Room was filthy and was told hotel was used to house refugees but clearly no updating was done in rooms but charged over £100 per night, will never return, manager also agreed room looked “tired” when the plug sockets didn’t work and their was dirt up the walls. Bed was 100 years old. Offered me no refund just an upgrade next night in which that was the room advertised in the photos. Total disgrace. Perth on a Monday night at that price is just extortion. His response was gas and electric rates are up, fine by me if the room was even fit to be let out in which it wasn’t and I was only moved to a new room because they were doing “works” on that corridor. Really not good enough standards

Our De-lux room was unfinished, with no toilet roll holder, no towel rail holder, the bedside lamps only one worked as the other did not have a socket to plug it in. Breakfast was a disaster, the plates were cold, the food in the Baine Marie was cold or empty, when we asked for Eggs, Sausage teabags. The staff did bring them out eggs were hot, beans were hot, sausages were cold All in all a rather disappointing experience all for the price of £238.39

Hotel is in a state of partial refurbishment which is incomplete in the deluxe rooms we stayed in. Parking good and was clean. We left after staying 1 night.

The place is showing it’s age. Service at the restaurant was slow. Room was nice and clean though.

The Hotel was not fit to be open to the public. The room was badly in need of redecorating. The bathroom basin was blocked. The whole place was shabby. You stuck to the dinning room floor when walking on it. Could carry on but would run out of writing space. Staff were great though!

Room was fairly clean, tv wouldnt pick up any channels and wifi wouldnt work on any of my devices. Restaurant was shut so cant comment on dining. If your 6ft or taller mind the bathroom door frame as the bathroom in my room was a step up and i hit my head twice walking out. Floor was also quite creaky and must have sounded awful for the room below me

Enjoyable two days. Had a good sleep. Had everything required. Comfortable sleep. Just a little too warm but could open window. Buffet breakfast was lovely. Good choice and well presented.

The hotel is lovely building but seems to be going through repairs and updating. The work is a bit sub standard with the finish just not at the high end. I paid for a double deluxe room but got only a small double on the first night, when I mentioned it I was changed rooms the next day and was given a bottle of wine as compensation. The staff are friendly but the bar has no atmosphere and is pretty run down. Breakfast was okay but no anything startling.

The hotel is centrally located which is good. The receptionist at front desk was lovely & very helpful. Areas of the hotel are undergoing much needed redecoration, the two rooms we were allocated were in much need of a complete overhaul but thankfully they were warm. Breakfast was a challenge, we were down around 08.45 but the selection from hot buffet was limited & other guests were also enquiring when hot selection would be replenished. Unfortunately it arrived in drips & drabs so we skipped the hot selection & made toast. One member of staff clearing tables etc was dressed totally inappropriately, hair hanging round her face, she was wearing a baggy jumper with oversized sleeves which were being dragged through the plates while she was working, it was quite unpleasant to observe! This hotel has so much potential but there is a great deal of work & money required to bring it up to a decent standard. Unfortunately we will not be returning to stay at The Station Hotel in the foreseeable future.

Hotel appears to be undergoing renovations, the downstairs lobby looks decent at a first glance but things go downhill as you go upstairs. The rooms are extremely old and dated, with threadbare carpet that doesn’t reach the edge of the walls. Our bed was wedged into the L shape of the room meaning we only had one bedside table and a 2 inch gap on the other side, the bed itself was so old it sunk in the middle leading to a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The cleanliness of the room was none existent, the gap around the edge of the carpet was filled with all sorts of bits and dust and we found old drinks bottles and toenails under the bedside table. The pictures on the Website are very misleading, which is a shame as the hotel could be beautiful

This was probably once a really nice hotel but it is very run down now. They are in the process of renovating but I think it will require lots more money time and effort. I have seen student accommodation in better condition. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful and the location is great.

Beautiful old hotel. It is obvious it’s undergoing a refurbishment. The stair carpet was very worn, but the main hall carpet was beautiful- very plush. The room was clean and basic. The bath and shower were new looking, but there was an old crack in the sink. The furniture in the room looked tired, but the bed was amazing. Very comfortable. Room temperature was perfect. The staff at reception were lovely and welcoming. Well organised with keys ready in an envelope, observing social distancing. The hotel is central and within walking distance to pretty much all the city sights and venues. I would definitely recommend staying here, as they are obviously trying to update, it’s very clean and tidy in spite of this. I will be back.

Checked in, the hotel looked either half finshed or broken years ago & never repaird. Total dive. Walking in from the car park a person clearly under the influence walked behind the hotel met someone & then left again. Everything was dirty run down & unkept, we decided to just finish our holiday early & go home instead of stay the night, would never recomend anyone stay there

The hotel reception closed at 2230, which isn't stated anywhere on the booking and our keys weren't left in the place they said they would be, which meant a 30 minute search at midnight. the hotel is dirty, run down and just disgusting overall.

So disappointed hotel is almost derelict looking in reception area no proper carpet and bare bottom stair with carpet gripper nails sticking out. Breakfast we’re still waiting to see a member of staff. Made our own choices from what was available but had obviously been lying there a long time. We will definitely not be back and cannot recommend at all. So sad could be a really nice hotel.

A fabulous building from the outside and obviously very elegant in it’s day. We arrived it seemed in mid renovation? Arriving in through the back entrance wasn’t the greatest arrival with no sign saying they were decorating and the carpets splattered with paint and all pictures and lighting removed plus no lift working. We nearly left at this stage but we were tired after our journey and just needed a hot shower and good bed. The rooms didn’t disappoint! Newly decorated and brand new spacious bathrooms…we stayed! Hotels have had a hard time lately and this one is definitely trying to get back on their feet. Polite but limited staff who are obviously trying to do everything!

We had a twin room and unfortunately did not notice until almost check out the valance on one of the beds was filthy and very badly stained an absolute disgrace. Heating in room was almost nonexistent shower was a joke. Girl in “charge at so call breakfast “ didn’t have a clue what she was doing. Hotel was awful and would recommend the only thing to fix it would be a bulldozer. A total disgrace to Scotland.

Carpets were trip hazard since ridden up on 1st floor. Wallpaper peeling, bathroom fixtures damaged, areas grubby. Breakfast awful : greasy and horrible. Place was not very clean. People wandering around UN masked. Cleaning not done properly (antibacterial sprays all have a length of time they need to be on a surface to kill bugs, usually between 2 and 15 mins. Staff were wiping straight off). Only positive was the receptionist was a polite, helpful young woman.

Handy for rail and bus Stations and car parking. Walking distance to city centet or handy for taxis in station carpark. Evening meal was excelent breakfast a bit disappointing. The building in need of an upgrade. But for what we paid the hotel was good value.

Hardly any staff, we had to go looking for assistance at reception and bar. We enquired if there was a menu for lunch and was told no menu but what do you want, maybe a toastie ?Room was very cold and windows glazed so as we could not see out.A MASSIVE crack along the ceiling. Bar was closed on us around 10.30pm on Thursday night.

The accommodation was okay but decor was dated. The restaurant wasn’t open early for breakfast even continental wasn’t available. So for my seven night stay I had breakfast twice. Also for dinner it was closed early again only had dinner once
