Mercure Perth Hotel

Good breakfast as always in the mercure hotels

Room was clean and comfortable. Had iron and ironing board, which was handy as my dress for the evening was a bit crushed. Good range of foodstuffs available for breakfast. Tasty and well cooked. Easy walking distance to Perth Concert Hall, and not too far from Railway Station.

The cobbles at the entrance were uneven with large gaps which meant walking on them required care. Would be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties.

Excellent central location near the concert hall. Paid parking on site satisfactory.

Menu in bar fairly basic. Wine was poor quality. Our room was next to main door so was quite noisy at times.

Central, fair price, nice staff, clean enough overall (though a few cobwebs were visible), bed was fine, pretty good breakfast.

The floors are incredibly loud and creaky. For some reason the room above us was active, talking and moving about until 3:30 AM so the constant loud creaking and cracking of the floors kept us awake. To be clear: a bit of creaking can be charming, I live in an old house with hardwood floors, and am used to it. This was way beyond that. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, the bedside window could only be opened a crack, and no other ventilation or AC in the room, so it got hot and humid.
