Staff are nice, food lovely, and room clean, although absolutely no view, looking into a wooden panel and a wall. My bed was very uncomfortable it was hard and lumpy. I told reception, and I asked for a softer mattress or a mattress topper. Unfortunately, they didn't have a mattress topper for a single bed, so it was just another duvet put under the sheet, which wasn't great. I've stayed twice before and never had an issue like this. I will return again, but if I'd have been staying longer than two nights, I definitely would have wanted a more satisfactory outcome.
My bed bring uncomfortable, no view.

It was a very good experience here. Apparently the oldest hotel in Scotland, and it offers a pleasant and restful ambience. The breakfasts are very good here, which made a nice start to my day out on the road northward. Hopefully it would be possible to stay with them again in Perth at some point in time.
No problems for me here. I did notice their lift was not working at this time.

Nothing really convenient location and no other choices available at the time.
Bedroom was very dated and far to warm, pillow and bed was not comfy.
Room location was poor heard everyone walk pass the room due to the very dated and squeaky floorboards.
Breakfast was only served until 0930 was mentioned so was missed out on.

Breakfast was OK. Would be better if dining plates could be situated next to the main ingredients, bacon, sausages, etc, rather than at the other end next to beans, etc. I'd rather put main items on my plate first.
Hot food had been left out in the carvery too long by the time I went for breakfast at 0915hrs. I suggest maybe cook less and replenish more frequently. Staff should know how many guests to expect in the final hour as they are ticked off the list. When customers self serve, the presentation becomes rather messy. It would be better if a staff member is on hand to serve up.

The breakfast was really good.
The matttess, though comfortable, was lumpy. The room was a bit old fashioned but in-keeping with the hotel's style. My breakfast table sloped but the whole floor was unlevel! (again just a sign of the hotel's age). The window rattled.

The history of hotel .
The fire .although on hogmanay it was off at 10pm .
The central location
We arrived at 30 december
On 31 no food at bar ..we asked for a ticket to the new year ceilidh. We're told no it was full
So no food bar closed .
And although staying at hotel could not participate.
We found this quite a sad state of affairs ! In our own country
So with everything closed we spent new year in our bedroom .
Next day we went into breakfast
Felt like an outsider .as the hogmanay ballers drink their bucks fizz .
We were willing to pay for our ticket to hogmanay meal .
And feel it's a sad shame to be treated as second class citizens
On such a special time of year.
We would never recommend
This hotel due to their unfriendly staff and management.

Checkin was great. staff at the bar area were amazing. The location is probably the best in Perth.
The room was so tired. The corridors also very tired and dated.

Clean, comfortable, and very convenient . The room had everything required.
The lighting in the room was very poor, which made it difficult to apply make-up and do. our hair. The cord on the kettle was very short

The staff were exceptional and made us feel very welcome, the food was quality and very good value for money with huge portions, the hotel is immaculate. In middle of city centre,
There is no hotel car park but theres a payable high rise car park 5 min walk away, or a closer public car park but only has a 4hr max stay, the high rise is about £13 per day with sundays being free

We have stayed at The Sally on a number of occasions. It's close to the shops and local attractions. Value for money and a nice breakfast.
Unfortunately, on this occasion we had to complain about the noise from other guests that went on until 3am.

Folks it’s not the Ritz . Value for Money , Brilliant . Stayed before . I like the hotel. It’s a place to place your head . I thought the staff are amazing. Key point .~ I work a lot helping businesses this industry. I was more than happy . All the staff definitely 10/10 . That’s makes up for a lot . The Front desk Shannon brilliant , Night manager Jim bent over backwards. My super star was the work aholic lass Been to Canada .

The hotels location was very good. The meals and drinks that we had were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was warm and the amenities were clean, but there was a noisy electrical generator operating most of the time, especially during the late hours. It was quite annoying. My partner did not enjoy sleeping on the hard mattress

Was at Perth Accordion and Fiddle Festival. Great Venue.
At first concerned about amount of passages and steps to climb to room but soon got used to it.
Great that there were numerous toilets available for the various events.
Staff extremely friendly, polite and hard working.
Can’t really think of anything.

Nice common areas, rooms clean and warm
The room was very basic, bit expensive for what you get. The receptionist wasn’t very welcoming when we arrived and seemed to be annoyed

Quirky hotel - over time next door buildings have been incorporated resulting in very unpredictable layout & floor levels ! :) Very old hotel, a bit faded glory from it's great heydays but loved it. Great location for Perth centre, staff friendly. No carpark, local council pay carparks only, need to go a bit further to main edge of town carpark if need to park all day but not expensive. Would return :)
The view from the bedroom window! Down into internal courtyard / buildings. Have to say probably one of worst views I've had but didn't stay at the hotel for the view :)

Old fashioned, quirky hotel. Squeaky doors and floorboards just add to the charm of this hotel. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful. Great choice, tasty and helpful, smiling staff who are friendly and efficient. The hotel is very centrally located. Ideal for the Theatre and Concert Hall, museums, restaurants, shops and parks.
The room was very warm. Thankfully there was a fan and the windows opened (unlike most of the charmless, chain hotels).
