas and snacks. Good clean facility for everything you need and great location.

We loved our stay here, it was centrally located and the perfect home base for our stay in Cinque terre!

The hosts were super helpful and communicative! The apt was perfect for what we needed, a nice place to stay in between exploring cinque terre.

Great apartment and location!

The apartment pleasantly surprised us! It has plenty of space for two people and is in a good location in Riomaggiore (not too high up in the town and close to the train station). It has a lot of things that made the stay extra comfortable, such as a dishwasher, a washing machine, a few complemantary snacks, and frequent cleaning. In the street of the apartment there are many options to get breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even two small supermarkets. The host, Franchesca, was very helpful and quick to respond when we had a question.

This apartment is at the top of the building, so you have to walk some stairs to get there. But you have to be able to walk stairs in all of Cinque Terre 😉 If you want to cook, the kitchen has most basics, but very extensive cooking is not possible. The beds are not the newest, but fine for a few nights.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful part of the world

I had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation was so comfortable and in a perfect location of Riomaggiore. Francesca was a wonderful host and gave me plenty of recommendations of things to do. Although it was up 5 flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase, I knew this was the case and was prepared. I enjoyed the view and sounds of the street below, an authentic experience!

One of the most amazing places I have ever stayed in.

I cannot rate this property highly enough! The room was better than I could have imagined. The location was perfect, literally in the heart of the main street. Daniela the host provided me with so much information and suggestions and answered every question I had and more! I didn’t want to leave. My experience in Cinque Terre was made all the more special because of her. Grazie mille Daniela, you are wonderful and so is CATEO.

Great location, lovely flat, we had a perfect time there

Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was so well stocked, we could easily cook all of our meals while there, which was a big bonus

4 flights of stairs with an incredibly heavy suitcase weren’t ideal, but we knew in advance so we were prepared. I liked everything about the property to be honest

Perfect stay in the heart of Riogamorre.

Amazing location right in the middle of the town. We were allowed to leave our luggage early in the morning and were able to check in by 11:30am. The owner was lovely and replied very fast. Also gave good local recommendations. There were snacks and coffee provided which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Our only issue was the wifi connection was poor and disconnected several times. No big deal.

I already want to go back

Everything about this stay was amazing! Riomaggiore is a wonderful town, we wish we had spent more time in Cinque Terre. The location was one of the best parts about this stay. It’s right on the main road and it’s an easy walk from the train stop. Places to eat and shop right outside, and the walk to the ocean front was also quick and easy. We had the balcony room on the top floor and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved being able to hang dry everything outside on the clothing line. We were able to keep our luggage in a secure place after check out since our train didn’t leave till later in the afternoon. The hosts were wonderful and I would 100% stay here again!

This apartment is perfect if you are a couple looking to spend a few days in Riomaggiore. It is well positioned just a short ways up the main street. Be prepared to climb 4 flights of stairs to get up to it but this is to be expected staying in the area. The best part of this property however is the management. Francesca was super helpful and took us through a list of things to do and information about the local trails when we arrived. Also she helped us avoid disaster by warning us of a train strike on the day of our departure allowing us to shift plans appropriately.

the quaint little apartment had everything I needed in a perfect location. the apartment is in the Main Street, only a little way up the hill, so less climbing which you will definitely appreciate after exploring and hiking the Cinque Terre. I look forward to coming back 😊

Great for family including toddler

Fantastic stay with baby! They were able to provide a crib, and the room was still comfortable (includes kitchenette, fridge, clothesline outside window). Hosts were very responsive and helpful on whatsapp (local recommendations). They even notified us of train strikes and potential alternatives (ferry). Very convenient location. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location, wish I had time to stay a little longer!

Superb location, very easy to find and just a couple of minutes from the train station. I loved the room! Overlooking the main strip in Riomaggiore, the room felt safe and secure for a solo tranveller. Loved the cofee machine, comfy bed and clean bathroom. I was able to leave my bag for a few extra hours while I waited for the train.

Loved our stay at Cateo, a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Riomaggiore. Very clean with great facilities, including coffee machine.

We were thankfully on first level room, numerous narrow stairs for other rooms but this is expected in this area. It would just be difficult to get luggage up and down if your were not fit.

A lot of small misunderstandings regarding check-in. The host wanted us to install WhatsApp although we didn't want it. We were supposed to download video instructions, but that was unnecessary. The whole experience took us at least half an hour. The host insisted on coming to our room (during our 4 night stay) for cleaning and taking out the garbage, although we preferred to do it ourselves and notified the host about it. We'd prefer a new dishwashing sponge instead of used one.

Perfect location and the owner was beyond welcoming and accommodating.

We were originally supposed to check in at 8, but due to travel delays, we called and were allowed to check in at 9 with no issue. We also planned to stay late the next day and we’re allowed to leave our baggage there until we left much later in the day. The host was so accommodating and kind, I could not recommend this place more.

The space was comfortable and very clean. Daniela, the host, went above and beyond to make this stay wonderful! she came even over super late to bring me toothpaste because the stores were closed, and she made sure the kitchen was stocked with snacks. She also helped me with recommendations and trail information. Truly one of the best hosts I’ve met. The location was perfect and super close to everything.
