A peaceful stay

The view, the patio, the breakfast with focaccia ligure on the patio, the room with all the windows, the view from those windows, the wind at night, the easy parking, the fact that Everything was clean and well maintained. The landlords, a wonderful couple of two lovely, kind, discreet local people. They gave us a lot of information and they always greeted us with a smile. The position is perfect to easily visit the “golfo del tigullio”, but car is necessary!

Don’t do it.

It’s a room in the owners’ house. The only one room they rent out so it’s just you and the owners in the same building.

We are very disappointed with our stay, primarily due to the dishonesty of the owner. We had booked three days but had to cut it short due to an emergency. When we explained the situation, the owner initially pretended to be understanding and said we could request a refund through Booking.com without any problems. However, what followed was a month of lies and frustration. The owner repeatedly claimed she had processed the refund but had not. Booking.com contacted her, and she lied directly to them. Eventually, Booking.com confirmed that she refused to issue the refund. This back-and-forth caused significant stress and disappointment. The accommodation itself is misleadingly advertised as a “villa,” but it is actually a room in the owner’s building. The bathroom and toilet are separated from the bedroom only by a hanging curtain, which felt uncomfortable. The view is beautiful, but the location comes at a price: the property is at the top of a mountain with a very challenging road, especially in the dark, and local driving can be intimidating. Check google maps and the drive! While the view is nice, our primary issue is the owner’s dishonesty. Such behavior is unacceptable, and travelers should be warned. Our stay left a very bitter aftertaste, and we do not recommend this property.

Very good

The hosts were a very nice couple who were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The house was a little difficult to find as our GPS was unable to locate the exact position of the property but we eventually found it. The breakfast was great.

Parking was not actually on site but a few metres down the hill from the property.

The old couple was wonderful and super polite, I had excellent treatment. The room was big and the bed super comfortable. The location was quiet with awesome view. I would definitely like to go back and stay more days.

WiFi coverage was almost to zero. And you need transportation to reach the city with the restaurants.

Empfehlenswert

Schon die Anreise zur Villa Rocca war ein kleines Abenteuer. Das lohnt sich, man sollte allerdings Fahrpraxis mitbringen (Serpentine). Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, wie im Übrigen der ganze Aufenthalt. Der Ausblick ist grandios. Die Gastgeber haben uns wertvolle Empfehlungen für Chivra und Genua mitgegeben. Der kleine Exkurs beim italienischen Frühstück über Mozart war angenehm. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig und gut ausgestattet. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Gli oste sono due persone veramente gentili e molto disponibili, non ci sono problemi per il parcheggio, a soli 10 minuti in macchina si arriva a Chiavari. La vista il pezzo forte, si è avvolti tra montagne verdi e il panorama mozzafiato sul golfo. Camera spaziosa e molto luminosa. Lo consiglio.

Il materasso si vede che ha fatto un po di km, consiglio di cambiarlo per diventare un posto unico. Non altro da aggiungere.

Für Ruhesuchende mit Platzbedarf und sehr gute Wahl.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, extrem ruhige Lage oberhalb der Stadt, erreichbar nach ca. 6 km Kurvenfahrt. Sehr familiäre Gastgeberin, gut englisch sprechend, fast mit Familienanschluss, sehr guter öffentlicher, kostenloser PKW- Parkplatz. Schöne Aussicht auf das Meer und die Stadt. Zimmer mit Standardausstattung, kein Luxus aber alles Notwendige vorhanden. Lokalisation des einzigen Gästezimmers in einer traditionellen kleinen Villa mit Garten-Freisitz - Terasse - und viel Platz. Wesentlich bessere Alternative als Stadthotel mit Hypertourismus in der Saison. Wir waren dort in der ruhigsten Zeit: Februar/März 2022 für ca. .1 Woche

Im Februar 2022 kaltes Zimmer und vor allem sehr kaltes Bad bei Ankunft, bei Reklamation angenehme Temperatur nach 24 Stunden.
