The Yorkshire Bridge Inn catered for hikers and cyclists with water stations outside and bike repair tools / tyre inflaters. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The pub offered good food at a reasonable price. We also found the staff welcoming and helpful.
Our room was in the attic space and as a result had Velux windows which were electrically operated. Not a problem in itself until it rained when, understandably, they automatically closed. This meant the room was hot and stuffy. A fan was provided but proved too noisy to keep on during the night.

Breakfast good Evening meal good Glass of wine at £18.00 was totally ridiculous. Bandits! Marlborough Chardonnay without charges being displayed on the menu.
Fair pricing for wine. Attentive staff. My meal was served 10 minutes after my associates meal and after I flagged the waitress down, with the excuse of: "you did not order at the same time." True, but my order immediately after as we paid separately and sat at the same table right in front of the order station. Incompetence?
