I will not be coming back to this hotel

The view is actually nice and it is close to the sea.

The whole property looks run down and dirty in my opinion. The room is a bit bleak and does not give a comforting feeling. Sofa and the whole room furniture is worn-out. The rooms had a view on the sea and restaurant - unfortunately the main restaurant is using big power engines which are super loud in the night. The biggest disappointment was the pool area - the pool area seemed poorly maintained, with bird droppings and worn, rusty chairs. The overall impression was unhygienic, and I didn’t feel comfortable using the pool. The food at the pool restaurant was inedible and stale. Breakfast was also poor in freshness and quality. Old bread, pastries and no lactose free products. Tables and dishes were dirty and service was careless.

Great views

-Amazing pool area to relax in and drinks prices were reasonable. -Staff were helpful and let us get checked in early.

-The actual rooms themselves are very dated and in desperate need of renovation. The furniture is old and it just looks tired. -The food is the restaurant wasn't great for breakfast and dinner and dinner was quite expensive.

Subpar and under what we expected

The pool was okay

Issues with the room key - every time we went to open the door the key didn’t work. The lunch at the restaurant took over 45mins after ordering. The eggs at the breakfast buffet were usually gone and we had to wait 5-10mins until the next batch was ready. The gym equipment was super outdated and the one machine they had didn’t work. The pool towels we got were completely ripped.

Excellent location cloae to Shopping Center, front of Bay and easy quick uber rides to many beaches in the area. Staff is courteous and helpful. Food is great.

Lovely hotel right at waterfront in Angra

Lovely big apartment. Comfy bed. Reliable WiFi. Great pool. Very good breakfast and dinner choices. 5 mins walk to mall / marina bars.

Very good

The pool is amazing and faces the bay, the outdoors are just as shown in pictures. The location is OK, next to a shopping mall with a supermarket in it. It is not in the town centre, yet only a 20 min walk or 5/7 min Uber from the pier. Staff really helpful and friendly at all times. Perfect drinks by the pool. Available boat tours from the hotel.

I have coeliac disease (strong autoinmune gluten intolerance) and wrote the hotel about it beforehand. They said the would let the kitchen know (for breakfast). On the first day the kitchen manager approached our table, which was really nice and appreciated, and explained they may have cross contamination in the kitchen. She offered packed gluten free bread. I think a 4 star hotel can and should do better than just GF bread. The regular breakfast was amazing & full of options, the gluten free was limited to GF bread or the fruits that were in the same buffet that the regular stuff. We did appreciate the gluten free bread, but still believe this is something that could be improved. Angra dos Reis is small and yet does have a couple of GF bakeries, I trust this will help to evaluate options and inform the staff better. There were no gluten free options in the hotel restaurant so we couldn't dine there.

A nice weekend!

We did like the location. A beautiful area ! The breakfast is very good. The scrambled eggs were perfect cooked, the cakes really delicious. A very very good coffee . A good start for a nice day. The pool area is very nice and relaxing.

We think that the service at the pool could be Better, so we could stay there longer. We didn’t like waiting for one hour at the restaurant, for just a marguerita pizza. After that time, when we got the pizza, the dough was not baked enough. We thought that, considering that the dinner was a self service buffet, could be better just saying that was not possible to do the pizza.

I would say that the breakfast and dinner saloon chairs need a little love. It will make the whole space look renovated.

The location is very good. Close to the city center. Also a good view from the pool.

It was under construction so a lot noise. I did no like the fact that the breakfast saloon was too crowed. They should have a limited about of people at times.
