Location was good and staff were friendly. Beds had curtains and lockers were large.
Smelled very bad, was the only woman in the mixed room, bathrooms smelled, curtains were very thin, doors to room and to outside were left unlocked.
A man pulled my curtain open and started speaking to me at midnight when i was sleeping!!!

Location was good. Breakfast was not bad.
I really don’t like to write negative reviews. The person that did my check in told me to leave the backpack and I had to leave as I was too early, and closed the hostel. For 2h I didn’t have access to my things, and it was freezing cold outside. They did not provide towels-I could rent it. It was cold for me in the hostel. I regret staying there.

A cheap, central hostel with a decent breakfast and facilities. A curtain across the bed for greater privacy.
I don't like hostels as a rule but I was saving money.

I’ve stayed in dodgy places before, but Little Italy Hostel somehow manages to be worse than every warning I could imagine. From arrival to checkout it was an unprofessional, disgusting farce.
I arrived following confusing directions. I called to let them know I was there — the staff literally answered laughing, said “we’re here” and told me to “push the door.” No greeting, no help with my luggage, just memeing while I’m standing at the door with bags. That set the tone.
The rooms are filthy. There is zero enforcement of any basic hygiene rules (like removing shoes). The smell of feet and dirty shoes in the common areas and rooms was unbearable — so bad I booked out one night into a four-night stay. I asked politely for a refund for the remaining nights and got a gaslighting response along the lines of “we’ll see.” Appalling.
To make everything worse, after I left they texted me on WhatsApp asking me to leave a positive review before they would process a €15 bank transfer “refund.” That’s shameless — basically extortion disguised as customer service.
I had to rebook elsewhere for not much more money and got a clean private room with a proper bathroom. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place. Unhygienic, rude, and manipulative. Absolute trash.

It was a great hostel, A place where you could really feel comfortable. It was spotless. The only downside is that I was not there for longer as it was such a nice hostel and town.
The only thing I would say could be improved upon is the reception leaves at 7PM which is very early. The instructions given to get in were clear enough though.

The property is well located
The AC temperature was centrally controlled so at times we were melting in the room, at others we were freezing. The hostel has no staff after 7pm, so if you have any questions or requests, be sure to solve it before this hour.
We could not keep the window open. It was below ground level. Once you opened it, you had the view of bags of garbage.
The charge to store one baggage for 2h after the check out was 7 EUR. They use a third party company to overcharge for a service that is free in any other accommodation.

As a Chinese art history student, I traveled to Perugia for an important university exam, and staying at this hostel truly made my experience unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to answer questions or give local tips — they made me feel at home, even though I was far from it.
The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and full of charm. My room was quiet and comfortable, perfect for studying and relaxing before the exam. The common areas had a friendly and vibrant atmosphere, where I met other travelers and shared inspiring conversations. The location was ideal — close to the university, historical sites, and delicious local cafés where I enjoyed espresso and pastries every morning.
Being in Perugia, surrounded by so much history and beauty, was a dream for an art history student like me. And staying at this hostel made everything even better. I can’t recommend it enough, especially to students or solo travelers looking for a warm, welcoming, and affordable place to stay.
I will definitely return — not only for the city, but for this amazing hostel experience!
everything was perfect

I was satisfied with everything without exception: in the heart of the old town, clean and equipped, with a delicious breakfast (for an additional fee). The most pleasant experience, however, is the staff, they are polite, caring, and always reassuring even in case of problems.:)) 5*!
The soap could be of better quality.:)

Great location, friendly staff, small hostel and very spacious room. We shed in private room and it was really nice, but strangely no windows. We were told we had free breakfast the next day but when we arrived to eat they told us we needed to pay.

The room was quite small, but ventilation was good so it was not a problem. It has a location in the heart of the city and that's very good. Internet speed was very good.
Very small things

Nice common area, pleasant staff at the hostel.
There are 12 people in the small dormitary- very uncomfortable. The bathroom in the room is ridiculously small...

The location was spectacular, and the property was clean and well-presented; there were multiple bathrooms, so one never had to wait, and the kitchen was good, and had two cooking stations, which was very efficient.
There were no staff available for much of the time, it seemed. No one slept on site, and there was a power cut at 0730 one morning, which wasn’t resolved until the first person arrived at 0830, which was an issue seeing a that the doors to the rooms are electrically controlled.
Also, while I understand the practicality, the crockery provided was plastic, including cups. Not so much fun drinking tea from plastic beakers. The café area and dining area would benefit from a little comfort, all the chairs are plastic dining chairs.

Re location very good location, the room was the problem, it smelled of mould plus during the night, there was a lot of noise, could hear people talking from the window. Blanket very hard blanket not even a quilt.

Great location in a quiet street within the city center, clean areas.
Not the best place to meet up with other travelers although the common areas look nice.

Yes. The Hostel is new/renovated. No, it's not "boutique"
Do NOT use the Self-check in Option. I had to open the door for a girl that was left outside because of this system. Communication = zero after 18.00. She even called the "Emergency" Telefon. Which was disconnected.
Also.. At 3am there was someone ringing the bell for hours. (Again self check in problem maybe?)
The Rooms are OK. No AC or heating. The Lockers do not close correctly. Just 2 Power Outlets per Room. Towels are extra . Shampoo/Soap is extra. Leaving your bagage for 1hour or 6 hours cost extra!!
I mean.. For the Price I would expect there things to be included.

Great location close to the centre, clean rooms and friendly staff.
No facilities to wash clothes.

Centrally located, shower ok, large locker
12 beds crammed into a small room, no toilet seats! No cooking utensils in kitchen, still smells like paint.

Location is amazing, it's just a few steps away from main square.
Towels!! You needed to rent towels for 2.5€.
As a backpack traveller i never cared about taking a towel with me, but from now i will be paying attention to that when choosing a stay.

Great location, comfy bed and lovely staff
The room was not that clean. It was very warm in the room despite it being winter and the air-con wouldn’t work, I suspect it was just blowing hot air. The kitchen was also not open.

Very good location, close to the centre.
I've been there twice a few years ago and the place looked much better. This time facilities were partially broken (no toilet sit, no door handle). No one came to fix them for the whole week.
4.0 / 10.0
A highly affordable hostel in the heart of Perugia. The beds have curtains for your privacy and sleeping comfort, with their own lights and power outlets. The place was clean and quiet.
When I arrived it turned out the kitchen was under construction, which not only meant that you couldn't cook your own meals and didn't have access to a fridge to store things in, but also left the hostel without a good place to socialize and meet your fellow travelers. Then when I went for a shower the water heater wasn't working, so the only option was to take an icy shower in winter time. It's probably a better experience once the kitchen is finished and the warm water situation addressed, certainly given the cheap price.

Quiet and clean hostel
The manager dealt with all problems on the spot and resolved them (Wifi connection, extra blankets)

Not exactly what is prescribed in the pictures.
The room was equipped of 7/8 triple decker beds. This information was not clearly showed on the reservation details. In addition a cover picture of a private room was there for misleading you.
