The Townhouse

Wonderful eclectic rooms, warm and cosy. David makes the most lovely breakfast, such a thoughtful and particular host. Will definitely stay again and made sure to recommend The Townhouse to my colleagues.

Beautiful, spacious rooms, with picturesque views over the South Inch. The property is located a few metres from the centre of the City.

Absolutely stunning room, incredibly comfortable with lovely furnishings. The coffee and tea selections were really nice and the scones and shortbread were a really thoughtful touch. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was also fabulous. David's breakfast was exceptional. Lovely, thoughtful and gracious hosts.

The Host David was very friendly and personable. The rooms had some nice touches and were very well equipped with a large comfortable bed.

Exquisite decor and artefacts made the visit feel luxurious yet comfortable. David and his husband are perfect hosts. Their warmth and welcoming nature made us feel that we were staying with old friends. The location is perfect for a morning walk through the lovely park opposite as well as being close to the restaurants. Breakfast was fabulous too with David starting our meal off with a beautifully home made strawberry and mint palette freshener. Having the ability to park right outside the back of the building was perfect too. I can’t wait to return to this stunning, welcoming, luxurious townhouse.

Everything. It's a superb place to stay. So stylish with wonderful attention to detail. As a bonus there are tasteful examples of sculpture and painting throughout the property. Breakfast was of the highest quality with a large choice all freshly prepared. Best of all David is a discrete but attentive host. We shall be back !

Everything! Lovely property and our room was very comfortable. Service was excellent and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Our scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. We got scones on arrival with jam/clotted cream and shortbread. Tea/coffee in our room with bottled water. Even a night light was provided if required - David and his partner have thought of everything. If you are visiting Scotland and plan to stay in Perth - look no further to get the full Scottish experience. We will return.

Fabulous large room, tastefully furnished with many thoughtful extras; newspaper, fresh coffee, snacks. Beautiful view of the park, parking at the rear. Delicious breakfast included in price.

The room was tastefully furnished with beautiful pieces of furniture and the decor was gorgeous. Everything for our comfort had been thought of. The choice of teas , beautiful china , newspaper, scones with cream and jam - amazing! Being able to park our car in the private parking overnight and also morning while we explored the town was a welcome bonus. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely hospitable

We had a wonderful stay. Our hosts David & Laurent were so helpful & nothing was a problem. Our room was gorgeous and so close to town. A great location.

The BB was immaculate, elegant, and, in fact, beautiful. The decor is just stunning. The rooms were spacious and spotless, so clean. Comfy beds and lots of little niceties in the rooms . Beautiful toiletries and just everything to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast was first class with lots of choice. The hosts were attentive and very nice people, so generous and made us feel welcome for our stay. We would recommend 100%

The Townhouse lived up to its expectations. Located opposite a park and only a short walk into town. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of nice personal touches. A delicious breakfast was cooked to order

Whilst they catered for GF - in my case it is a medical condition not a lifestyle choice so I didn’t appreciate being described as ‘one of them’ albeit in jest. Room facilities were great but maybe a mini fridge would be useful for milk/drinks. Slight drain odour in ensuite needs attention.

David as always is an absolute gent, from his warm welcome to his outstanding breakfast. The Town house is diamond in a coal field of bed and breakfast on offer.

The Townhouse is centrally located in Perth- and Scotland for that matter. We easily parked in the alley in back and were greeted warmly by our host. He helped us with our luggage to the second floor where we entered a spacious and well appointed, beautifully decorated room. Antiques and modernism converged to make our accommodation very comfortable. There was a table for tea and scones and one for coffee and shortbread. High quality and delicious! Bed and bathroom were comfortable, the bathroom had new fixtures that were original reproductions. The room was spacious. After settling in briefly, we joined the owner in his beautiful garden out front , where he recommended that we walk a couple blocks to the River Tay, cross one of the bridges over the central river and enjoy the shoreline that included a sculpture park. The Townhouse fronted a beautiful public park across the street where people picnicked and children played competitive games. We recrossed the river and within a few blocks entered the fantastic Perth History and Art Museum, followed by a visit to their Modern Art Museum. All wonderful! We explored the compact and lively little city with shops and good restaurants. We ate dinner and returned to The Townhouse. In the morning we went downstairs to the dining room to join the other visitors. Our breakfast was top notch! As a former restaurant owner and food critic, I cannot praise our meal enough. I thought we had the best experience at the Balmoral in Edinburgh, but I would call The Townhouse the “ little Balmoral of Scotland”. If/when we ever return to Scotland, I would stay here and travel each day to destinations only to return to Perth and this fabulous little hotel. Love love love😘

A little tricky to find.

The attention to detail was very impressive. The host, who was very friendly and helpful, checked if we needed a dinner reservation and would have recommended somewhere if required. He gave us his view and directions to the place we had booked. He supplied details of things to do and see in Perth before we arrived as well as providing books on the area. There were complimentary scones , biscuits , a range of tea and coffee , water, phone chargers as well as many other interesting books in the room and a very comfortable bed . Breakfast was amazing and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I would love to stay there again .

The best accommodation of our whole holiday. David could not have done more to welcome us, settle us in and provide excellent advice on the City and dining opportunities. The quirky decor, the tall and spacious, elegant rooms with original design features and delightful extras were exceptional. It's a gorgeous building with carefully tended gardens, an ideal location and fabulous staff. What more can I say? We'd recommend it without hesitation and hope to return to be spoilt once more.

The owner/host spent 30 years in hospitality and it shows! Everything about this place was incredible. The room was stunningly beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the location was by a big park but close to train and town, and the host was so warm and welcoming. Every decision they made for this B&B has the guests comfort and happiness in mind. Too many perfect little details to mention. A must stay!

Not only is the host amazing and funny, the moment you get shown the room everything is perfect. It feels like a proper Scottish / British homely feel. Everything is thought after, scones for a small bite, water besides the bed and coffee ready to be made. It really feels everything is made to make you feel like home. The mourning breakfast is made with care just for you.
