This is gem of a place I'd go back again. My room was gorgeous and it felt like being in Marrakesh.

There was no breakfast as such, but there were coffee machines available with capsules, and crackers (free of charge)

All was great, but I struggle to connect to the WI-Fi because the details in the room were not up to date (I think).

we were unable to contact staff when we arrived , We used all our phone credits trying to contact them. We had no internet access so had to find somewhere else to stay the night. They have the most awkward and stupid check in system imaginable.

Close to train station, room size & bathroom size was good.

The bed was hard. The rooms are damp with a lot of condensation on the windows from the bathroom. The sinks and shower dont drain properly. The shower has mould where the hand hose sprays. Supposed to be a Bed & Breakfast but there was no breakfast provided. No communication on a breakfast time. No details to say the room is on the second floor. The tenants above were making loud noise all night for 3 nights, dragging furniture across the floors and it sounded like painting. The key system to the room doors is not a quiet one, others moving in & out of the rooms were very noisy.

Did not stay, booked another hotel at 10pm after one and half hours asking the owners to let us in. Very disappointing e

We could not like anything because we could not get the keys. The owners had locked the keys in the apartment that we had no way of opening.

The fact that there was no clear instructions to enter the property. The keys were not available according to the instructions. We entered the grounds as one of the residents opened the gate for us.

Perfect location with an authentic Italian feel

Great location just on the outskirts of the city within a 5mons walk of the station. The room was very very quirky and fun. Host was great and very flexible with check in times.

On the surface – it was very charming and the location was good

It was in considerable disrepair. From toilet and toilet seats to chairs on the deck to not enough electrical outlets that worked and furniture that fell apart when you pushed it.

At that price, you would expect a treat. I don't think it is good value for money.

The location is good. It's within walking distance of the town centre. Travel from the airport was quick.

Judging from the room rate, wasn't well equipped or comfy. The decor is good to look at, but not the most practical to live in. The chandelier has a wire sticking out. The kettle is tiny (you can boil a small cup of water each time) and the water is lukewarm. The drawers can't be opened. The room is not small but there is no place to sit comfortably, or a desk to do a bit of work. All these small things add together to make staying in the room not a nice experience.

Walking distance to Bologna station and shops.

Accommodation is located on second floor, no lift and steep stairs, 2 suitcases is challenging. 5 separate bedrooms off a very small central lounge area, our bedroom was more shabby than chic, an electrical double plug socket with no cover hanging off the bathroom wall, a bedside lamp not working, on inspection of the plug socket found a bunch of wires taped together under the bed; safe busted. The supplied breakfast was 2 crackers and plastic pot of Jam left in the bedroom and coffee machine in central lounge; no breakfast room. The small outside communal terrace is cute, but bamboo chairs insecure, mine collapsed and resident large rodent presented itself. OK for 1 night, decor shabby, electrics a major concern; for a little more choose a local hotel with better facilities.

Very beautiful rooms and shared space. The terrace is a very bog plus if you sant to enjoy a romantic night together.

Would recommend and would stay again!

Well decorated and really comfortable bed. We slept really well when staying here and you have everything you need. A short walk to the train station and 15-20 minutes into town so absolutely ideal and very good value for money.

The lift is out of order so the stairs were a bit tricky in the heat but still manageable!

We really loved the terrace area & the room was beautifully decorated. Coffee machine was brilliant. We felt very safe and secure. Location brilliant- 5 minute from train station and 15/20 minute walk to center!

VERY BAD

This is my 3rd time in Italy. Although there were very bad comments about this hotel, I didn't really believe it. So what happened? 1- The room I booked was 18 m2 with a desk, wardrobe and armchair. The room I was given was 10 m2 and it was a very different room. 1- Even though it was summer, the duvet and blanket were directly on the bed. Do Italians sleep with duvets in the summer? We barely tried to put them somewhere. 2- The location of the hotel is close to the train station, but in the evenings, the place where homeless people live smells of urine. It doesn't give people confidence.

Nice accommodation close to train and bus stations and short walk into centre in Bologna

The location and security of the property was very good. Really close to train and bus station and only a 10 minute walk to the main piazza which was ideal for us. Not far from some nice restaurants. The property was well appointed and clean and tidy.

We were in room number 5 and whilst we stayed here, on one occasion the shower flooded into the room. Thankfully I found the towel cupboard to mop up the water. I contacted the landlord via WhatsApp and to be fair to them they were really helpful and quick to get a maintenance man to look into the problem. Not ideal but can’t fault the response.

Perhaps the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in

Absolutely nothing it was in an absolute shambles run by the rudest people I’ve ever encountered

Specifically, I hated the people that ran it. The woman was rude zero communication about how to check into the hotel other than a very complicated email where I had to finagle their system to get all of our passport information entered into an archaic software system made by a high school . These people do nothing except to take your money and grumble at you, please stay someplace else. The room was dark and filthy with a refrigerator that didn’t work and exposed wiring.

Not worth the trouble

The locatrion

This is not a serviced room. There is no one to speak to when you arrive in the location and you are left to fend for yourself. You'll need to give them a call (international call in my case). The Wifi in the apartment didn't work, the TV didn't work, the apartment was dark, the shower cubicle was minute. I wanted my money back as I booked 3 nights, unfortunately. I was offered to change to another room on the 2nd day and this helped a little as the shower cubicle was a bit bigger so we manage to shower. When we left, after 3 days, there was no Wifi yet.

Great place to stay and great facilities.

The coffee pod machine; the wi-fi and the outdoor area. Had a tiny kitchen area that allowed you to utilise bits and pieces, glasses and cork screw :) You could do a little basic cooking if needed. Convenient to train station a 10-15 min walk to central area. 5-10 min walk to supermarket (Coop)

Good

When I entered my room I was amazed. It was like an Arabian dream and the large bed was raised like a flying carpet! Les Chambres was a short walk from stazione centrale and very easy to find. You need to phone to gain entry rather than ring the doorbell at the street door. I was able to leave my luggage when I arrived and then again before I departed Bologna. The owner answered the quickly answered the phone each time I called her.

Les Chambres is on 2nd floor with no lift/elevator so that should be advertised. It would be beneficial to be able to use the lift that is there. The key to the room was tricky so instructions might help. I would have liked a glass for water. No breakfast or coffee was available although that was advertised.
