Half board dinner; the staff is unable to explain the dish although the portion is big and value for money.

We stayed here for one night to decompress and rest mid our trip. The staff was super polite and going above and beyond. The highlight was definitely the food (both dinner and breakfast were delicious) and the private onsen in the room overlooking the lake. Our room was extra spacious. The yukatas provided were fun and a nice touch. We also used the shuttle service to the train station which was extremely convenient.

Highly recommend the Yumotokan onsen hotel. Lived in Japan prior for many years and this trip visited my wife’s family again. The facilities, cleanliness, rooms, onsen’s, amazing and awesome staff, restaurant, gift shop, and overall Japanese traditional experience makes you feel at peace, rejuvenated, relaxed and rested. The Kaiseki traditional Japanese multi-course fine dining experience for three days at the hotel was amazing full of mouthwatering flavors. A must visit place, definitely recommend in all areas.
