Enjoyable stay

Food was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive, hotel was clean and in a good location. Would come back.

Room was small and felt a bit claustrophobic as you couldn't open the curtains. Bed was comfortable but the pillow was too hard for me. Bathroom door was difficult to open and shut because of the room carpet.

Good value accommodation for short stay trips

Room was very spacious. Made to feel welcome upon arrival. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Breakfast was included in the price. Central location. Right next to the venue we were going to the next day. Good choice of breakfast, and know how to make a good poached egg.. 11am check out . Parking onsite

Didn't have my mixer for my drink, had to settle for something else. Decor slightly dated. Pool table in bar has old style cloth and plays slower (if you are a keen Pool player you will know what i mean).

Staff were welcoming & so nice & friendly. Lovely modern room with ensuite. Bed was really comfortable. Crisp bedlinen. Newly carpeted throughout. Spotlessly clean. Food in hotel restaurant was delicous. I ate dinner in my room which wasnt an issue. Very enjoyable plentiful fresh breakfast.

Good, hotel, but early night on a Saturday bar.

The location is close to the town centre.

After coming back from our nights entertainment we found the bar closed. It's was just before 10pm. This was a little disappointing. Breakfast was good, but I did thing the cooked breakfast was a bit greasy. Comfortable bed and a warm room.

Disappointed selected the Grampian based on reviews on Booking.com.

Location central to city centre. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Shimla Restaurant has good selection of choices of Indian and Nepalese.

Carpets in the room require vacuuming and cleaning, central heating not working on the second night so very cold in the room overnight , bar fridge is noisy, queen bed instead of a king bed was provided.

Great stay, great food!

The room was spotless, comfortable bed and bedding. Their Indian/Nepalese restaurant was excellent - amazing food and great service. We had actually booked another restaurant but had been told how good the Shimla was so we cancelled our taxi and stayed on site.

On entering the foyer we were disappointed by the decor which was shabby. My partner went up to see the room and was happy to see that it was freshly decorated and clean, but they need to smarten up reception area and get rid of the grubby couches.

Very nice hotel, rooms spacious and clean, beds very comfortable, the young staff working there were excellent very friendly and certainly tired to help you when you asked for anything

Most of the staff were very friendly, but the man booking us in really had no customer service skills, he was very polite but really didn’t know how to acknowledge you properly, I had to ask where to go to get upstairs to our room, a youngish man on the bar again didn’t really acknowledged us when we went to get a drink which meant we didn’t spend any time in there bar would suggest they get a properly bar person

This hotel was a great little find! Very vintage and clean. My room was small but it was just me and it worked out great! The breakfast was awesome!

When I went to take a shower the hot water would not work at all in the tub. The door for the tub opened into the tub so you could not adjust the water at all without getting in the tub and stand in cold water. The bed needed a foam topper or something, when I sat on the bed I could feel the bottom of the foundation.
