A memorable visit

The hotels location was very good. The meals and drinks that we had were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room was warm and the amenities were clean, but there was a noisy electrical generator operating most of the time, especially during the late hours. It was quite annoying. My partner did not enjoy sleeping on the hard mattress

Very central parking possible very near the property. Ok room a fair distance from reception - put my walking boots on !!! But for the price very exceptional including delicious breakfast

Great stay

Was at Perth Accordion and Fiddle Festival. Great Venue. At first concerned about amount of passages and steps to climb to room but soon got used to it. Great that there were numerous toilets available for the various events. Staff extremely friendly, polite and hard working.

Old quirky interesting hotel

Quirky hotel - over time next door buildings have been incorporated resulting in very unpredictable layout & floor levels ! :) Very old hotel, a bit faded glory from it's great heydays but loved it. Great location for Perth centre, staff friendly. No carpark, local council pay carparks only, need to go a bit further to main edge of town carpark if need to park all day but not expensive. Would return :)

The view from the bedroom window! Down into internal courtyard / buildings. Have to say probably one of worst views I've had but didn't stay at the hotel for the view :)

Historic hotel stay, full of charm with wonderful breakfast and staff

Old fashioned, quirky hotel. Squeaky doors and floorboards just add to the charm of this hotel. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful. Great choice, tasty and helpful, smiling staff who are friendly and efficient. The hotel is very centrally located. Ideal for the Theatre and Concert Hall, museums, restaurants, shops and parks.

The room was very warm. Thankfully there was a fan and the windows opened (unlike most of the charmless, chain hotels).

Ideal location in centre of Perth but quite tired

Location close to river, city centre and parks

Service wasn't great, on departure I was simply greeted with 'in the box' for the key deposit, no thank you or how was your stay. Hotel is very dated and well past it's prime

Disappointing

Hotel front was closed. We had to enter through the side door , passed smelly food bins . Tape on thread beare stairs , hard pillows . The front of the building was closed. Due to debris falling of the building . Building needs a lot of money spending on it . Such a shame

Room was clean and a good size. Did have breakfast included but the hang over was to big to eat anything

Decent hotel in the town centre

Nice hotel, lovely staff and well located for the town. Breakfast was decent and again staff very efficient and pleasant.

Room 101 was comfortable, not a great view, but the room was constantly uncomfortably warm and that's with the heating off.

Great location within Perth

Excellent central location. Bathroom looked to have been recently renovated/updated. Bed was comfy enough though only stayed 1 night.

Room was classed as Superior Double tho wouldnt like to see a double room! 1 panel in window was covered with plywood!

Great hotel in goodlocation.

Hotel is really central. We arrived a bit early but our room was ready which was great. Comfy enough beds and pillows. Good times for breakfast - buffet style. As with these, it's your luck on timing whether its fresh fill ups or been sitting for a bit. Room was a superior double and roomy enough. Decent shower. Great bar and staff are excellent.

Deapite being a superior double we had 2 twin beds pushed together to make a double but they didn't quite fit so had a small.gap berween which wasn't great but the beds were comfortable. No other issues.

The staff were really friendly. The food was very tasty .

No parking , dog hairs , bed uncomfortable , every floor board creeked , doors slamming , people walking up & down the hallway , you would think they were in your room .I understand its an old hotel but i dont think i would stay here again or recomend it , sorry.

Ideal location, loved the bath-tub and breakfast.

Plenty of hot water for a bath, good quality towels. The breakfast was a banquet and well worth the extra cost of having it included in the price. Personnel in the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

At reception there is a back-office where the staff sometimes gather. When they are in there it is impossible to gain their attention from reception - the angle is too narrow and there is no bell to ring to let them know someone is waiting at reception.

Lovely staff and it’s a hotel with character and history. The breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent, a lot better than most hotels in this price range. The location is as central as you can get.

Just be aware, I booked a single occupancy room for my Dad and was a small single bed, not Queen, which is quite unusual. Had I known, I would’ve paid extra for a double room.

My superior single room was very dated, it was also room 330 which was near impossible to find, musty hallways which could be modernised. The room was ok but all furniture also outdated, no fridge either, the shower screen was wooden like bifolding doors was very annoying as it keep coming in on itself whilst in the shower and restricting my space, the shower was also so small
