Divers/Snorkelers Good - Pay for the best only

For divers and snorkelers, the hotel is perfectly located to swim above a beautiful and healthy reef. It is also very accessible, as it sits right in front of the restaurant and pool.

The room didn’t meet our expectations — it was dark, old, and the toilet was in very unpleasant condition. For example, the shower wasn’t even attached to the wall. The curtains were only blackouts, and since people constantly walked in front of our room, we had no privacy and no natural light either. It’s definitely the kind of place where you’d rather not spend time in your room at all. The reception staff were very kind; however, the restaurant staff felt quite distant. The food wasn’t great, and the service was just the bare minimum — no attention to whether we needed anything else, no check-ins to see if we were okay, not even background music. Nothing.

DISAPPOINTING, and you need to upgrade to a room with air conditioning.

Great location. It was right on the water. The sound of the waves was amazing. The pool large and had a nice area for learning to dive. And the women who massages to the best we’ve had in Bali.

It was more expensive than we wanted. We booked a standard room, not realizing that it didn’t have air conditioning. It was small and sparse and old and sad, so we upgraded to a room with air conditioning. But it was also sparse and sad. There wasn’t a table next to the bed so we had to leave things on the floor, and there was one light for the room. And the bathroom wasn’t very clean and it was sparse and sad. Even though breakfast was included, the breakfast options were a pancake, toast, or noodles. I’m allergic to wheat so I was expecting to order eggs, which I did, but I had to pay for. The coffee was weak and the cups were small, and when we asked for a 2nd cups, those got added to our bill. Anything extra asked for breakfast, we got charged for it. The location was fantastic, but I think next time we would want to find somewhere else to stay because this place was too expensive for what we got. The owner was very nice, and the staff were nice too.

Clive & Peggy love staying in Paradise.

Having stayed at Paradise for 20 times over 28 years, we obviously love it. Stones throw from the ocean. Julie was always a lot of fun and laughter at breakfast.

Included breakfast was fine, but meals in the restaurant are more expensive than Mata Hari next door? It's always been like that. A revue on pricing could turn this around.

Good place to stay if you want to have a dive experience during your stay

We had one of the best experiences of our lives in Tulamben: we discovered the incredible world of diving. The owner of the place was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. He arranged everything for us: provided a scooter, helped us plan our dives with the dive school, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the property itself, we really enjoyed the pool and the beautiful beach view. The outdoor area was lovely, with a well-kept garden, and we often had the pool all to ourselves, which made it even more special. One of the biggest highlights was the location, the best dive spots are right in front of the property, making it a perfect place for divers.

Anyway, we had to leave a less-than-great review due to the condition of the rooms. When we arrived, the owner immediately asked if we wanted to upgrade from a room with no air conditioning and only cold water (the option we paid in the first place apparently) which we accepted right away, as the weather was extremely hot. Given the price we paid, we were expecting something of higher quality. Instead, we ended up in a fairly basic room, and unfortunately, the bathroom had some insects — including cockroaches. This made the stay a bit uncomfortable, as we were constantly worried about finding another “visitor” under the bed or in the bathtub. That said, this was really our only negative experience.

Did the job but the feel was a little tired.

Location for diving in Tulamben was good. Room was comfortable and seaside pool was nice.

Not sure why but no one ate at restaurant. It wasn’t great value for money compared to other places at 500k per night for aircon room.

Basic accommodation, unbeatable location

The location was unmatched for diving and watching the ocean. The pool was lovely, the food was really good, and the rooms are well arranged.

The property was a bit outdated, which in some ways we really liked, and in other ways could have used a bit of attention, but we would still stay there again as is!

Very disappointing facility in all aspects except staff attitude and location.

The location was good, in this mecca for divers and snorklers. Staff was very friendly.

We were NOT given the room that was pictured on the net, but an older one in mediocre condition. Bedside reading light blown out, no mosquito netting, holes in window screen stuffed with toilet paper by previous guest ... manager responded to this report by saying "Oh there was a guest in there a day or two ago; he must have done it"... The fact that no one noticed this is indicative. The 'shower' was a flexible hose attached to the bath faucet, but it would only reach to mid-chest, so one had to sit in the tub to shower. The tub was deep and narrow, with nothing to grip when getting out, so getting out was VERY difficult; it took me, a senior, several frustrating minutes. The only bath amenities supplies were a couple of tiny bars of soap. I was told that there was a safe, but discovered after searching that it was a locking wooden cabinet. "Breakfast included" was a choice of pineapple of banana pancake. That was it. We were told that the place was being renovated. I hope that they make SUBSTANTIAL improvement.

ゆっくり過ごしたい方、シュノーケリングの人に良い！

プールがついていて、静かでゆっくりできるところが良かった。朝夜も静かでくつろぐことができた。サンライズがとっても綺麗で、風も心地よかった！

アメニティが、石鹸のみ。シャンプーやコンディショナー、がないので持ち込みが必須。ドライヤーやテレビもなし。書いてあれば準備できたなぁと思った。

Super fint til prisen. God service.

Servicen var i top. Dejlig tæt på vandet og hvis man kender nogle der snorkler eller skal lære at dykke kan man sidde på restauranten ved poolen og kigge. Pede, værten/leder, var god til at hjælpe med chauffør, dykkercenter og rigtig venlig.

Det er ganske fint til prisen. Lidt slidt på værelserne og ingen daglig rengøring. Menukortet i restauranten er ikke super inspirerende og portionerne er lidt små. Men ellers rigtig fint.

Établissement vieillissant mal, aucuns efforts de restauration, tout est vieux voire vétuste, les meuble, les peintures décrépies, les papiers peints décollés… donné aucunes envie d’y séjourner.

Herrlicher Platz direkt am Meer

Wunderbar am Meer gelegen. Sehr bald tauften wir es um auf Paralys☺️ Zimmerservice, Handtücher, mal auf der Terasse zusammenwischen und Reinigung des (sehr tollen) Pools ließen zu wünschen übrig. Wird aber nach Aufforderung erledigt. Wir würden wieder kommen.
