We had a balcony but we couldn't go outside as we only had a window. Other than that all was perfect.

Excellent location, short walk to the station and the cathedral. Our room was perfect for 3 people, plenty of space , even a separate bedroom. Breakfast was good.

To access the hotel you had to ring a doorbell, this is ok if someone is sat at reception and can see you at the door but if not you may have to wait quite a while until someone comes to let you in.

I walked into a really cold room with no instructions as to how to increase the room temperature which I measured at 16.5 -17 but the remote control registered as 25!

It is located in perfect spot, close to Kölner Dom, downtown, and the central station. The staff is were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean.

The lift is small for families with more than two luggages.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed.

It’s in the center of the city and accessible to shops and just a walking distance to the Cologne HBf station and the Cologne Cathedral.

They have the worst breakfast, no eggs, sausages or bacon. They serve coffee from a flask. Don’t waste your money on the breakfast. Toooo noisy because of the shops down there.

Very close to the train station and Cathedral. Right on a pedestrian shopping street. Included breakfast while not extensive but good.

Has a great location

Great location. Room was clean, quite small for what I paid, breakfast OK and the staff is very helpful. Bathroom very small with shower cage making difficult to move inside without touching the faucet that could change the water temperature and the toilet next to it and the wall very close.

Just a really nice and quaint hotel and in a very nice location. Price was very reasonable!

Reception staff were awesome!! I arrived a bit early and they worked to get me checked in to a room. Very friendly and helpful also. Great location and easy walk to and from the Hauptbahnhof. Close to all the Kristkindlmarkts and restaurants. Only a 2 minute walk to the Brauhaus FRÜH am Dom.

Good enough for a comfortable city break

Location was excellent, very close to the Cathedral. Room was quite comfortable.

Elevator was very narrow and looked quite old. When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception. The phone number listed at the reception was not answered by anyone. We had to check the website of the hotel, in order to get an alternate phone number , so we could ask somebody to give us the room key.

Rude staff

clean, quite comfortable and a good location

I foolishly disregarded all the reviews saying staff on the desk were very rude. I did not realise that having a proprietor who behaves like Basil Fawlty would be so upsetting. He clearly dislikes having customers and was sneering and patronising beyond anything I have encountered. The hotel does not answer the telephone link provided on Booking.Com and does not read or reply to the email system on Booking.Com which I have always found to work fine everywhere else. The rudeness and ridicule I received blighted the whole visit.

I'd give location a 10. It's very convenient. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. He was able to arrange a packed breakfast as I was leaving early.

The rooms are old and can use an upgrade.
