Clean, large room near the train station

The room was large and there was plenty of space. The room and bathroom were clean. The air conditioning was good too which was very much needed as it was so hot when we visited Bologna. There was a small fridge in the bathroom which was handy as we stored a couple of bits for breakfast in there. The room was super close to the train station and we were able to check in early which was really helpful. The room was a 20 min walk into town but all of the way was under the cover of the porticos which made it a lot easier in the heat.

It seemed a bit expensive for the basic room with additional city tax, which was a lot more than in other places we stayed, but perhaps that is just the price of accommodation and tax in Bologna.

Barely 3 mins from Bologna Centrale Station. The host was quick to rectify certain issues I raised regarding my room.

Adequate apartment good location.

The breakfast was very bad value. What we paid extra for breakfast was a lot more than it would have cost us to buy in the cafe that they gave us the tokens for.

The shower head would not stay in its holder so found it very hard to shower and hold it at the same time. There was a safe but it didn’t work and I messaged Elena when we arrived but got no response.

Wonderful place close to the city center

It is a standard experience. I did not see the management, but this seems to be the default these days. The entry to the property was described in easily understandable instructions. The flat was clean and had all the amenities. Overall excellent stay even if it was for a night.

Warning - air conditioning doesn’t work

It was clean and very centrally located . Very close to the station and town centre.

The air conditioning did not work at all. When we told them , they assumed we didn’t have the settings correct. We have the same unit at home. The air conditioning did not work at all and with the summer heat it was impossible to sleep. Leaving the windows open meant it was completely noisy as there is a pizzeria downstairs. When we asked if we could switch rooms or have someone fix it we got absolutely no response . I purposely was careful when booking my holiday to ensure there was air conditioning in the room. This was very poor customer service and I highly recommend to book cautiously if you are visiting in the summer.

Superb

Room was very clean. Breakfast was a coupon to use at a cafe around the corner. The pastries we okay, nothing to write home about, but they were fine. The directions to the key were perfect and easy to follow, and the staff was super helpful and friendly!

Not much to offer beyond a good location

The location is excellent

Not so much value for money. The dialog with the staff wasn't smooth. Could be the language since the owner didn't speak English. the breakfast offered wasn't good enough (only a small coffee and a croissant), I ended up needing to buy more always. No flexibility on the check out, no place to leave my belongings after check out.

Self check in with clear and easy instructions. The room was spacious, clean and the terrace was very nice. Comfortable bed! The location perfect if you need to travel from central station.

Ideal location close to station and great room

The room was perfectly spacious, really big and had all the basic needs. It was very clean and the bed was super comfy. There was an extra blanket to pop on the bed if cold. The bathroom was clean and a great size. Basic amenities provided. It was a lovely space to be in and a fantastic location if you want to be near the train station. Also only a 15/20min walk to the centre. The instructions to get into the building were very clear and super easy to follow. Communication with Elena was very good. Responded to all and promptly. She was very helpful with any issues. The breakfast was typical Italian breakfast of a coffee and cornetto which was a really nice touch. We enjoyed popping into the bar in the morning to have it and as I said, it was an appreciated touch.

No soundproofing at all. We could hear the toilet being flushed and sink on from either upstairs or next door to us. Anyone that came into the building was very loud and you could hear all clearly. This is very subjective as I'm sure most people could sleep through all, as a sensitive sleeper however, it was really not ideal.

Everything we needed

The host waited for us, otherwise it would have been rather difficult to find the room, located in the rear section of the building. The room was great, spacious, comfortable bed, everything very clean. The location was good, walking distance to the main attractions Checkout is around 10-10.30 but the host was very nice and let us use the upstairs deposit room

-the room smelled like cigarettes' when we arrived, quite unpleasant for recent quitters -the room was quite cold but we managed to warm it using the AC -quite pricy- but this is the price range for bologna it seems

Exceptional

The room was big and very comfortable but the very best part was the location 10 minutes by feet to the heart of Bologna center and every time we will be in Bologna because we visit at least 2 times every year we will choose to stay there

The only think I didn't like was that even talking with our family everyone was hearing us and also we were hearing the others room talking

I would not recommend this place to stay.

Location was very good - not far from central station and city canter. Room was clean, and quite big. Self check-in option

The door to the common corridor creaked a lot - it made it difficult to sleep at night when someone opened it. The bed was also very uncomfortable, bending and creaking every time I turned from side to side. There is no sound insulation, absolutely everything could be heard from the corridor and neighboring rooms. I expected better service and quality for such a price.

Superb

The room is one room and a bathroom. It was on the 5th floor if I recall correct, and I was thrilled because there is an elevator. I really liked the room. Clean and very nice bed also. Refrigerator and aircon.

The elevator: I worked the first night but the day after it did not. The owner wrote to me that it has never happened before, but it is a very small elevator, and I for sure do not want to get stuck inside it. I don't know if it has never happened before, but I would ask the owner if someone will come get you, should you get stuck one day. Because the owner was never there. nobody is there. You find your key, and then you lock your self in.

Great location and good value for the money

Room was very spacious, instructions for self check-in were very clear, breakfast vouchers were a nice bonus. Obviously the accommodation prices in Italy became quite high during the recent time and considering this DormiRe Bologna was one of the cheapest listings and compared to other options provided a very good value for money. Location was great close to main train station (5 min walk) and old town (10-15 min walk).

Exceptional

Everithink was new. The location next to the traint station is what we needed, because of the early flight. It is also on an acceptable distance to the center. The early breakfast in the near caffee is a great bonus. The instructions we received in the morning before arrival were clear/understandable and we had no problem with the self check-in.
