Lovely older hotel...elegant, spacious and very well maintained. Food was excellent as were the staff...my only beef was finding the car park! One way streets everywhere! Other than that, a very good stay.

The front desk staff here are superb. Friendly and helpful.
The location is central and convenient, but bring earplugs because it is exceptionally noisy. I didnt get to sleep until after 3am because despite wearing headphones the room was vibrating with the thudding of club music on a Friday night.
Although the room was very tidy, with a comfy bed and all expected amenities it was not thoroughly cleaned. Water stains on tap and sink. Hair ball on the carpet. I was only there for one night, so it felt churlish to complain - but I do wish hotels would properly pay their cleaning staff and give them a decent amount of time to clean rooms. I feel they have too much to do in too little time. This particular hotel offers a £5 drink voucher if you skip the housekeeping visit on a stay of 2 nights or more, which suggests to me that they probably understaff their housekeeping team in an effort to keep costs down.
Lovely staff but too noisy so am unlikely to boom again.
