Kirklands Hotel

Comfortable clean room, delicious breakfast.

We both had the chef's special curry for dinner, it was brilliant, The breakfast was very good, a waitress would given you the breakfast menu and they would bring it to you, we was looked after very well, The room was quite a big room and very comfortable.

We only had a one night stop over, it would been nice to have stopped longer and had a good look around the area, maybe next time.

It was good to return to Kirklands. A lovely welcome and we enjoyed scones and coffee shortly after our arrival. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed and a comfy bed so we slept well. There was a good choice at breakfast to suit all tastes. We ate in the restaurant both nights and our meals were tasty and expertly cooked. I really recommend the sticky toffee pudding or the peach Melba for afters. We did do more than eat! We explored the town and its independent shops ( good bookshop) then walked to the park and round the loch. The ferry to the island castle was fully booked so book ahead online for that. A good location as a base for days out.

All good for us.

Breakfast was fresh and excellent but did not have evening meal so can’t comment although restaurant looked busy.

Only downside was condition of hall carpet
