We enjoyed Frank and he had prepared suggestions for food and drink. Just a little tiny for us

Location was a short walk to food and entertainment. The host was very cordial and attentive.

I sleep with a medical device and there electrical outlets were few and not close to the bedside. The bathroom was quite tiny and the sink was difficult to get warm water due to the type of faucets.

Wonderful host and comfortable room

Frank was a lovely host. We felt right at home and very comfortable. On the day of our checkout, we were going to store our luggage at the Windway House and go on a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. However, Frank and his wife had to attend to a personal matter and could not guarantee they would be there to give us back our bags (which he said has never happened before). To make it up to us, Frank drove us with our bags into town in the morning so we could avoid a long rainy walk with our suitcases. We were able to store our bags on the tour bus, so it worked out. It was a nice gesture that we appreciated greatly!

It was a lovely experience with a most charming host.

The room and house was charming. The host was so friendly and helpful. He had wonderful suggestions for sights to see and dining options. He also accommodated our travel schedules. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the center of town and the national park.

The only disappointment was the size of the bathroom, which can’t be changed. It was difficult to turn around in the bathroom, let alone wash my face, brush teeth, etc, without bumping elbows and knees. That being said, I would 100% stay there again.

A charming guest house within walking distance to town and the park.

The Windway House is an absolutely lovely little guest house in Killarney situated within walking distance to both downtown and the National Park. It is traditionally furnished with ornate paintings and photos, furniture and lighting. It was a very comfortable stay! While they are not a B&B, they do have a wonderful little dining area complete with microwave, flatware, dishware, tables and chairs. Just a lovely place! And very quiet, too!

There was nothing about the Windway House that I didn't like.

I would stay here every time I visited.

The man running the place was so kind and warm. He provided lots of recommendations for eating and visiting for us to get the most out of our stay. The other guests in the house kept to themselves (though friendly when we saw them) and we had ample privacy in our room and personal bathroom. We were near walking distance/walking distance to a bus that took us to everything we wanted to do! I would stay here every time I visited Killarney!

The shower was SO small and hard to maneuver in. I am 5'5" and built smaller and still had trouble moving around in there.

Great location for a visit to Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, and then relaxing after a busy day.

Frank the host was very gracious and personable, and provided us with information on restaurants in the area as well as points of interest on the Ring of Kerry. Quaint and homey feel to the B&B with separate dining and sitting areas. Dining had Coffee and Tea available as well as a small fridge stocked with liters of cold water. The sitting area had very comfortable chairs where we spent some time each evening reading and relaxing.

Great Stay Just Minutes from Kilkenny City Centre

We stayed at this lovely guest house over the weekend and had a fantastic experience! The location is ideal — just a few minutes walk from the city centre, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. There’s a private parking area, but it's also possible to park for free right outside, which was very convenient. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The rooms are a good size and, most importantly, very clean and well-maintained. There’s also a shared lounge and a dining area where you can enjoy breakfast with your own food. We really appreciated the glass bottles of water that were always available! Overall, I highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Kilkenny. It’s comfortable, clean, and offers great hospitality.

The facilities need updating. Bathroom small, problems flushing the toilet. Could not turn round in bathroom after shower. Water took 10 minutes to get hot!.

Good location and comfy beds

The property is in a good location in Killarney, close to the city centre but far enough away from the noise of pubs. Perfect location to visit the Ring of Kerry (either as a start or finish point) and Killarney national park. The rooms are a good size and the beds are really comfortable. Despite not offering breakfast, there are coffee facilities and there is a room with microwave etc that the guests can use.

For some reason on the day of arrival we were informed of a strict check in window of 3 hours in the afternoon. It would have been nice to know this before devising our itinerary. Just something to keep in mind, as everywhere else (including B&Bs) we were allowed to arrive whenever we wanted/could.

Good location in a quiet part of town but a short walk to all the lively pubs. Nice room and facilities, Frank was very welcoming and showed that we could use the microwave and crockery in the evening for our takeaway from Dunnes. Good selection of games in the lounge. Parking for our motorcycle in the property grounds.

No option for breakfast so walked into town for a cafe.

Great, clean, convenient place to stay!

Two of the best things about Wind-Way House are the location and the host, Frank! Frank gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to go in Killarney and beyond. You are in walking distance to lots of places. The property was very clean and quiet. There's a communal dining room with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, plenty of tableware, coffee/tea/water.

The water was slow to drain in the sink and shower, so I was always a little nervous that I'd flood the bathroom.
