Convenient for transport to other areas of Sheffield, Meadowhall and Crystal Peaks shopping centres. Also can get the tram through to the Sheffield Arena.

Great location with faded grandeur

The location was perfect for my needs. The staff were welcoming and hospitable and provided fresh milk on my return when I asked at reception. The bed and linen were very good quality and comfortable. I received a free upgrade which was very welcome as I needed to take a meeting in the morning online so it was great to have a spacious room.

I had a room at the front and the tram was very noisy at night and in the morning, it disturbed my sleep. I found the lack of amenities in the room to be penny-pinching. Although there was a small sticker in the bathroom stating that you could telephone reception for basics including conditioner, cotton wool etc, I found that rather unsavoury. At this level of a hotel I would expect at least a small amenities pack without having to telephone. Also the squeezy hand soap and shower get on the wall felt cheap and unhygienic. The water was in cans which was off-putting, and no biscuits were provided. All these touches cost just a few pounds, but would leave a much better impression. The room was very clean but tired, it needed a deep clean with grubby carpets and black silicone in the bathroom.

Amazing location, lovely rooms

Amazing location, so central, we had a deluxe double room which was lovely. Staff were great. We parked at the recommended car park and reception validated this for us. I didn't have breakfast, my husband said it wasn't great - so I would recommend going out for breakfast.

Central location in a historic building. Room was spotless. Staff were nice and friendly Reasonable price

Unbeknown to Me I was given the last room available, which was a disabled access room . Now for someone with additional needs it would perfect for them, but for Me it kind of took the shine off the stay a little bit. The bathroom was large but not particularly welcoming as being a large tiled area it was a bit cold, the sink was nigh on knee height which wasn't ideal when Your over 6 foot tall. The room itself was a bit on the small side as was the bed. This is by no means a negative review on the hotel as it is a lovely hotel, it was just unfortunate that this was the room I allocated.

Hotel was great, room was really good and bed comfy Tram just around the corner to take us to venue (quite crowded though) but that was to be expected. Staff at front desk and at breakfast were lovely and helpful.

The only thing was the man running the bar when we got back from concert was really miserable and not very friendly Apart from that hotel and location were really great and would definitely recommend

I stayed at The Leopold many times when my daughter was at University 8 years ago. The rooms are starting to look a little dated now.

Central location

Room cleanliness, net curtains were black with dust. Rooms are small and dated. Our room was at the back over the square and there was very loud music until 2am which we weren’t told about.

The only thing lacking for us at this hotel was on site parking, but the staff were very helpful and organized in directing us in how to park in a nearby parkade and it was easy to pull up out front to unload.

Mainly the location, easy access to the city centre.

For my partner who's asthmatic, we were unable to open any windows or figure out if it's even possible. So we ended up going outside in the rain a lot of the time for fresh air.

My stay was excellent.

Good bed size, spacious room and toilet. The location is good as it is in a quiet section of the road, but still very near from events around the city. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I like that the hotel offers baggage drop off. I also like that the hotel offers £5 voucher for the bar if you don't ask for daily room service.

The breakfast option is a bit limited (i.e No toaster and bread to toast)

Excellent hotel with impeccable service

Excellent service from the staff, and such a friendly welcome. Great breakfast, facilities, and location. Very good value for money. Would 100% recommend for anyone going to Sheffield!

Fantastic location, a friendly and comfortable hotel. We received such a warm welcome from the polite and professional staff, particularly the charming young man on reception who took a personal interest in us which we really appreciated.

We had a lovely quiet room and a comfortable bed but beware of staying out til after 2am!

Staff were couteous, the bed was comfortable and there was good soundproofing from street below so it like felt very peaceful location right in the Heart of the city.

We asked staff about reentry at night as we were going to a party. We were told that we could return any time although we'd need to ring the bell for a member of staff to let us in after 2am. We were out at a party til 4.30am and it took around 15 minutes to get ourselves heard for someone to let us in. After ringing the bell multiple time we resorted to banging and rattling the door til eventually someone came. For a while we thought we would be locked out. It did not feel like the 24 hour access we were promised and the staff member was not fully dressed when he appeared and had clearly just got out of bed.

We had the disabled room (106), which had a wet room, which wasn't our ideal choice. The decor looks rather dated in the rooms. We had a great window view of the commuting ankles, and we seemed to be below some sort of utility room with lots of thudding noise generated.

Nice stay for a couple of day

The location is perfect in the heart of Sheffield, the rooms are extremely clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is varied and delicious. Although the breakfast hall fills up quickly with guests, the staff are full of energy and provide excellent service. I especially commend the employee Medhat for his kindness and outstanding service.

In my room 124 The soundproofing was very poor, as the hotel is located among restaurants and bars, so the noise was very loud.

The best hotel in Sheffield

It was amazing to see the hotel was an old school more than 100 years ago. A comfortable and happy stay with historic background was more than I could ever ask for. The staff are lovely, the bar is a nice calm place to have a quiet drink and the breakfast was delicious! Our room was the perfect size and the beds are so comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful! Lifts to every floor helped me and my partner out alot!

I couldn't name one thing I didn't like. Everything was 10/10

A Great hotel in a great location

The location was excellent, right next to bars and restaurants in the square and not to far from the tram stop, The hotel was very clean and the lifts where possibly the fastest lifts that ive ever been in a hotel The room was a great size and on the top floor which included a fridge and complimentary can of water and fizzy water (im sure you could possibly swap for to stills) Also included was a decent size TV and nice bathroom and bath The bar overlooks the square where they have entertainment on now and again and theres also access to the square from the bar area The breakfast was standard help yourself but i asked the waitress to ask the chef for a couple of runny fried eggs which he did accommodate me for

Although the room was nice and big it was the attic room so our only window was from the skylight
