Perfectly situated in the heart of Perth. Stayed in the Tulloch room on the first floor. Huge bed and big room with a great en-suite.
Room had everything you would possibly need including an additional blanket and small electric heater in the wardrobe.
Was impressed to even find an umbrella in the wardrobe too along with 2 facecloths in the bathroom.
Attention to detail and the little extras provided is exactly why it’s beater to stay in an independent hotel rather than a chain.
Must admit, there was a bit of an odd smell around the reception area which made me think what my room would be like. Fortunately the room was amazing as were all other areas I visited.

Stayed for a wedding, very good location and central Perth with lots of shops etc in the close vicinity. The staff were so helpful and excellent throughout my stay as I was travelling alone, the receptionist couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Very comfy beds and clean sheets, lovely breakfast that I added on for one morning too. Great value for money
The rooms are a little dated for a 4 star hotel, bathrooms are modern so looks like these may have been upgraded. Small things like maybe a free bottle of water in the room would have been nice.
Also the heating on the first night of the stay wasn’t that hot even though I had put it up full due to it being freezing cold outside, and so the room was quite cold. On the second day it felt much better so not sure if the hotel had set the temperature higher.

The meals were really good and so well cooked. The hotel is nicely positioned on edge of Perth whilst only being a short walk to centre. It’s right next to the park, the grounds are really lovely
The pillows were flat which made for a really bad nights sleep. I also hated the fact that you pre ordered breakfast but that one form choices is what you got for the whole stay, I was training the first day so only wanted a light breakfast, I asked for a new form for the following day but was given the same form so was limited to making it understandable but the next day I was so disappointed. The final day I had plenty of time and would have loved a full cooked breakfast but couldn’t make my form understandable so had to plump for the same as the previous day so I felt short changed and left very very disappointed

Location was perfect, right at railway station and very short walk to city centre.

Our travel plans in the islands was disrupted by weather, and we had to leave early, but not on our preferred ferry time. The Parklands were excellent at moving our booking forward a day.
Because of the altered travel arrangements, we could not make our evening meals, we unfortunately arrived 40 minutes after the restaurant had closed. However we still had to pay in full, and the owner laid the blame with us for booking with BOOKING . COM. He said I quote " they charge us 20%, they're based in the Netherlands, the money goes out the country". FAIR point, but 20% is not 100%, and VERY MEAN SPIRITED ON HIS BEHALF, LEAVES A BAD TASTE.

Alex at reception was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a superior twin room. The room was spacious and had a big modern bathroom with a deep bath and a long walk-in shower. Big fluffy towels. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of power points. Plenty of parking. Lovely grounds, close to a big park. The restaurant is open for dinner and breakfast.
Two soft feather pillows on the bed. Prefer one soft feather pillow and one standard pillow.

The chef is excellent and the food was outstanding. I had dinner in the hotel for two nights, one night I had the chicken with peppercorn sauce and it was really good, the chicken succulent and the sauce was superb. I then treated myself to the lemon meringue pie and it was the best I have ever had. The second time I had a the goats cheese and beetroot panacotta then belly pork dish and it was so tasty. Although I’m diabetic I couldn’t resist the lemon meringue pie again. Breakfast is by a pre order form done on the first night of your stay. Breakfast starts 7.30 weekdays and 8.15 at a weekend, unfortunately my course was on a Friday and Saturday so 1st day I had breakfast which was superb. The next day I had to have the breakfast bag as I had to leave by 08.30. The bag is lovely but not diabetic friendly as everything in it was high sugar. I had asked if I could change my order form for the Saturday morning but the form is the same form you completed on the first night so I had to cross off what I’d put on for the Friday morning. Unfortunately to make it clear it became impossible to use the form for anything different for the third morning so I had to just ask for the breakfast bag again. A different order form should be given for each breakfast, it can still be done the night before but I was really sad to have ordered another breakfast bag that although beautiful just wasn’t suitable for my needs and deprived me of the opportunity to have a full breakfast which I would have loved on my final meal.
The roo. Itself was lovely the mattress really comfortable. My only issue was the pillows were flat so my first night was awful but the staff gave me extra pillows so the remaining two nights were superb and really comfortable. The toiletries were really good and more than enough for my three nights stay. I did have problems with getting hot water from the ceiling shower head although did get it from the handheld so it wasn’t much of an issue.
As I stated above the breakfast pre order form is only one form for the whole of your stay but for me this deprived me of the opportunity to change from a light breakfast one day then the breakfast bag the next and an opportunity to have a cooked breakfast the next. Also there is no opportunity to order a more diabetic friendly breakfast bag

Location. Very close to town
No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Also, it is very tired looking - could use a coat of paint

The hotel breakfast and evening meal were both very good. The owner and his staff are very friendly.
My only criticism was the fee for my dogs. £30 is the most I have ever paid anywhere!
They are both very small, non moulting and not allergic to other people! They don't even smell like dogs and they have their own bed.
So £20 for the two would have been more acceptable.
In most cases when the hotel charge a fee for dogs they will provide you with a water bowl at least!

On arrival we were met by Kerry who was the night manager, Kerry is an exceptional member if your hotel team, very helpful, gave us lots of useful information, she was kind, bubbly, knowledgable. On leaving we left our puppies ball and she very taped it along with a few treats when we returned to our car.

Very spacious , clean and comfortable bedroom and very friendly, helpful staff. Easy walk into the centre of Perth. Also very useful to have free car parking at the hotel this close to a city centre.
The hotel address refers to the road behind the hotel so Google maps took me there, missing the signage on the main road. It took some time to locate myself and see the signage on the main road! An extra sign at the rear of the hotel might be beneficial .
