Short break - very comfortable modern rooms

Lively pub and hotel on weekends. Great menu choice. For a pub the rooms are surprisingly spacious, modern, clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities and removed from the pub side of things so not noisy. Small car park at the back and on a bus route.

We kept hearing next doors phone alarm going off which was annoying as they seemed to be ignoring it - or maybe had gone for breakfast ! That isn't the hotels fault though - otherwise stay was lovely Suggestion for hotel - we couldn't find any USB charger points which most places have these days ?

Couldn’t find our way in at first but we did arrive when it was dark and likely down to us not knowing the place and not fault of the hotel

Hotel was clean and staff friendly.

The property was clean and lovely.

The bar closed way too early to get food. And, there was a violent domestic incident out on the street upon night of arrival. Of course, no fault of the hotel property, but it was a bit unnerving. Police arrested a guy and next morning he was back out of jail and screaming at his partner. That is what we woke up to. Had I have been traveling single, I think I would’ve been completely unnerved for the evening. Thank goodness, my partner was with me.

came on a hot day,wellcomed by staff,had a hot shower,had a great dinner,had a good night,

the staff was very helpful,the room was better than expected very nice,so was the manager,food was great and the atmosphere was realy good.parking was good even though i came on motorbike.breakfast was very good but no beans but apart from that i enjoyed myself and would come again.

the only thing i didnt like was the transport into town was not good but understand its only a small town and the bus is every hour.thats all.

Super friendly staff, very kind to my mum. Good food, reasonably priced. Friendly comfy bar.

Better communication about how the hotel worked and that we would not be able to access public areas outside of licensing hours would gave helped, but this was made up for by a wonderful, thoughtful manageress. Not enough parking at weekends

Lovely hotel, with parking. Comfortable and in a good location

Beautifully decorated. Clean. Friendly staff. The veggie breakfast provided. Slept well.

Coffee could have been fresher and warmer. Little choice for breakfast. We had to pay extra (£10.95pp) because we booked through booking.com. No muesli, berries or soft fruits.

A comfortable overnight stay for two.

Lovely stay and will return :)

Location was great as we were going to Game Fair. We have eaten here before but this was the first time we had stayed. Staff were friendly. Room was lovely and clean, looked like they had maybe had been refurbished. Only suggestion is maybe replace the mirror with a long mirror.

When we arrived there was only one member of staff on, running about doing everything and we had to wait at times but she kept us informed and was really lovely and friendly (great asset to the hotel) so we didn't mind 😊 Breakfast again was a bit disjointed as only one member of staff on but food was lovely so no real issue.

Good room but pub very busy and noisy

Bedroom and en-suite nicely appointed, stains on duvet cover. Tea and coffee facilities

Entrance dirty, leaves piled up and cigarette stubs. Restaurant looked unkempt. Bar busy and noisy. Had to hunt a member of staff to check in, no one there to check out.

A little gem in Scone

An excellent pub and accommodation in Scone. Very comfortable room and excellent food.

It was noisy if the fire door wasn't closed. We were there on a Saturday night and it was very quiet with the door closed but each time it opened, there was considerable noise.

Wont go into detail but the meal I had was more than disappointing .I was offered a replacement but declined.I have had 30 years in catering and know what I am talking about.

Scone is really lovely.

There was a function on in the bar which was next to the rooms. There was a lot of noise from the bar but particularly from the hand drivers in the toilet which were opposite our room. People were also chatting for much of the night in the corridor outside the room.

Disappointing- was so tired we couldn’t make the best of the last day of our stay in Scone.

The hotel was well maintained with modern decor. The room was clean and well stocked with tea/coffee making facilities. Spacious and clean bathrooms. Good menu and quality of food was good for the price.

We stayed in room 101 - which was fine when we checked in but when we returned to our room around 11pm there was a loud humming noise which was going on/off for around 5 minutes every 10-15 minutes. Due to the late hour, we decided to hope for the best and expected that it would shut off when the bar downstairs closed but unfortunately not. The noise continued the whole night and we got no sleep. When we complained in the morning the receptionist knew straight away without even asking that we must have been staying in room 101. There’s a refrigeration unit bolted to the outside of the external wall of room 101 which they said should have been on a timer. Regardless of whether it should have been on a timer or not - I wouldn’t have wanted to have been listening to that racket at any time of day. We were told another room would have been found for us if we’d let them know - why put us in there in the first place if other rooms were available??. No apologies, no discount on the room rate - just an assurance if we stay with them again they’ll make sure not to put us in 101 again.

Better than expected

Room very clean. Food great. We only encountered one member of staff, who was very helpful and friendly.

Parking was scarce. Car park very small street had to park on side street. But it is the only negative.

Not a 3 star experience more 1 star

Good location. Modern rooms and well equipped. Staff on duty positive and aware of issues with room, TV, meal service and door lock security. Staff did make amends by offering a range of one day free breakfast and 2 free drinks each - appreciated and understood not staff on duty issue but an organisational one and one of poor communication by hotel management team.

The breakfast was awful. Poorly cooked and not as described on menu. Advised that breakfast was only available from 0900 hours as limited staff. We were only two for breakfast on Monday 4March 2024. One member on staff on duty to take order and make. No sausage or has brown available but no extra of anything else to supplement. The self service area for fruit juice, coffee/tea, cereal and toast was at bar area. The bread was a co-op loaf still in wrapper. Tea/coffee all instant and from hot water jug. This was in no way an exceptional breakfast as described on marketing material and certainly not a positive experience. Advised on arrival that kitchen would eb closed for Monday evening - no prior warning for this. In bedroom TV did not work and relied on guest putting in own account for BBC and Prime. Heating failed to work and given replacement heater that worked perfectly but surprised no attempt made to correct fault. Room not serviced in any way other than addition to tea supply and milk on day 2 - no cleaning of room, no linen change, no waste removal. This was not a 3 star experience

Food was reasonable Comfy room Nice bar. Friendly staff. Especially Zoe who sorted my room and was very welcoming.

Great place, perfectly situated for Rewind Festival

Service was above and beyond. Person in charge managed to organise a 6 seater taxi for us to take us to Rewind Festival as we sat enjoying lunch. This was a huge benefit to our day at the festival.

Unfortunately, a few items weren't available for my vegan breakfast. The chef was good enough to come over and explain and apologise. He still managed to scrape together a decent tasty meal.

The breakfast would show up the major hotels. There was plenty to eat to set you up for the day and hot which is usual as a lot of hotels i have stayed in the food is tepid and/or dried out despite their attempts to keep it warm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
