Clean and beautiful. We loved the outdoor beauty and the native flora. The staff was lovely and kept out of the way when needed.
The road to the property needs repairs. Some Grab drivers refused to go up all the way because of some of the potholes.
The cost of the villas laundry services were outrageous compared to dropping it off to a walkable laundry services. Huge markup and we did not even request a fast turnaround.

This property is Dreamy! Kind, helpful staff, great location, lush jungle garden, one with nature at every turn! Beautiful pool! Delicious breakfast! Fresh clean laundry! The rooms attention to art in every detail and built in drinking water stupendous! We loved it so much we booked again at the end of our stay in Ubud!

We stayed at this beautiful accommodation for 10 days in December and had a wonderful experience.
The location is about a 10-minute walk from Ubud’s main street, which allowed us to stay close to the center while enjoying a quiet and peaceful environment.
There are five joglo-style cottages, all adults-only, ensuring a calm and relaxing stay. The surrounding nature is amazing, we loved listening to the frogs and geckos in the evenings. Regular pest control is carried out, and we did not encounter any insects in the room, which was a big advantage.
Breakfast was decent, with a few options to choose from daily, and could be enjoyed either on the private terrace or in the dining area. The pool area is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, plants, trees, and flowers. The room also had a filtered water tap, making tap water safe to drink, which was very convenient.
The reception staff were extremely kind, helpful, and friendly, and they assisted us with our luggage during check-in and check-out.
There was very limited space to hang and dry towels in the bathroom (e.g. no place for hand towels), which was uncomfortable and could be easily improved.

Nestled in a beautiful little jungle ravine - beautiful traditional rooms with gorgeous exterior works of art.
Dedek and Yana were lovely and super accommodating.
We were offered complimentary drinks and a discount of additional nights. The breakfast included for a tiny additional price was really good.
The room was great - the bathroom especially, with a filtered water tap to reduce plastic waste and keep us hydrated. They seem to care about sustainability which is good!
The fish in the channels around each room was a nice touch especially with the fish food.

I absolutely loved the pool, jogolo and overall experience. The staff were probably the nicest out of all of the 5 places I stayed at!
If you don’t like bugs don’t come here. Lots of bugs but .. what do you expect?!? You’re in a jungle haha.

Beautiful little cottage in a peaceful area. Bed was super comfy, bathroom was nice and had everything we needed. I loved the lush plants and flowers and enjoyed the carving details in the villa. Very Balinese style.
The road going to the cottage is very narrow and the road dead ends for cars right where the hotel entrance is. For me it’s not a problem since I had a scooter. Not much to not like about the villa.

My stay at Parvati was perfect! Really loved the balcony surrounded by so many green bushes and a pool just in front. Not loud, and at the same time close to Ubud palace and the main street of Ubud. Comfortable, clean, perfect location, very nice people working there! Dedek even received my laundry delivery while I was out of the hotel. I would definitely come back!

Parvati Retreat felt like a little oasis nestled in the jungle. We saw lizards, birds, and so many butterflies! It’s about a 10 min walk to the main street of Ubud, so while there’s no restaurant or bar on-site, there are lots of options a short walk away. The filtered drinkable water tap in the bathroom was fantastic, and the AC was top notch. Thank you Parvati!

The room was very comfortable and clean, the environment was green, the wooden Balinese interior in the room is beautiful . It is a ten-minute walk to the city center, which was very convenient. The road leading to the hotel was very narrow, and only one car could pass at a time. However, the drivers are very skilful in handling this narrow road situation 🤭

Staff were really nice, nothing was too much trouble for them :)
Property waa done in Balinese style which was very enchanting. Our Joglo King room overlook the pool which was pretty.
The aircon was very cold, and no matter what temperature we set it, it went back to very cold. Maybe need servicing or repair ?

The staff were very friendly, 24 hours available.
The facilities were splendid, having a filtered water tap in the bathroom for drinking water was a nice feature.
The location of the villas in relation to central Ubud was fantastic! Easy to get to markets, spa's and other venues.
Occasionally we could see squirrels and monkeys in the forest surrounding the villas which was nice, in the early mornings small birds in the hundreds would be having a feeding frenzy but they were silent, just nice to watch.
On the other side of the river next to this location, another property would dump trash on the hillside and burn it (common practice in bali) however, the smoke was very toxic and would fill the valley, one night the smoke would not go away and our air conditioner would pull in the toxic air, that night was our only unpleasant night. This was not in control by the venue and was our only unpleasant moment.

A beautiful small group of joglos- the room was well appointed, free mini bar, large clean bathroom & comfortable beds. The pool area is lovely, overlooking a jungle waterway.
The hotel is up a small road out of town, easy walking distance but away from the noise & chaos of town.
There are only several sun lounges & the pool does not get much sun.

The villas and location is great. Central but far enough away to be quiet at night.
The “systems” need some work. No easy way to reach reception except walking there. Not clear on additional pricing for items.

Hands down, staying at Parvati Retreat Villas was a highlight of our trip! We stayed three nights at the Joglo King Villa and absolutely loved it! The room was superb, clean, had free amenities including drinks and potable water, a stunning decor, comfy beds and overlooked the lush garden and amazing pool. We loved having breakfast at the terrace in the mornings and very much appreciated the outstanding and very attentive staff. Parvati Retreat Villas: if you can afford to splurge a bit and seek tranquility, do it here. You will not be disappointed.
Frankly, Parvati Retreat Villas was one of the best and most beautiful hotels we stayed at in Bali. The only "downside" was the location. You do have to walk up the little street quite a bit to reach it, which after a night out is not the most convenient option.. Yet, this should not keep you away from staying there. The many many pros of this place will compensate for it. Again, we loved it and I am sure you will do, too.

Such a beautiful accommodation - has everything you need with a great pool, good breakfasts and attentive staff. The room size was excellent.
It wasn’t a problem for us as we happily walked around each day, but it could be a bit far from some amenities if someone had mobility issues.

Space, decor, staff, facilities - all excellent
Fabulous location - right in the buzz of it but not on the main road. uiet, lovely pool, outdoor patio/seating area in each room is amazing, they provide a lot also - plug in mosquito repellent, fridge with drinks and beers replenished every 3 days, a fabulous breakfast too.
Not that I did not like but:
The path leading from the road to the hotel is steep/big steps - not for those with mobility issues. Same for steps up/down to the properties from reception.
If walking up the side road to the property, it is uphill in some parts - just so you are aware for hoteer days!
could do with some hooks to hang stuff on

Stunning views, perfect relaxing place to stay. Great pool, friendly staff, great service. Little hidden gem offering a perfect quiet Jungle feel. Garden is stunning. Bedroom so beautiful with lovely Bali feel. Decorative entry door is stunning. Only 10min walk to town.
Shower needed more pressure and to stand could be re-positioned, but not a deal breaker.
6.0 / 10.0
It is a lovely, quiet, and secluded area in a part of Ubud that is within walking distance (1 km) of the city center, yet still undeveloped and free from all the tourist noise and chaos.
The location on the edge of a jungle-clad gorge gives a sense of being in the middle of the jungle, with abundant bird and wildlife close by.
The *jooglos* are beautifully decorated and spaced well apart, giving the impression of having the hotel to yourself.
Unfortunately, there are quite a few things that could be improved:
The staff are kind, friendly, and eager to help, but unfortunately, their lack of even basic English is a barrier that leads to many misunderstandings and much confusion.
The cleaning and housekeeping could benefit from having checklists and fixed routines. For example, the ashtray was not emptied, and the coffee supply was not replenished. Although two people cleaned our room for 20 minutes every day, the cleaning seemed rather random, and the room gradually became dirtier as the days went by.
In general, the hotel shows clear signs of lacking maintenance. In the bathroom in *Jooglo 1*, the blinds were broken, and instead of repairing them, they were just tied up with a random piece of string. The showerhead in the large jungle shower is about to fall out of the wall. It’s only a matter of time before it happens. On the pool terrace, several of the planks are so rotten that there is an imminent risk that an average, slightly overweight European will fall through.
Breakfast is a chapter of its own. There are three options to choose from the day before, which is fine. However, the preparation and serving of the breakfast clearly indicate that it is not cooking staff who are making the food. After two days, we opted out of breakfast at the hotel. The quality and preparation were simply too poor.

I had a lovely stay at Parvati Retreat Villas. My little hut was lovely and the jungle view was amazing. The pool is clean, and since there are only five huts you get it mostly to yourself. This was a perfect solo-travel place if you're looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay surrounded by forest, but still being close to the center (I don't ride a scooter). The massage service was also lovely.
The location is very good, close to Ubud center 10min by foot, but far enough to get away from the noise of the town. By reading some previous reviews about heavy traffic and narrow road to get to hotel I was a bit sceptical, but I didn't find it a problem at all. The traffic in Bali is in general a bit all over the place. The airport transfer went smoothly.
There are some ants in the room, so if you're afraid of insects it might be a little problem. However, this might be inevitable in Bali and places like this.

The pool was lovely and cool. The villas were very beautiful. Filtered water on tap in the rooms s great bonus.
We paid for Breakfast separately. There are much better value and more delicious breakfasts available in Ubud.

The villa was amazing. Super private and relaxing. If I went to Ubud again, I’d definitely go there.
All good.

The location is amazing: secluded, far from the city buzz, with the feeling of being in nature, but still accessible.
The bedroom exceeded our expectations, very comfortable and clean. Some people mentioned noise from birds and the river, but it was a plus for me. Like a natural noise machine outside your bedroom, making you feel like you're sleeping under the stars, but with the comfort of a nice mattress and AC.
The water-filtered tap was an unexpected plus, which did make things much easier.
The breakfast is adequate, but not very varied. I'm happy with it, but I can see how some people might find it too simple, especially after staying for more than a couple of nights.

Beautiful rooms with amazing bathrooms. We hardly saw anyone else so it was like we had the place to ourselves. Air con and TV worked well and the pool was lovely after a hot, humid day. Beds were comfortable. It was a little oasis.
After a couple of days the walk to and from the main street became something we did not look forward to. It is 10-15 mins uphill on the way back. The breakfast was adequate but the same every day. The tea and coffee facilities were ordinary and the coffee was terrible - very grainy like it should be filtered. The only milk was a powdered creamer made from hydrolysed vegetable oil. I would have preferred tea/coffee facilities in my room so that it would be easier to make my own with real milk. The safe is very small and not secure inside the cupboard, and didn’t work in one of our rooms.

Amazing houses, nice bathtub (yes, a warm bath is nice even after a long hot day), tv with netflix, fine breakfast, clean room, great airco and kind staff.
Quite a “long” walk to the busy places, just a bit inconvenient but doable for sure. We thought their would be some general area where people sit/drink/meet around the pool but it’s really quiet and private. You only dip in the pool shortly and tend to go back to your house/balcony after.

Great villas, super authentic in Balinese wooden style. Feels very comfortable and it is very quiet at night with the sound of nature. Staff was very friendly as well
The location is a bit far by foot from the city center. Especially because you have to walk through some narrow street. I would recommend having a scooter / bike there. We came by car with our luggage (no choice) and the car sometimes gets stuck in the middle of the road because another car is coming on the way down while the street can only accommodate 1 car!

Even before we arrived at Parvati our host reached out to us several times to make sure we were okay for transport and anything else we needed. Customer service throughout our stay was great.
We loved the style of the villas, with their beautifully carved painted doors. Inside they were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was so luxurious. It was so nice to have our own little verandah overlooking the pool, which was really clean and inviting. Breakfast was good too. The aircon works really well and the rooms were impeccably clean.
The property is about 5 minutes walk to a main street of Ubud which has everything you would want. Spas, restaurants, Ubud Palace, boutique and market shopping. It is a tricky street to walk down to the mainstreet as it is so narrow. We found that if you turn right when you leave the property driveway, rather than left to go down the hill, the footpath/cycleway leads to a wider street with footpath that takes you down to town.
The villa is located well for day trips to the temples and rice terraces.
The narrow road to the villa is a bit tricky for walking. It is manageable but you just have to be aware of traffic. I suggest taking the alternative path (Jl. Sri Wedari) to the main street, as described in the main review.

The location was about a 10 minute walk to centre of Ubud, so it was nice and quiet where we were situated. Breakfast was included - eggs, sausages and fruit. Choice was limited but it was just fine.
Rooms nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was huge! Pool was welcome after hot days in ubud. Liked there was only 5 rooms, so very peaceful.
Would have liked a massage however these are performed on the bed in your room, which we did not want. Would have been better if they had an area with a couple of tables to use.
On our last morning we went down for breakfast and were informed that the road would be closing between 8.30am - 2pm. Our pick up was due at 8.30am so we had to skip breakfast and hurriedly pack and reorganise our driver to arrive before the closure. It would have been helpful if we could have been told about this earlier, preferably the night before. That said, maybe they dod not know.

Amazing property. The location is stunning and the villas are gorgeous and very romantic in a traditional Balinese way. Exactly like the photos - even better in fact. The breakfast was exceptional and you can even get a decent espresso here. The Sunset Bar is the perfect place to relax and take in the glorious colours of the sun setting over the vast jungle valley beneath you. Our villa had a constant soundtrack of the waterfalls - paradise!!
Nothing. It’s wonderful. There is no pool, but the climate up here is milder than the coast or Ubud so you don’t need it.

Beautiful joglos surrounded by lush greenery. Lovely pool, small property so no loud children or teens!
Our joglo looks across at a patch of rubbish pouring down the hill. That’s a bit disappointing and would be easy to fix.

The Villa's were beautiful inside and out. There are only 5 so it was very quiet.
The location although central was up a long hill which was a 15 minute walk. Also which was a little strange was there was no reception. If you needed anything you were given a what's app number to contact. If you get room 3 there will be goannas running around your roof space during the night

Villa and shower room was great and comfortable.
Lovely breakfast.
A bit hard to get there by car because road was too small.
Staff was great but it would be better if more speak slowly when explaining the villa for not English speakers.
