Brilliant pub hotel. Easy access for the arena. Comfy and clean and very friendly place!

The property is very secure. You walk into the bar area which can only be accessed by the ring door cam. You ring it and someone will let you in. Or when you get your keys this has a key fob on to come and go as you please. To access the rooms it is all done by the key fob as well. So you feel very safe and secure. The man on the desk was brilliant, efficient and was very approachable if you needed or wanted anything. He was even outside when we left and made sure we knew where we were going and asked if we needed a hand to get anywhere! We were staying at the hotel as we were attending a gig at the arena. The arena was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel! Can’t comment about the food as we never ate. But the bar is brilliant and friendly. We stayed in a twin room upstairs which was lovely, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. When returning back from the gig. Staff were friendly asked if we had a good night and if they could get us anything. What more could you ask for? There is a great coffee machine and vending machine in the bar which can be accessed all hours. Great one night stay. Perfect for access to the arena!

The rooms are pretty spacious and clean. the bathroom is great & en-suite, which is great considering how cheap the room is.

limited parking spaces at the hotel & also NOT free. Parking in the area is extremely limited very busy so I was worried about leaving the car parked away from the hotel. Saying that - my car was never damaged. some rooms are up 3 sets of stairs.

Excellent value for money, cheapest place I could find in Sheffield for a Friday night. Staff were very friendly. Good facilities - pub underneath, with food and coffee etc, vending machine, cabinet with toiletries to sell. Good security, had to buzz in through about three doors after hours before you even get to your room. Emergency numbers available if locked out too. Room was spacious, comfy bed, shower was great, everything mostly clean. Posh roof window was cool, big TV although I didnt try it. Hairdryer, kettle, mugs. A few small shops nearby. Close to tram, bus outside, and 45 min walk to town otherwise. Headsup, they organise payment through bank transfer, but it all went smoothly. Would love to stay again.

A little smokey smell but you can't help what previous guests do. Would have expected there to at least be shower gel, but not a big issue, just remember to bring some or get from nearby shop.

Very friendly staff and simple pub accommodation. 15 min walk to the Sheffield Arena which was really useful. Room was simple with a modern and well equipped bathroom.

Quirky bar, a bit odd to have to ring a bell to get in but once you get past that it was good. We were welcomed and shown to the room. The room was fairly basic but had a kettle and hairdryer. We had a comfortable and clean triple room. Comfy beds. Decent shower. The staff are friendly and fun. The locals were friendly. There were lots of visitors for a gig at the arena, and they were all nice too. The atmosphere was made by Stuart, who is a great host.

Comfy bed and friendly staff but awkward parking.

The room was clean. The bathroom lovely and the bed comfy.

The check in and out procedure was a bit clunky. Had to go through the pub below. The room I stayed in was located via an external metal fire escape staircase. Although the security was great with key fobs, the parking (£5 a day) was a bit tricky. You get the access code to one car park that fits four cars in and if that’s full, you can squeeze your car in to what seems like the staff car park at the back of the beer garden. The staff were extremely helpful in sorting it out, but it felt a bit tricky as a lone female at night. There is noise from the pub downstairs. That didn’t really bother me. My shower didn’t work and was sorted out by the helpful member of staff who turned the relevant switch on at the top of the ceiling! I would never have reached it! I asked for the WiFi code…. No one knew it. So well over my data this month! There’s a kettle and two mugs, but no tea or coffee. Apparently, I could’ve asked and I would’ve been given some. …. But that’s usually standard.

Staff couldn’t do enough, parking was secure and just as promised , the food was wonderful and the bar had a local friendly atmosphere, I would not hesitate recommending this place to stay, was gutted I wasn’t working longer in the area 👍

Amazing stay

The beds are super comfy (really wish I knew where they were from). It was quite quiet. The staff were lovely and friendly, pub was really secure too. Had everything we needed. Exceptional value for money. Highly recommend staying here.

This is a pub with rooms, not a hotel - the pictures do not tell a representative story about the venue. Avoid!

Very little. The website and pictures of the property that they’ve supplied to you set very different expectations to what one actually experiences. I expected a basic hotel room with basic facilities, and accessible parking. What I didn’t expect was the inner-city equivalent of a flat-roofed pub which had b&b rooms stacked on top..

On arrival, the barmaid cum receptionist advised us that parking for my friend’s car was £5 per night, and took photos of her car number plate. On checking in we paid in cash as had been requested by text. it seemed odd that they preferred to deal in cash as opposed to card payments (because they said wanted to avoid the card payment fees.) The barmaid/receptionist then asked for identification and photographed my friend’s driving license. In compliance with GDPR legislation - with which I am familiar, I would expect that these would be deleted on departure. My room (1) had a kettle and cups, but no coffee/tea/sugars were provided - there was chargeable tea/coffee downstairs in the pub. Similarly, there was no shower gel/shampoo provided. The shower/toilet room was small but well appointed and it seems like these facilities have been updated but the rest of the rooms have not. I had to shower with handwash. The bathroom bin was unemptied from the previous occupant’s stay The room my friend took (16) again had no tea/coffee/shower gel/shampoo. She found it hard to sleep in her bed, which was a double divan due to the age and state of the mattress . Her towels smelled musty, and the power supply to one plug socket looked like a DIY job. I would like to raise a case with Booking.com to assess whether this venue meets the requirements to be hosted on your site.

Tv was ok

Lot of noise from pub downstairs couldn't sleep at all till 4 o clock. Room where all congested with 3 beds in a double room. No shower gels or shampoo even hand-wash was almost finished. Room was not clean got a takeaway box from under our bed. No parking

everything 10/10, Sheffield is a psychogeographical wonder of a place

excellent value for money, very dog friendly, clean modern room, close to the canals to be able to walk into Sheffield, the hotel is slightly on the outskirts of the town but I love walking and exploring, the old industrial-ness feel I really enjoyed, some beautiful architecture and amazing old typography on the buildings, the areas definitely not been gentrified and I really enjoyed the whole vibe and atmosphere of the area, my first time in Sheffield and cant wait to come back for more exploring.

...everything was perfect, its a lovely family run hotel and bar/deli. No complaints whatever.

Not much to be honest. You had to walk through a pub full of people with suitcases and children.

The noise level, sounded as though we slept in a brothel, no air con, couldn’t open the windows as right next to a sheisha bar, pretty sure we’re all high from fumes.
