Maggiore Suite - Duomo di Perugia

Great location, right in the centre of things. For the price it's a good value find in Perugia, if a little worn around the edges. The bed is extra comfy and the shutters omit almost all light, making it easy to sleep in! The check-in process was super-easy, and comms with the staff was always fast.

There's a constant whirr of machinery beyond the wall, so if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs. It's two storeys up, but the ceilings are high, so that's 60 steps - fine for me, but those less mobile might find it tiring. (That said, there's a tiny, rickety lift, and all of Perugia is hills and stairs anyway!) The main window does not open, so without air con it can get a little stuffy. It's a tucked away room though, so should be somewhat cool. Be aware, there's no clothes iron. In all the place is rather tired. It needs a little investment and thought to bring it to a 2026 standard, if only to just re-hang fallen pictures, put a cover on the duvet and remove the pots of dead plants.
