A clean, small hotel in the centre of Cologne.

The location in the centre of Cologne was perfect and the room was small but very clean. The breakfast was very good for a small hotel with plenty of variety.

No parking but we were aware before booking.

This hotel was located in the perfect place IF you're visiting the Christmas Markets. It had one market a 1/2 block away and another right around the corner. It was a 3 minute walk to the cathedral and there were parking structures close by.

Great hotel, well located and clean!

Excellent location! Central to a lot of the Christmas Markets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was bigger than expected which was nice!

The bed is a little hard and the pillows were really soft.

Perfect location

Fantastic location for Christmas markets. We even walked from Messe/Deutz since central station was closed while we were there. It’s wonderful to have a three bed option in one room, just be cautious in certain areas of the room not to bump your noggin. Having a window to open in the room was a treat! Front desk reception was able to help with several questions. Cheers!

Good location not sure I would stay again.

I liked how close it was to shopping, cathedrals and the train station

I’m only 5’4” and I had to sit on the toilet at a diagonal so I wouldn’t hit the wall. They also turned the AC off so you have to open the window to cool the room and I woke up with mosquito bites all over me.

Very good city centre hotwl

This is a great city centre hotel for people (like us) staying for a couple of nights. It is in the centre of the city, very easy to walk to the main train station, the cathedral and all amenities. A really nice touch is that you are given vouchers for a free beer at the Sion brewery. The downside is that being in the centre of the city, it can get a bit noisy - night club, building work, church bells! - but you have got to accept this for the location. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was that there was hair left in the shower either from previous guest or chambermaid. Having said that, we would definitely stay there again.

Great location, small, but comfortable, friendly staff and great breakfast. The two free beers at the Sion Brewer were a nice bonus !

Good for a short stay

This is a good, budget hotel for a short stay. The room we stayed in was tiny but given the location, it's definitely value for money!

The room we stayed in was small, which made it a little awkward to move about (for 2 adults). However, given we only stayed the 1 night, it was manageable. Also noting the location and value for money, it's still a great grab for a short stay. This is more as an FYI to help others be prepared. The bistro/restaurant adjoined to the hotel (Brauhaus Sion) really needs to improve its customer service, particularly given its attached to the hotel. The staff could benefit from some training on being a little friendly and welcoming .

Good. But wasn’t good enough to rush back

Good room which was clean and tidy. Good value for money

Was noisy at night due to bar downstairs. Also I checked my bags in and staff member wouldn’t let me get changed out of travel clothes. Bizarre so spent 6 hours walking around in travel sweats

Managed to get a room late at night as we had to move from the terrible Smarty Hotel. Room had AC and was quiet so we manged to get a nights sleep

Lovely stay in Cologne

Very central, clean and comfortable. Rooms are small but we were out sightseeing all day so this was not an issue for us.

Walls were quite thin and so could hear next door a lot.

Amazing value for money

We were placed in a lovely big room with a sofa and a nice view. Very close to the train station. I had asked for extra pillows and they were there. Staff was friendly. Cleanliness was ok too. Overall a great experience, especially for the price.

The toilet space was very small and slightly uncomfortable and the bathroom door was see through which dooesn't make for a great view as other people can see you using the toilet. Apart from that everything was great.

Enjoyable, would stay here again but the breakfast needs improvement for the price.

We liked the free minibar fill, along with the window being able to be opened all the way. We also liked the fact that check in was easy and the hotel was open for us to come and go as necessary.

Breakfast was very short on vegan options and nothing was clearly labelled as such which makes it difficult for those of us with dietary restrictions.

Very good, but a bit expensive for what is offered

The staff - EXCELLENT! The Psychology student working during the night helped me when I arrived late at night distressed, top guy. And all the other staff was great too! Close to the station and literally in the middle of everything, close to the river as well.

Not quite the value for the money, but maybe I don’t appreciate how central is.

I enjoy my stay greatly.

The location was excellent and very convenient. Additionally, the room was very comfortable and everyone got their own bed, and the free drinks were very good. The staff was also very friendly.

There was construction across the hotel which woke us up early. Also the hanging beam lead to my friend banging his head on it often; however, that was largely his fault for being careless.
