Historic building

The beautiful building. Interior was very special.

It would be better if they had a small bar. Close to centre of town though with good food and drink outlets

It is a very good hotel with attentive personnel and the best location possible.

It is the fourth time we stay here. We very much like the location and the personnel. Everyone speaks English and they are very helpful. The beds are comfortable. We came on a very cold day and the room was nice and warm.

The hotel had no Internet when we arrived. They fixed it on the last day of our staying.

Not worth the price

The hotel’s best feature is its great location

We booked an executive room, which I understood to be the hotel’s best option, but it was far from executive. The mattress is old, the heating system is outdated and cannot be controlled, and the bathroom is freezing, and this is not an exaggeration. There is a strong sewage smell that dominates the bathroom and at times spreads into the room, which was very unpleasant. The breakfast is acceptable, but nothing special. Very expensive for what it offers, especially when compared to other hotels in the area that provide better options at the same price.

You’ll love Hotel Fortuna!

We liked everything about this hotel. The staff was exceptional. We had a problem with the toilet in our first room and the front desk clerk went out of her way to be sure we had an equally nice room. She ended up upgrading us which we really appreciated. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast in their lovely dining room was excellent. The location was also excellent.

Great location. 1 minute walk and you are in the main part of the old city as that is where you are staying

We came in by car. Was challenging as you need to park in city parking lot and then is about 15 minutes of walking with bags. Series of escalators but separated by stairs. if have lot of luggage not ideal. You can drive in but is a whole arrive in old city, call hotel to lower bollard to let you in, drop luggage then get out and park in same lot to get back. Getting out there are not any escalators going down so lot of bag dragging down stairs. If you have the stamina is still great location. Pictures of room on Booking.com are not close to what you think you are getting. Room we had was very simple. Images on booking.com look like high ceiling painted, something very different from average room.

Tranquil hotel with wonderful staff in an excellent location .

Really excellent location..close to everything yet very quiet for a good night's sleep.Quaint ,quirky hotel ...worth paying for a more superior room ..we stayed both at beginning(planned ) and end of our holiday(unplanned due to flight cancellation!). Our first room was amazing with a beautiful painted ceiling ,2 bathrooms and very spacious. All the staff we came across were super friendly and really helpful.

Breakfast not the best but adequate. Our second cheaper room was rather basic and needed updating ..eg the shower head had to be held as wouldn't stay in the holder.

Building work was going on next door and was noisy from 6am. This should have been advised. Other guests noisy until quite late.

We enjoyed the hotel but I would suggest if you book to request a room towards the back of the hotel.

Very close proximity to the main piazza. The balcony on the top deck where one could enjoy a glass of wine and the view. The third floor balcony was also very nice and private. The breakfast offered is amazing.

Comfortable centrally located historic hotel.

The location was perfect and staff were very helpful. They have a beautiful library reading room a roof top deck.

There was a step up to the bathroom with no hand rail. The hall light had a motion sensor and did not always turn on.

Amazing and beautiful old hotel right in the centre of the old town. Interesting trip on foot from parking yo town via 4 escalators. Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast

I spent 3 nights here, 2 days exploring Perugia and one day visiting Assisi which is 40 minutes away

The location could not have been more central. It was only a few hundred metres from the Duomo and all major attractions

The view from my room was of the wall of another building about 2 metres away. However, the hotel was built in about 1200 and the streets in the centre of Perugia are very narrow. you can't expect much more in a renaissance city.

Superb

Location is superb, right in the middle of town, breakfast is buffet style with a really good and varied selection and the staff are great. Our room was not the largest but totally acceptable and pleasant. Nice hot and heavy shower

A fine, small hotel in an excellent location with a very good staff.

Lovely old building with charm. Rooftop terrace was nice. There is large reading room, beautifully decorated with dozens of books which the hotel encourages clients to take. The breakfast room is spacious with arched, painted ceilings and a fine array of cold breakfast foods.

Location and very nice and helpful staff are the only pluses of this hotel.

The hotel is a ruin. It demands a general renovation. Rooms are old, bathroom is disgusting. I was trying not to touch anything in the bathroom (awful) and in the room as well. It stinks on the corridors. The price is high and groundless given the conditions in the hotel.

Exceptional

The location is perfect for sightseeing and restaurants. Our room was on the third floor next to the beautiful reading room which we made use of. Breakfast was very good and the room, will freaked ceiling, was lovely. Staff were very helpful!

Located in the heart of historical Perugia. No problem to find restaurants.

Very noisy. Sound proofing not good and as we were in the first floor all the noise from the street was as if the windows are open. The heating cannot be controlled or turn off.
