It was difficult finding the apt. It’s said to be a hotel, but is more of an apt. Apparently from Oct - May Bologna doesn’t allow air conditioning to be used, at least that is what the owner/manager said, however it was still warm outside and this is a downtown unit on a busy street, busy all night. To much sound to sleep. The unit was very clean, but couldn’t sleep at all.

VERY clean room with bathroom in the hall which was also very clean. Coffee and brioche in the little store first level. Espresso machine and fridge in room. Proprietor helped secure a taxi to the train station and recommended this over a train--he was no doubt correct about this. 20' beautiful walk to the famous piazzas and churches. Would stay here again.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. Only 1 block from the train station. Rooms were very clean and updated. Only complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable but I understand that new beds are coming. I highly recommend this place.

This is an excellent place to stay near Bologna Centrale. The area felt safe and plenty of places to eat near by. We were able to walk to the Bologna area sites. The only heads up is the room that has a double bed and single bed has a bathroom down the hall. We were told no one else would use the bathroom, but you can't lock the door from the outside, so anyone could just walk in and use the bathroom when not occupied. The host was very friendly and kind.

B&B owner Giovanni, didn't care. Too high price for all the trouble we took. His place was too hard to find even for local Bologna people who came with us searching for his place. There was no sign board, just under all apt owners a small name plate for mail it said "B&B". He sent us what's app same day of our check in but we were in transit and had no Wify. He could not understand english. This was a real unpleasant experience for us. We had to look for wify to see our text as he said "he texted us that he wont be home" and be back later. We ran from here to there in a new city Bologna, trying to get another accommodation prior to seeing his text after getting wify from another hotel. Finally, after getting wify i spoke to his translator on what's app. We decided to come back to his place at 10:30pm. But he again came 15min late & we stood outside the main entrance of this residential complex waiting for him. When he came he just said, he went for dinner with friends. Next day we checked out and left our luggage with him. When we came back at the time we agreed upon, he gave our luggage but wouldn't let us use the toilet and said "they are all occupied" .... unfriendly, unprofessional, inhospitable, senseless. Never again a B&B with orbitz. This selection is not good for orbitz on B&B. This place should not be promoted. This types of service is not good for Orbitz business. This is not worth $25/night. So sorry but no one should experience this. Sanjoy

Bed & Breakfast Centrale is located a few minutes walk from Bologna central station and 15 minutes walk to the historic center. On arrival, I found Giovanni very welcoming, polite and very helpful. My single room was comfortable with kettle, nespresso machine, iron, ironing board and hairdryer provided. Breakfast included (croissant/panini and coffee/tea) was provided by the friendly staff in the cafe next door

We enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located near railway station, clean and excellent service. It''s 15-20mins walk to Bologna center but lots of shopping and restaurants if you don't mind the walk. So, for being near Bologna centrale, it's perfect. Our main goal was just that so that we can take the train and also catch the Airbus to the airport. We did discover more though. Great restaurants within 10 miins walk. The outside of the hotel is not the best looking surrounding but is ok. The best part was the service. Giovanni responded quickly to my messages, was flexible when we had to make a last minute change, and even assisted me with obtaining boarding passes. As others had observed, the mattress was a little bit hard so we hope they can improve that.

This B&B is located very close to the main train station which is why we choose to stay at the B&B Centrale. (It is a given that being near main streets means there will be some traffic noise.) Our room was clean and had carved wooden furnishings, a firm mattress and pillows, long gorgeous heavy drapery at the window, and ample space in the room for all our luggage. Directly across the street is a 24/7 shop of vending machines convenient for drinks and snacks when you awaken with jet lag in the middle of the night. The best however was the friendly proprietor who met us cheerfully at our late arrival and kept our luggage the next day even after we checked out so we could see the town before leaving. The unique accommodations and such personal assistance made for a lovely stay. We would definitely stay there again.

The owner was so helpful and hospitable and had my room ready early for me to check in. The room was spacious, comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I will definitely stay here again as not only did I enjoy my of night stay but it's so close to the train station/airport bus and the centre of this attractive city. Great wifi too, nice and fast.

Giovanni is a great host who makes sure that the guest has everything he needs. He contacts you in advance and guides you to the B&B. The room is spacious and has airconditioning. The bathroom is nice and clean. The towels are replaced after two days. It's good to mention that the bathroom is external, but you can close the door making sure that the bathroom remains private. The surrounding area can be a little bit noisey due to traffic, but other than that the room is great. The location of the B&B makes it ideal to explore Bologna as most of the attractions are relatively nearby. If the walk to the centre is too far, you can also make use of bus transportation. For breakfast, you receive a voucher for a bar next door. There you receive a brioche (filled croissant) and something to drink, a typical Italian breakfast. If you're still craving for some more food, you can find plenty of possibilities nearby to get a nice sandwich. I'd definitely recommend this accomodation.

Great value, excellent location just a few minutes from the Central Station. Room was immaculate with a private bathroom directly across the hall, which was fine. Welcomed by smiling Giovanni - who made sure I had the best, faultless directions from the airport for a late arrival. Felt very safe and secure. Thoughtful details from Giovanni - water dispenser - chocolates in the hall (yes it was me who ate most of them) and a great coffee maker in the room. Breakfast is at the tabac next door - Cafe Chez Maxsi - perfect - friendly folk there too - and help with bus tickets and taxis. Giovanni's local knowledge led to Bar Ristorante Il Veliero which was a real 'local' find. Next corner up, on the right on Via Milazzo - opens 6.30 pm - best to book. Never saw such Pizza choice before - but a broad menu and good wine took me back 3 times in 7 days.

Our stay was short (just one night) but we were very impressed with this accommodation. It is very close to the train station. Our host Giovanni was very easy to communicate with and it was a breeze to setup a time for our check in. He provided us with tickets for a brioche and coffee, which we appreciated very much, grazie! The room and bathrooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, I would definitely recommend B&B Centrale!
