Oasis of calm in Nantes

It was a great location, and the staff were helpful and charming.

It was quite a challenge for us to get to the hotel as we were not aware that we needed a code to access the property. It would’ve been helpful to have the address of the spot as well as directions for lowering the barrier so we could drive to the hotel and drop off our luggage.

Location and cleanliness

We were on the second floor, the colour scheme is black, and I mean black. Black walls and carpet. Poor lighting. No where comfortable to sit in the room. Even if you wanted to it would be like sitting in a cave.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean, beautiful big room (206) with plenty of natural light, excellent double glazing, delicious breakfast.

Good city centre location

Room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Location was first class with shops and restaurants 1/2 mins away.

The bathroom was quite tight for space and shower was on a height which left it difficult to get out of it safely.

The place is really old and not in good shape at all. The bathroom sink smelled terrible. And the room was not really clean. Staff is friendly but inexperienced, needing to "ask the manager" - who only stops by apparently, so I had feedback hours later. Bottom line: Clearly a management problem...

Good value in city centre

We booked a larger room and it was worth the extra. Full breakfast is very good though quite pricey. Express breakfast was better value. Beds are very comfortable and cleaning service very good. Lovely to be able to throw open the large windows and view city life all around. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is lovely and it's easy to get to all parts of Nantes, thanks to the excellent trams. It's 5 minute walk to Commerce where all tram lines converge. All public transport free at weekends. Plenty of bars and restaurants everywhere.

There was a mosquito sharing the room with us and we got bites.

The staff were very helpful. Truly that was all.

Almost everything. The room was tiny, the decor was very dark blue and black, it made the room feel like a cell. It could have been an old brothel. Design was totally lacking, unless you are under 5ft tall. There is a very nifty towel holder, really, just above the toilet. When you take your towel to edge into the shower it dislodges the other 3 - which then fall into the toilet. You could actually walk around the bed - just. You could not sit on the toilet, there was no space for your knees! Breakfast was adequate, coffee was not.

The balcony was nice, and bed was comfortable.

The room was quite small - you opened the door and were practically on top of the bed. The television was not working the entirety of my stay. The bathroom was oddly large in comparison to the room and down a long, dark hallway. The bath/shower was so high off the floor and deep that I found it awkward and a touch unsafe to get out of - even as a tall person - particularly when it was slippery, with no bars to grab to steady oneself. The location was in the middle of lovely shops, but there was no place nearby to get a morning coffee - so be sure to get the breakfast (which I did not). Do not bring a lot of luggage as the lift is tiny.
