The property was literally just off the A66. It was clean, tidy and the host was friendly, helpful and it felt like you were spending a few days away with family! The room had everything we needed, warm, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and very well organised. There is a form that you need to fill in before 8 in the evening so when you go down for breakfast your table is already set. The views are wonderful and about a five minute drive into Keswick. Evening meals are a good option in Braithwaite itself within a 20 minute walk. Within the property there is a lovely lounge area with books and games. Plenty of parking spaces at the back and front of the property. Dogs are allowed and welcomed.

Beautiful guest house, very clean and lovely views from our room. Small things like lovely toiletries, flask for fresh milk, daily tray bakes and fruit were a lovely touches. This guest house and the host, Kate, stood out as being knowledgeable about the area, very kind and thoughtful, we will return soon! Great location and good food from local pubs. We ate at the Royal Oak and the Coledale inn- both wonderful and walking distance.
