Great stay, thank you very much to the kind local team!!
Great Staff, always friendly and very helpful and charming. Great location, great views from our room. Free boat service upon arrival and departure as well as every night to go to the village.
Build quality could use an update: no real sound proofing, glass windows did not close properly etc but this didn’t disturb us much.

Strong 3 star but room for a lot of improvements
Really strong 3 star hotel! Views are incredible and you walking away with an ‘experience’ not just somewhere you stayed for the night. Disclaimer - it’s an island, you cannot be so fussy to complain about bugs incests or the occasional power outage. You are in the middle of no where and cleanliness isn’t always 110%. The hotel only has 7 rooms and when we stayed some nights only 3 guests. For us, the room was great bed comfy , 2/3 showers were hot and powerful. The hairdryer provided was strong and our wifi connection was always good. My UK GHDs worked without issue along with all our charging needs. The tv in room was smart with YouTube and apps available. Room wasn’t large enough to unpack properly and no full length mirror. Fridge in the room is best we ever had super cold but you have to stock it there is no vending machine, water available or even tea or coffee so go to the shops in town before arriving for stock of everything The hotel isn’t accessible if you have low mobility I wouldn’t recommend. You can walk into town in about 10m on the mud track but it’s not a stroll it’s a hike and depending on the tide you have to paddle in water 1-2 times before reaching. Check in/ check out boat was provided free of charge but late both times despite communication then on both occasions my husband himself had to haul our luggage up & down the 6 flights of stairs then into/ off the boats on the pier etc. Boat also provided FOC for the evening albeit on time or not. Overall biggest improvement suggestion would be for the communal area and to create a hub for guests to enjoy drinks dinner breakfast. The area is unclean and staff or locals just seem to hang about there, the guest defiantly doesn’t feel priority. Cutlery is filthy and barely any drinks on offer. For breakfast there is 1 type of cheese 1 type of sliced meet some egg and rolls 1 type of granola.

Beautiful location and extremely friendly people.
The property is in a spectacular location. Close enough to Abraão (about 15mins by foot along the coast) but secluded from the main bay. Its peaceful and quiet. The hotel arranges speedboats to take you to the town from 6-10pm if you prefer not to do the trail by night. The highlight of this place are the views. All rooms have a fantastic view over the mountain range and sea. People are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.
Breakfast could be better and the room could benefit from some additional wardrobe space. However I would still recommend it.

Great stay. Great staff.
The view from the rooms. The staff. The breakfast. The homely feel of the hotel and the free transfer, both from the boat and to the town each night. The hotel overall is lovely and we would definitely come back.
The rooms could have had a bit more attention to detail. Lacked basic appliances such as a hair dryer. Would be nice to have a toilet at reception when it is too early for check in and travelled four hours to the hotel

Disappointing stay
Hotel in a peaceful location with great views from bedroom.
Had to relocate to a different hotel after 1 night due to no water supply for the remaining of our stay. Lack of privacy on the bottom bedroom as the public island walkway is directly infront of the room and an unlocked gate to the communal area. Very small room so unable to unpack belongs or have little space for luggage. Amenities very poor for an expensive hotel. Communication with staff slow. Boat to the harbour very sporadic and late.

Incredible stay
Everything. Breakfast was amazing , homemade and with fresh food. The view of the room is incredible , the private terrasse is stunning. I liked to be a bit far away from the village and have a small walk of 15 min to go to the village. The staff is lovely, always there to help you with anything.
