The Shoulder of Mutton

Was welcomed warmly and checked in very quickly. Was shown to my room and had everything explained. Reserved a table for dinner which was very tasty and good size proportions. Dinner service was good. I also had breakfast which was again good value. Location is central to all the towns and sights of the Peak District and also central to larger towns. Would recommend to all.

We loved our stay in Bradwell. The Shoulder is in such a pretty part of the country and the whole atmosphere and decor of the pub compliments it. We stayed in the Hare Room which was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and absolutely spotless. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were delicious! The real treasure here is the staff. Lynne and her entire team made us so welcome that it elevated the experience to another level. We've already booked again!

Genuinely nothing! Communication from Lynne before our stay was spot on. She let us know that they had an event on that night and did more than enough to make sure it didn't impact our stay negatively. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave!

Excellent food and beverage offer, staff were attentive and friendly, whole pub was clean and the local community welcoming. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday evening, booking recommended for restaurant as there aren't that many tables, the food portions were generous. Breakfast a must, infinite choice of quality well cooked ingredients.

Not much could have been better for the price point, tiny thing - car parking a bit confusing and a little tight but not difficult once you understood it.

Location in a v pleasant village.
