I will try to be as objective as possible, especially given that I have awarded this property a rather low rating. Let me begin with an important clarification: this is a B&B, officially classified by the Italian authorities as a three-“margherite” property. However, the presentation on Booking.com, together with the reviews—which I read carefully before making my reservation—somehow creates the impression of a significantly higher standard. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The host is kind and pleasant, and I appreciated the fact that fresh towels were provided every day and the bed linen was changed every three days. These are certainly thoughtful details. However, they do not alter the overall standard of the accommodation. The mattress was old and noticeably sagging, while the cleanliness was merely adequate rather than impeccable. Overall, the property felt rather dated and fell short of the standard I had reasonably expected based on its presentation and previous reviews. In my opinion, the main issue is not the hospitality of the host, but rather the gap between the expectations created by the property’s presentation and the experience it actually delivers.
