The location. The size of the room. The front desk personnel.

It's a hotel that aged a long time ago. The room was noisy, and the towel holder in the bathroom was placed over the electric radiator, which might be a fire hazard.

Weekend in Nantes.

Staff were very friendly and the location was great. Breakfast was a range of cakes with a cheese or two. The room was nice but dated, but was comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice coffee and tea station in the lobby with a sitting area. Would stay again and would recommend 👌

The room felt a little old and needed a refresh. The breakfast could have had more on offer. Could have more information for international quests for example that in Nantes on a weekend you don't pay for travel tickets i.e train, tram and bus. You also pay for a certain amount of time, not a ride! Overall enjoyable stay.

Disappointed no air conditioning

Staff were very helpful. The location was great. We were able to leave our bags before our room was ready and after we checked out.

Booked a twin room which was small, the general order and cleanliness of the room was okay, but the carpet was pretty grubby - the general feel of the place was it a bit shabby and needed an upgrade. The air conditioning was also not working and it felt very uncomfortable due to the heat. Spoke to reception staff who were very helpful, told us that they don’t normally have the air con on at this time of year, even though the description of the room states it has air con. The staff offered a change of room, which we accepted, it was larger but still no air con, so it was still pretty uncomfortable trying to sleep at night and had to leave a window open when there was a noisy club/restaurant nearby.

Great location, right in the city center. Good breakfast, serving time until 10, and on weekends until 11. Hotel clean, tidy, staff very friendly and helpful. Good communication via messages before arrival. Bed very comfortable, room service every day. I recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the city center, good value for money.

Only one table lamp worked, the other lamps were faulty.

A good location right in the centre of Nantes, close to the main sights and the excellent tram system. Just what you would expect from an Ibis hotel. Clean, comfortable, no frills.

Disappointing

We arrived late the first night and were given a room which smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. I think this is common in France. The staff the next morning were very understanding and immediately moved us to a different room. In general the hotel decor needs a huge overhaul. There were lots of stains on the carpets and the bathrooms were very dated. Poor water pressure.

Troubled and very unpleasant stay.

Good location, and a comfortable bed.

There was NO internet in the room, although the hotel description underlines the availability of WiFi in the rooms! Very weak illumination in the room. The combination of the two factors prevents work in the room if necessary! Very dirty carpet in the room and the corridor. Basic breakfast, although it is buffet style. Be aware that the coffee is not included in the buffet. You have to pay an additional fee for it. Be also aware that if you pay at the beginning of your stay in cash, you will receive NO receipt or document for the expense made. You will have to wait for the invoice by the end of your stay if the payment has been marked and the receptionist happens to see it.

Affordable and well located

The central place allows you to be close to many places (bars, restaurants, gym). Public transport is also widely available to go anywhere. I did not take any taxi to get to work this time and it went well.

The breakfast offer is too on the sweet side, poor options for a salty breakfast. But that's ok considering the price you pay. Wifi was slow or disconnecting everytime i was going from 3rd floor to the breakfast lounge. You need to connect everytime.

Fabulous location! Located really close to the tramline as well as major tourist attractions! The room was incredibly clean and spacious. Breakfast was great as well! Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Nantes!

The location was amazing. Close to everything in town. The staff were also amazing and friendly.

Hotel location is great and in a beautiful part of the city. Room was rather small but with a comfortable bed.

Rooms are very basic. Apart from the bed and a small desk, there's nothing there. No kettle, minbar, fridge etc. There is no welcome pack with basic info such as WiFi login, breakfast, check out times or info about the city (normal stuff you'd find in most hotels). Bathroom was in desperate need of renovation. Paint peeling of the walls, cracked tiles, dated and uninviting. TV was not working in my room. I notified the receptionist and found the remote gone when I returned to the room in the evening. TV was still not working. And not a single wall socket worked in the entire room so I could not charge my mobile or work on my laptop. Really disappointing! When I mentioned this to the person in reception the following morning while checking out, she did not apologise for the inconvenience. Simply, took the room key and said she'd go and check it. For the next unfortunate person who was to stay in this room, I presume, definitely not for my benefit! Would not stay there again
