Single room, as expected, is small but perfectly-formed & with all essentials. Bathroom on the small side but with plenty of room for toiletries, which is often not the case.
Breakfast buffet is varied & fresh; it includes omelettes to order, and serviceable staff bringing pots of tea and anything else one asks for.
All staff are super friendly, helpful and professional.
[Only slight downside is other guests letting doors slam behind them (awful habit, especially in a building shared with other people) and upstairs guests walking like elephants in room. Thankfully, I had a pair of ear plugs that muffled sounds.]
All in all, if I ever come back to Cologne, I’ll definitely book the same hotel :-)

It was hard to find the reception at first but once we arrived the receptionist was welcoming and kind. They helped get our luggage to our apartment and recommend activities around the city.

Great location and friendly staff, with a plentiful breakfast. However the single room was tiny and uncomfortable. Check-in was awkward having to go down the street to the other 'sister' hotel. The room was not very clean either. I think it was overpriced for what you got.

The check in clerk when I arrived was a rude as they come. Everything was my fault. I went to the hotel only to discover that you had to go to another hotel to check in. Trying to listen to instructions given in a very German accent on a busy street, over a speaker was difficult. To be then met with "*** told you this" is not very helpful as I booked with Agoda who take all links out of messages from the hotel. My room was a proper single room (tiny), but no ac. It was like a sauna all night and only cooled down once the outside temperature dropped a little. The head waiter and check in clerk in the morning were no politer. The one member of staff who was terrific is *** (the lady with the tats) who could not have been nicer or more helpful. The others could learn from her. Do not stay here if the weather is due to be hot
