Great Location - Just be sure you have a plan in place for your arrival and parking, if you have a car. We received a parking pass from the hotel, but the parking is 5 minutes walk from the Hotel. The Old City has no vehicle access, so it is wise to plan your arrival if you want to stay in the center of things, where this hotel is located. The breakfast was typical. They prepared us fried eggs, which was greatly appreciated

We had a great stay at the Umbria. Staff were really helpful, room was clean and pleasant (if a little small) and the rates were good. One note: free parking is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and it was impossible to drive to the hotel. Driving in Perugia (near the centre) is a nightmare. The hotel might do well to add some instructions to the website (we parked somewhere random, and walked to the hotel to discover all of this).

The room was small, but so was the price! The owner was very nice and allowed me to keep my bags near his apartment because they were too big! The location to Piazza IV Novembre was great, but the road to get there was not great with a big suitcase. Would definitely stay again if I have a smaller bag!

The hotel is acceptable as to condition of room and cleanliness. Access to Corso Vannuci in the historic center of Perugia is about a 100 m walk, so access to the city is excellent. Getting to the hotel with luggage is problematic and we would not recommend taking a large volume of luggage to stay at this hotel. The staff was pleasant but not helpful at all with moving luggage from our car to the hotel. Car access is a real problem and the steep and narrow roads that come up behind the hotel are dangerous to drive on and we were luck to have not damaged our vehicle. Bottom line; if you travel into Perugia by train with light luggage this hotel is acceptable. You will have to carry you luggage from the train station to the hotel and that is about a kilometer.
