Compact and comfortable

Centrally located, the hotel had a surprisingly relaxed vibe. The room was compact with features that maximised the space. By the bed was a plug socket and 2 USB points. In the absence of bedside tables and table lamps were two little nooks and flexible lamps in the wall above the bed, which I really appreciated. The shower was hot and fairly powerful, which was welcome. I only noticed street noise from my 5th floor room one night. I had a pleasant stay there.

Tiny green light in the ceiling seemed to really illuminate the room at night. I would have preferred a chair in the room rather than a stool, and maybe a slightly bigger bin, but those are minor points..

Exactly what it says budget hotel

Bed was comfortable, room was warm once we figured out how to turn the heating on.

Staff were more interested in watching cricket and chatting to eachother than customer service or manners, tea and coffee is not nice here and other drinks are over priced. Room was about the size of a jail cell and you couldnt open a window. Not enough milk tea or coffee in the room and if theres 2 of you staying and one leaves the room to go downstairs all the lights go off and you have to sit in the dark until they come back with the key card.

Small, overpriced and uncomfortable bed.

Location and cleanliness

The room was tiny with the bed against the wall, my husband had to climb over me to get out. The bed also sunk in the middle meaning we kept ending up squashed together. There’s are only a couple of coat hangers for storage and no bedside drawers/shelves to have a bottle of water on. The car park that had a parking offer through the hotel was meant to be £10 yet it was £11 and was quite a walk with heavy bags. Also it was very overpriced, we paid £220 for 2 rooms with no breakfast yet if we’d stayed the following night it was £35 a room. I know it’s marketed as a budget hotel but £231 for one night for my husband and 1 daughter is not a budget price. Definitely not worth the money and I have since cancelled a stay we had booked here in the summer.

Functional hotel for one night only

The location was very central and convenient. The breakfast wasn’t too bad but not included in the price so you’re paying extra for something you could get cheaper in a restaurant

The room was so small that the tv is perpendicular to the bed so you have to prop yourself up on the wall just to watch the news, it’s very uncomfortable

Well worth the money

Nice reception and breakfast area. The room was perfect for the price of this stay. I would definitely stay here if visiting Sheffield in the future. Breakfast was reasonable, too.

Mobility assist room

I'm used to staying here. Everything suits me. I'm just here for a days hiking and a quick family visit. I've stayed here half a dozen times this year.

I was put in a mobility assist room. It's great for people with problems but a bit bleak and awkward for the able bodied. Wet room, awkward sink. Wide open spaces. I don't think I was asked or told?

Good location, get what you pay for , bed was fine

First when we arrived into the room we had a look around and the bathroom had a long hair on the shower wall but this was reported then we got a room change, breakfast was stale and cold not much choice . Cleaning was poor as bedsheets had stain on . I witnessed that the reception staff was seemed to be ignored the phone when standing by it when it rang multiple times . No toilet brush . No disposable bags in the area they should be , no bag in bin , only one bin in bathroom.

Location was really the only upside for us very close to the city centre The longe area was quite nice on the face of it but we didn’t use

The size of the “family” room to begin with it was difficult for the two adults to even move round the room at the same time and this is without having a child with us Even those the room smelled of cleaning products it was daily dirty with what we only assume was ketchup smeared on the skirting board The shower leaked as it was not well install or the sealing has broken down. It’s how the building was designed I guess but the windows didn’t open even a little so it felt with the size a bit claustrophobic at times There were hand prints down our walls And what we assume is bleach marks on the carpet which had to be used to clean up other issues

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent . conveniently situated close to everything I needed, including, Aldi and Waitrose . The staff truly stood out; they were welcoming, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The service was efficient and personal, creating a genuinely pleasant and relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with exceptional hospitality

My second time staying here. It's comfortable, well-located, and a good price. I'm sure I'll stay again. Very convenient for short trips to Sheffield visiting friends or for work.

The hook on the back of the door in the bathroom is at the wrong angle, and made of slippery metal, meaning that it's not possible to hang a towel on it. Water drained slowly from the sink, and it could have done with unblocking.

It was extremely well priced, perfect location, simple but enough. Clean tidy quiet rooms.

Only negative was that the sink in the bathroom was blocked, but that could happen anywhere. My other issue was having the room maid knock and try and open the door at 09.00 despite us not having to check out till 12.00, a better system of letting them know who has checked out maybe placing a sign on the door when you’ve checked out.

Bed rather uncomfortable, ‘reception’ is a little difficult to locate at first as it’s just somebody standing with a laptop behind a shelf. Found little black hairs and crumbs in crease of the mattress. Didn’t dare to inspect anything else otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed there.

The room was simple but clean, with all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. The bathroom was decent and functional, and the hotel is in a convenient location with an easy walk into the city centre. Worth noting: hotel has an agreement with a local parking lot where plenty of parking is available, though it can be a bit of a walk from the hotel, not too inconvenient, but something to be aware of.
