Good location, kind personnel, not so good the rest

The location is good, close to the stairways leading to the historical center of Perugia, and within walking distance of the center. One staff member was extremely kind and helpful on our first night, which was truly appreciated. The following day we were given an umbrella and space to keep the luggage after the check-in.

I chose this hotel mainly because the booking description mentioned a parking garage and included taxes. Unfortunately, after making a non-refundable reservation, I was informed that no garage was available, and that the taxes were not actually included. This information should be clearly stated before booking. The room, however, was disappointing. The cleanliness was mediocre, including the bed sheets, which did not look particularly clean. The shower was missing soap, one electrical socket did not work, and there was no soundproofing, so noises could be heard. The room is not especially nice, but it does match the photos shown online. I would recommend this place only if you are looking for a very budget-friendly option close to the center and are fine with below-average comfort for a short stay.

Comfortable and quiet place to stay very close to the main sites in Perugia

A very pleasant small hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, with very convenient access to the city centre and the main sites.

Guests need to be aware that there is no lift.

Basic hotel with friendly staff. Located near, but not in, the centre.

Good location - close enough to the central area to easily walk everywhere, but a quiet back street so you're not disturbed by noise. Our room had a balcony over to the narrow street which was charming. Friendly staff. Easy to get to from the top of the Minimetrò.

It's a very basic hotel. Not much to it. Our first room opened out on to a small terrace (good) but facing the back of all the surrounding buildings which didn't feel very secure to us (we like to have the windows open). The staff were happy to find us another room (with a balcony) which we preferred.

Paying €125 a night for this shithole is insane. The “hotel” looks like the kind of place people rent by the hour. Also they gave me a room in the 4th floor, when I noticed there was no elevator I asked the receptionist to give me a lower floor since I have two big luggage pieces, he said he had nothing else available and proceeded to stare at his screen, leaving me to manage the luggage all by myself. It was a big guy and it might not be included in his job duties but not even offering help is crazy

I have enjoyed my stay in Perugia for its majestic vibe of Italian city, which was also thanks to stay in this hotel.

The location is perfectly accesible. The comfort on good level and facilities were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would visit again :)

The balcony was little narrow, but in the end it showed the authenticity of this town.

Location is absolutely ideal. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. During my stay, my room had an issue with water and it was fixed promptly.

The walls are quite thin so you can hear neighboring rooms but this is something you have to count with. Apart from this detail, everything was great.

The location outweighed the cons.

Location was outstanding and made our stay in Perugia so easy and convenient.

Fair amount of noise from the hallway as people came and went and from other rooms, but it was always quiet after 11 or so. People smoked in their rooms (which is illegal in Italy) often with the cigarette hanging out the windows and since the windows and small balcony are very close, it was unpleasant and hard to get away from the smell. No elevator, so getting luggage up and down stairs was a challenge for me.

Hotel s. Ercolano is perfectly located to the old town. Situated near a quiet narrow street. Our room was small (with balcony, bathroom, wardrobe and small fridge), with enough place for a couple. Everything clean. We had a comfortable and lovely stay there.

Incredible value & comfortable stay! :)

The location is amazing and accessible to the main piazza’s in Perugia. The staff are very friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat, shops etc. we even got given a little Perugia souvenir from the staff. The beds are really spacious and comfortable and extra pillows are provided if you need. I am really fussy when it comes to comfortable beds and I had the best nights sleep. The rooms are dated however they are very clean. I think value for money and what you get is incredible.

Absolutely great location, in the middle of old center, but also far from the nonstop noise of the people. Quiet, clean, nice ... very happy with my choice.

For a budget Hotel ........Hotel S. Ercolano offered a spacious room, clean, great location and fantastic staff willing to help and with a great attitude (thank you guys) in a relaxed atmospher

There wasnt anything to dislike However if you are piccy this may not be your cup of tea however if you enjoy your Holidays and just crack on with it this will suite all your needs
