The location of this hotel is fantastic, so central!
The price was high, but I believe there was a sporting event on the weekend we stayed which drove the prices up.

Lovely hotel at a truly excellent location, right in the center of Cologne with a funny subtle sand/desert theme. The rooms were nice, clean, and well kept and the staff was very friendly.
The pillows were a bit too thin and soft in my opinion, although folding them made them a bit more comfortable.

The gentleman at check-in was friendly and helpful. He personally carried our luggage to the room. The hotel is centrally located, clean, and comfortable.
The only drawback was the lack of an elevator

The location is unbeatable: it's walking distance from the train station!
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful! They were very keen to make conversation and help us by giving tips on what to see!
The breakfast, although not included, was wonderful! We found it very complete and delicious!
The bedroom.
It was smaller than expected - it did not correspond to the pictures.
The fact that it was an apartment restructured as several rooms did not help: the balcony was shared with one of the other rooms - although having a physical wood separator, we could hear our neighbors talking the whole night there, even with our windows closed.
The bed was not comfortable: the mattress felt weird, and the pillow was enormous and just horrible to sleep.
Also, the fact that the room doesn't have AC is a downside: the room gets really warm on warm days, and the provided fan doesn't help much. During our stay, we barely slept on the first night due to this. We were a bit luckier on the following nights because the temperature dropped considerably.
